"Chris! over here!" David shouted as he waved at Chris and Zane, they had just entered the tavern...after Zane calibrated his ears to the noise of drunk hunters.
Chris and Zane walked over to their table and sat down next to the three hunters.
"How was the hunt ?" Chris started off the conversation.
"Not good" David chuckled "We got our assess kicked by a grade two earth lion"
"Really !? and you survived!" Chris exclaimed in surprise.
"How strong is a rank two mana beast anyway ?" Zane suddenly asked. The three hunters just looked at Zane weirdly, who doesn't know how strong a rank two beast is?.
"Ohh right I almost forgot. Guys this is Zane he is.....a business partner of mine. Zane these are my friends, the man right there is David. The beautiful lady is Clara and the quiet one is Adam" Chris introduced as he pointed at the hunters.
"It's nice to meet you all" Zane said with a smile. All of a sudden, from Adam's direction, Zane saw mana starting to gather in front of him before it swiftly moved towards a piece of bread on the table. 'Magic spell!' Zane thought as he began to panic.
Zane saw the mana pick up the piece of bread before shooting it towards his head with blinding speed. 'He's not trying to hurt me' Zane thought. If Adam wanted to hurt Zane, he wouldn't use a piece of bread. This might have taken a while to explain, but only a split second had passed from when Zane first saw the mana gathering to when the bread was a few inches away from his face.

At the last second, Zane swiftly moved his hand and caught the bread. However because of the speed it was moving at, it broke into crumbs when it hit Zane's hand.
"What the hell!" Chris said in surprise, he hadn't seen the bread flying across the table, so to him it was like a piece of bread just teleported into Zane's hand before crumbling.
Zane chuckled as he dusted the bread crumbs off his hands and lap" Yes i am blind but I can defend myself. Especially from pieces of bread " he smiled at Adam.
Adam was shocked, he had used his full power on that piece of bread, but a non mage had easily caught it.
That was supposed to be Impossible, the bread must have been moving too fast for a non mage to even see it , and this non Mage was blind!. Not only had he seen it, but he had also seen who was responsible.
'Intresting' Adam thought.
"Zane, is your elemental affinity lightning by any chance ?" Adam asked. Clara and David where also wondering the same thing. They had both seen what had happened and the only way for Zane to have the speed to catch the bread was if he had the lightning element.
The lightning element was widely known as the fastest element, with the second being wind. Even a non mage with the lightning element would have the same speed as a mage with another element which isn't speed oriented, like earth for example.
"No i do not" Zane answered.
"Then what is your element ?. Is it wind?" David asked. Zane then glanced at Chris.
"You can trust them" Chris said, even though he had absolutely no idea was was happening.
The words from Chris made the hunter trio even more interested. What was so important that they would need to be trustworthy in order to have knowledge of?.
"My element is mana" Zane whispered, his whisper was however more than loud enough for the three mages to hear.
All of them furrowed their brows as they looked at the blindfolded Zane. Mana was not an element.
"What?" Clara said for the first time "When we say elemental affinity we mean----"
"I know what you mean, let me explain" Zane sighed.
5 minutes later and Zane had finished telling them his story. Of course he left out some parts like needing to kill , his inventory and most importantly, body Cultivation. He promised a certain Celestial not to tell anyone about that.
"Wow so, you saw my spell before i even cast it. I have a wind affinity so even I can't see my own spells except when the wind carries or moves something, but you saw it ?" Adam said and Zane just nodded.
"Can you move the mana outside of your body?" Clara asked.
"Yes I can but i lose control of it after a few seconds depending on it's density. That is actually how i can see, right now i am releasing mana through my breath.
The mana particles, which i call mana dust then settles on the surrounding surfaces, making an outline which i can see. Although this only works a meter radius around me." Zane explained.
"Interesting" David combed his fingers through his beard" Can you infuse your mana into your muscles to make them stronger?" he asked.
"I once tried that but failed " Zane said.
"He can also see mana cores" Chris butted in from the side. He was just a little bit annoyed that Zane was getting all the attention, but a business opportunity presented itself and Chris wanted to seize it.
"Really!?" Adam said in surprise "so you can see our cores right now"?
"Yes i can " Zane chuckled " along with the mana cores of every mage here" He pointed at the bar by rotation his wrist with his forefinger outstretched.
"That's really a good ability, so since you can see mana that means you can also see mana beasts right ?. Since their bodies are filled with concentrated mana." Adam said.
"That's what Chris also said but I have never encountered a mana beast before so i don't know" Zane answered.
"Mmmm" David hummed
"He can also heal people" Chris said. He sounded like a salesman trying to sale a product. The product being Zane in this situation.
"Seriously!?" Adam said in surprise. One couldn't miss the excitement in his voice and dollar....or gold signs appeared in Chris's eyes.
"How fast can you do it and how much energy does it take from you?" David said with hope.
"Uhhh i can prob-----"
SHING!!
Out of nowhere a knife appeared in Clara's hand and she cut a deep gash on her arm without any hesitation at all. Blood started oozing out of the wound, it wasn't a small cut.
Clara quickly burnt part of the wound with magic to stop the bleeding before standing up and walking to Zane.
"Heal this!" she said.
Zane was still frozen in shock. 'Are these people crazy!? , one tried to murder me with a piece of bread and the other just mutilated her own hand!!'.
Zane looked at the wound with shaky...eyes. The wound ran vertically from the inside of her elbow down to the middle of her palm. It was quite deep and Zane could see that blood was threatening to burst out once more.
"I know it doesn't look like it but this is quite painful. So if you don't mind please get to it." Clara said.
'Okay it's official, there are absolutely fuckin' insane' Zane thought as he held Clara's forearm as carefully as he could. He was trying not to hurt her...if that was possible.
With his other hand, Zane took 25 percent of his mana reserves and turned it to healing mana. He then brought his hand a few inches away from the wound before manipulating the mana to leave his hand and go into Clara.
