Morgana has already been transferred to New York, she has decided not to live in her parent's house because of the risk of running into Maxwell. She has been living life on a low key, the last thing she wants in her life is to see Maxwell or let him know that she is pregnant with his child, it's risky.
"Morgana, please show the customer around and help her with what she wants." Her senior instructed and like a good subordinate, she dutifully followed the customer, she took her to the dress section in the mall.
"What do you think of this one? My mother has set me up for a blind date, to be honest, I don't want this but she is forcing me into it and there's no way I can turn her down." The girl blabbed, as usual, Morgana always knows what to say to a customer.
"Since you don't want this, we have to make sure your dress is simple so it doesn't give out the wrong idea, that'll be a bad choice to make."Morgana picked a black sleeve dress with a round neck and a closed back, the dress was decent, simple yet classy.
"Try this on." She showed her to the changing room, the girl came back minutes later fully clad in the dress, it was knee length and also free wear.
"Oh wow," the girl muttered, she didn't expect the dress to be this nice. "You sure do know your job, I'll recommend your Mall to some of my friends." The girl muttered and went back inside the changing room to change back to the previous dress she had on.
After she left, Morgana was called by the manager of the mall, "I've been watching you and I must say I'm pleased that the Seattle branch recommended you. No customer you've handled has ever left this place unsatisfied."
"Let me be honest when I saw that you were pregnant, I didn't want to have you here but the Seattle branch vouched for you and now I can see why, continue like this and you'll get a raise."
"Thank you, sir, I'm happy to be of good use here." She bowed slightly and smiled.
"You can go back to work." She nodded and left.
*Three months later*
Although she is eight months gone, Morgana is still as agile as ever, her boss had suggested that she should go on leave but she refused. Her baby will be here soon, she has to save more she can't slack off.
A customer came in, she didn't just come alone, she had two girls accompanying her, they looked like her lackeys, the moment Morgana set her eyes on them, she knew they were trouble, she avoids such customers because they always make sure to pick on people serving them.
"Good morning Miss Anderson." Her superior stood up and bowed, the Andersons are one of the richest people in New York City.
Morgana lowered her head and tried to get away but the girl noticed her, "Hey you preggy, didn't you see me here? Get the fuck over here and greet me properly."
Morgana wondered what she was doing here, there are bigger and more popular malls in New York City yet she chose this one, is she here to show them that she has power more than anyone here?
She walked to her and bowed "Good morning Miss Anderson."
The girl waved her finger, "I want you to be the one serving us, show us what you have here, dazzle me, I've been seeing good reviews about this place and the customer service, I want to witness it first hand."
"Ugh, ma'am, Morgana is pregnant, I don't think she'll be able to handle you. Let me recommend our other staff, they are fit for you, you don't want her to draw you back." Morgana's supervisor was quick to step in, she knows these girls will give her a hard time.
"If she can't do her job because she is pregnant then she shouldn't be here, no one told her to be poor and pregnant. If she knew that working would be a hard thing for her to do then she should have gotten pregnant for a rich guy and not the poor baboon boyfriend or husband she has." The girl snapped, and her lackeys laughed.
"It's okay, I can handle them." What she said about Maxwell made her angry, her fingers curled around the hem of her pink top, and no one had ever insulted her ex-husband. She felt the urge to pull her hair and let her know that the father of her child was richer than her entire family but then, she couldn't say that so she put her thoughts together and caged her anger.
The girl and her friends took a sit on the posh couch found in the mall, "Be a darling and bring us tea."
"Yes ma'am." Morgana bowed her head, she came back with three cups of tea on a tray, everyone took a teacup except Miss Anderson.
"Sorry but you didn't ask me the kind of tea I want, bring me ice tea." She waved her hand dismissing her.
Morgana wanted to tell her that this wasn't a restaurant or coffee shop, she couldn't just walk in here and request tea like she owned the place but yet again, she couldn't because she was a VIP customer. She quietly went back and came back with iced tea.
The young girl took the teacup and took a sip from it, "What in heaven's name is this? Are you trying to kill me? You bitch." She poured the entire content on Morgana's head.
"What was that for?" Morgana snapped. Luckily the tea wasn't hot. "you walked in here like you own the place, ordering everyone around and requesting iced tea as if this is a coffee shop." She continued.
"How dare you talk to me in that manner?" Miss Anderson asked, she was furious, no one had ever spoken to her with that tone. Who gave this sales girl the right to talk to her like that?
"I know you are rich but you don't own the place, if you don't want to buy anything then leave." Morgana had had enough of them. Her lackeys gasped, they turned to Miss Anderson and wondered if she was going to let her get away with it.
"You bitch!" Miss Anderson pushed her face flat, just before she could kiss the floor with her stomach....
