"Are they supposed to be this big?" Zane muttered as he seemingly stared at the wall.
Krone, the chief's son, moved over to Chris and sat next to him. "Hey can he see through walls?" he asked. He had specifically approached Chris because he seemed to be the friendliest of the bunch.
"Actually he is blind, but he can see mana, and since beast bodies are filled with mana he can see them clearly even if there is something in the way, like the wall" Chris explained. Even though that was only half correct.
Zane could see mana through objects, but it depended on what the object was made of and whether it was natural or not. For example, Zane could see through a wooden wall but he couldn't see through a hill.
Meanwhile Zane was still looking at the spiders as they slowly made their way to the village, a hundred more meters and they would arrive at the gate.
The spiders where two meters tall with round bodies and a small head, well small when compared to the rest of the body. They had six long, extremely sharp legs , three on each side and two scorpion like pincers on their small heads.
Zane was surprised at how clearly he could see the spiders. Unlike when he used his sight grenades, Zane could see every inch of the beast. To put it in perspective it was like a sight grenade gave him 144p quality while this time he could see in 720p.
"What can you tell us about them Zane?" David asked, surprisingly the blind member of their team could see further than them.
"Two spiders, two meters tall, six legs three on each side big round bodies, small heads with a pair of pincers" Zane narrated.
David nodded, it wasn't that he didn't know what toxic spiders looked like but it was always good to be sure, and he wanted to know how good Zane's X-ray vision was.
"Clara, Adam and I will go out. Zane and the rest, you stay here. If one of us gets hurt we will find a way to come to you. Don't under any circumstance leave this room" David ordered.
"Wait!" Zane said before he threw 3000 point sight grenades at each of them.

"Let's hope you didn't use a lot of mana, we might get hurt you know" Clara said with a smile. She was worried that if Zane wasted his mana he might struggle to heal them.
"It's fine i have enough" Zane said, even though Clara and the others had already left.
Chris, Krine and Krone all rushed to a window to watch the fight. Zane didn't need to as he could see just as well through the wall.
The hunters arrived at the village gate and saw the spiders leisurely strolling towards the village. However when the spiders saw David and the others they suddenly stopped.
The spiders could feel that the humans blocking their way were not as simple as the food in the village. These humans felt powerful and dangerous.
"Hard shell, sharp legs, deadly pincers. Stay away from their front but beware even if you are behind, as they can suddenly turn. You know the plan....ATTACK!."
As soon as David gave the order, the three hunters shot forward without hesitation. Clara took her shield from her back while she and Adam beelined towards one of the spiders.
The beasts didn't wait for the enemy to attack first and also scurried forward at a fast pace.
Clara threw her shield directly at the head of their spider.
Bang!
The shield was boosted by a fire spell, which made it move faster that normal and it smashed against the head of the beast, it was too late to react.
However the shield had done next to no damage as the spider recovered a split second later.
SHING!
A wind blade from Adam cut off one of the spiders legs, causing it to lose balance for a second.
BOOM!
That second was enough for a giant flame ball to explode on it's head, courtesy of Clara. The explosion created black smoke which hid the spider from view.
WHOOSH!
Not even a second later the beast jumped out of the smoke with extreme speed, Startling Clara and Adam. They had thought that the explosion would at least buy them two seconds. However they where wrong.
BANG!
The spider landed on top of Clara!. It was too fast for her to react. Without wasting time the beast positioned Clara's neck between it's pincers and bit down with force...
SHING!
Another wind blade cut off yet another leg. Worse yet, the attack had cut off a leg from the same side as the first wind blade. The spider now had three left legs and only one right leg.
The loss of the additional leg caused the spider to fall....on top of Clara!
CRACK!
Clara's left leg was crushed under the weight of the spider. Clara was still alive only because her flame ball had destroyed half of the spider's pincer, otherwise her head wouldn't be connected to her body.
"GET OFF HER!!" Adam screamed as he leapt towards the spider. His hands outstretched behind him, releasing a powerful gust of wind that propelled him forward.
BANG!
Adam shoulder barged the spider, knocking it off Clara but also dislocating shoulder in the process, which he didn't hesitate to pop back in place with gritted teeth.
The spider quickly got back up.....at least it tried to.
SHING!
The last right leg also disappeared, now the spider was effectively grounded. With no legs on it's right side it couldn't stand up.
BANG!
BANG!
Clara fired off two more fireballs which connected at the spiders head. Adam and Clara weren't afraid the the spider would perform another surprise jump through the smoke, for obvious reasons.
However they where surprised to see the spider still alive after the smoke cleared. The defense of a toxic spider was no joke.
The two hunters knew that bombarding the spider with attacks would yield no results, thankfully they had a strategy for situations like this.
They both exchanged a nod as Clara sat up. Her leg was still mangled. Clara then put her hands together as as she closed her eyes. Two seconds later.....
"Scorching flames from the deepest pits of hell : Blazing Inferno!!" Clara shouted as he pointed her palms at the downed spider.
A gigantic wave of fire erupted from her hands and engulfed the spider. The fire was incredibly hot and massive it threatened to spread to the village 20 meters away, however...
"Sharp gales of heavenly pressure : Holly Hurricane!!" Adam shouted and intense wind came from his palm and blew towards the spider at blinding speed.
The wind surrounded the spider and picked up the flames from Clara's spell, stopping them from incinerating the village. Adam then held Clara's shoulder.
"Dual spell : Ultimate Infernal Tornado!!" They shouted at the same time.
WHOOM! BRRR!
What happened next could only be described as a fire twister. The dual spell created a giant pillar of fire more than 100 meters tall.
The wind controlled the flames and prevented them from spreading to the surroundings, it also concentrated the fire to increase the damage taken by the spider.
