Ivy Aretha glanced at him, then spoke up, "Mr. Gordon, you can go ahead with your work, I'm leaving now!"
As she was pushing open the door, a pleasant deep voice came from behind it.
"Six years ago, a small accident caused me to lose my memory, so even if we knew each other, I might not remember, so..."
"We don't know each other!"
Michael Gordon hadn't finished speaking and Ivy cut him off, then directly pushed the door and left.
Watching Ivy fleeing, Michael Gordon's gentian eyes narrowed deeply.
They said his mishap of losing memory six years ago happened in a woman's bed. What kind of person was he before-the accident? Was he more reckless than now?
So did she vehemently deny it for such reason?
Ivy ran breathlessly from the CEO's office to the bathroom before she exhaled deeply. Leaning on the sink, her body gradually lost strength.
She was the...misfortune that caused his memory loss six years ago.
The once pleasant mood of her first day at work was utterly ruined by the second encounter with Michael Gordon. By the time she returned home, she was completely exhausted.
When Ivy got home, Bianca had already come back from kindergarten with Sienna Harrison and was happily eating cake on the sofa.
Seeing her slump in, Bianca couldn't help but stare at her with a pair of jet-black eyes, "Mommy, did you get bullied by your boos on the first day of work?"
Ivy flung herself onto the sofa, took a deep breath, and then, as if remembering something, shot up from the sofa, looking at Bianca with a serious face.
"Baby, if one day mommy tells you that your daddy is not a rapist but a tall, rich and handsome man, what would you do?" Ivy suddenly stood, "You would not abandon mommy for your daddy, would you?"
Thinking about this possibility, Ivy suddenly felt life was pointless.
"A tall, rich, and handsome also raped mommy? Isn't that the same as a hooligan?" Bianca looked at her mother somewhat speechlessly. "Mommy, don't tell me you met my hooligan daddy on your first day of work!"
Daughter, you are really a seer, your daddy is indeed a hooligan, probably a philanderer!
"How...how could that be!" Ivy coughed twice and convincingly responded, "If I saw him, I would have castrated him on the spot!"
Although Ivy acted convincingly, her heart trembled in fear, worrying that Bianca might see through her. Fortunately, Michael Gordon had lost his memory. Otherwise, she might be doomed.
"Mommy, he gave you a baby. Don't you think it's too late to think about castrating him now?"
Bianca looked at her with contempt, then jumped off the couch, trotted to the fridge, and tossed her a bottle of yogurt.
Ivy: "..."
It's true, after being taken by him for so many years, thinking about castrating him now does seem a bit late. Still, considering what's ahead, that man probably won't let her live in peace.
The old resentment was forgotten, but he would probably remember the new grudge pretty solidly.
After finishing the yogurt, Ivy began to prepare dinner. Thankfully, when Sienna Harrison had sent Bianca home, she had also prepared the ingredients, so the meal preparation was quickly done.
"Baby, mommy just started a new job and might be very busy. Should we hire a nanny to help out?"
As Ivy was cooking, she watched her little one circling around her in the kitchen and couldn't help but bring up the idea.
She couldn't always lean on Sienna Harrison, who is a rich young lady, for help, after all.
"Mommy, let's not do that. If we hire a nanny, we mother and daughter probably have to eat air!"" Bianca shook her head, "Just send me to school in the morning when you go to work, and I can ride the school shuttle home in the afternoon!"
"Take the shuttle home alone?"
Even though Bianca was much more academically and emotionally mature than other kids, she was still a kid, and Ivy wasn't comfortable with the idea. So, she decisively shook her head: "No, you're too young!"
"Mommy, I'm already five years old, not a three-year-old kid anymore!"
Ivy: "..."
"Bang!"
No sooner had Michael Gordon stepped through the front door than a flying teacup came smashing towards him, causing him to dodge expertly.
Before he could lift his head, his father, Calvin Gordon's cursing filled the air.
"You ungrateful whelp, thinking you've grown wings?"
"Tell me, how did you mess up a perfectly good blind date?"
"Tell me, what's wrong with the young mistress Harrison?"
"You messed up, didn't even come home, where did you go gallivanting about last night?"
"Dad!"
Eventually, Michael Gordon couldn't hold it in anymore, facing Calvin Gordon, who was ranting in the hall, he finally spoke.
"Dad, can you be reasonable? How long will you continue to be so domineering?"
"Reasonable? You know about being reasonable? Then tell me what happened with your blind date with Miss Harrison yesterday? Where did you spend the night with which woman again?"
Thinking of it made Calvin Gordon angry. For so many years, his son hadn't had a serious relationship. There were scandals, one after another, his name dominating the newspaper headlines.
The blind dates he arranged were either stood up or blown off. He really didn't know what was going on his son's mind.
"What happened was that I didn't like her. We both didn't like each other, and it's not just me. Sienna Harrison felt the same way."
Since Sienna Harrison could let Ivy substitute for her on a blind date, she must have been unwilling in the first place.
So when Michael Gordon said this, he was quite confident.
Shrugging nonchalantly at a trembling Calvin Gordon, Michael Gordon turned to Aunt Wagner, "Aunt Wagner, can you make me a cup of coffee?"
"Yes, Young Master!"
"Michael Gordon, stop stuffing around, doesn't Sienna Harrison like you?"
Calvin Gordon naturally didn't believe his son's bluff. His son was good looking, rich, and talented. He was the man of dream for all women.
In fact, it was indeed the case. Over the years, there were countless distinguished and beautiful ladies making a courtesy call, but his son was interested in none. He would rather hang out all day and not find a decent woman to marry and have children.
There was nothing he could do. Finally agreeing to meet up with the young master of the Harrison family, he thought his son had got bored and put his mind in order, but no. Not only was the meeting a blow out, but his son had also been out all night.
