"Never again…" Marc said in a very low voice. "…never again will I entertain the ones lost after the fog, who will get lost and wander in the Wildlands go in at your peril."
Marc just said that and turned around but before he could make a few steps he heard a quivering voice of a man behind him.
"Y-y-you s-stay right t-there…" this made Marc pause as he took a peek through his shoulders who would want to trouble him further. His Aura strengthening as he stared at the person in question.
"Hmm?" Marc looked at the guy and felt annoyed for some reason but he held himself back as he wanted to keep the energy inside of him still so he could absorb it all back at his house.
"B-b-by the o-order of the King of PortWest you are t-to report to the Capital to r-r-receive y-your title from the King h-himself…" the man pulled out a scroll and shakily read the words written inside but Marc lost interest and turn around and left in his full speed not caring for the man.
"H-how d-dare he! He is b-being honored by the Royal Family yet he did not receive this honor, he must be a fake Saint. Y-yes that's right, he's a liar and must be punished for ignoring the Royal Family..." The guy stuttered at first but before he could continue he received a sudden slap from the young girl.
"Shut up!!" the girl was frustrated that she might have lost he chance to become a disciple or even a student under the new Saint but this man her father sent just went and tried to put accusations to a Saint of all people.
"Who dar-P-princess?! What are you doing here?!" the guy was about to get angry but seeing the face of the one that slapped him made him deflate instantly.
"Hais, this is what I have feared. We just got a new Saint in our land and first thing you do is antagonize him, did the King really send you? Even my Sister would have stopped him if she knew you were this stupid Gareth Warsinger." Baroness Diane said as she went to her niece and suddenly knocked her head with her fist.
"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING THERE?! I TOLD YOU THE SAINT DID NOT WANT ANYONE ON THIS SPECIFIC DAY YET YOU WENT IN NONETHELESS!! NOW ALL GOOD WILL WE HAVE IS GONE WITH YOUR STUBBORN HEAD!!" the Baroness knew the significance of a Saint level expert on every country and this might make enemies of their country second guess in attacking them knowing a new one has been found living in a country.
"I-I am sorry *sniffle*" the princess knew she was at fault and those around her felt bad too for not stopping their princess from going in.
"Y-you dare hit royalty yo…" Gareth of Warsinger Clan was about to chastise Dian but he was suddenly hit by her full force punch.
"F*ck Off!! I have had it with you! You even want to barge in there with your army to what? Force him to go to the Capital? Are you dumb or what? And what's wrong with me scolding my niece?!" Baroness Diane roared in anger as she had been delayed in getting inside the Fog to try and stop her niece because of this guy who brought a battalion of soldiers to go inside the Wildlands.
She knew what the Saint said and if he interpreted this as a declaration of War then he might send the hundreds of dangerous monsters in his Town which her friend Janice said to be made up of mostly A-class monsters.
Even the Kingdoms could barely make a company of A-ranked Knights led by an S-ranked leader while Empires could only make a few and they are well guarded secrets yet the small town of monsters were said to have hundreds of them inside and their leader is a Saint.
A force of a small country in the hands of an unknown Saint who seemed to be unclear to which side he is on, this scares a lot of people. She knew that if they antagonize such a force then even their large Kingdom would face great danger.
The Fog mountains could slow them down but from what she had seen that Saint could navigate it while riding his S-class Steel Backed Boar.
"*Sniffle* I can't become his disciple anymore…" the young teenage princess cried a bit knowing that maybe there is no more hope so Diane softened up and pulled her niece and her friends away.
"You, I won't stop you from going in but you have heard what the Saint had said. There will be none of his beast that would protect you from the other monsters within the Wildlands, you there! Are you not a member of the Warsinger Clan too?" Diane did not fear this clan of nobles that had been the ruler of this area for centuries.
She was a famous warrior and her soldiers were former adventurers too that were stronger than the elites of this old clan that has been degraded over the years because of incompetent descendants.
"Y-yes Baroness." A younger boy answered meekly towards Diane.
"Well you stay here and send a report to your clan leader, if your stupid uncle here stays alive then good but if no one gets back then at least I will not take the blame for his stupid decisions." Diane looked towards the fuming Gareth who could not blow up since a royalty is currently with the Baroness.
"I will also send a letter that it was on your own decision if you want to die inside the wildlands." Diane then left with her niece and brought her back to her Castle. Not one soldier of the Warsinger Clan went inside after that as they felt fear from the presence of Marc alone.
[Monster Town]
Marc just decided to call it Monster town as he did not care much of what name this place has. He looked at the empty streets and there he saw some rabbits trying to break down the walls but it seemed that making a mixture of Quicklime and ground up bones of the hunted beast somehow made a very sturdy wall.
Marc knew his strength is already superhuman that he does not know the limits yet but even his full powered punch only cracked the walls. Well it might make sense since he used the ground up bones of B-Class to A-class beast for the walls.
As well as very hard stone found in the caves and hard flexible wood to act as substitute for steel bars. They were even stronger, right now Marc has been cataloging the various things in this Wildlands.
Yet he knew he is nowhere even halfway from done, there are even areas he cannot wander easily since they too have rulers that he cannot defeat after all these years.
At most he could do was to drive them away worst is a stale mate, one in a Swampy Area ruled by a large 10 meter tall frog with a very annoying sets of tongues.
The frog was not the sole ruler as there was also the large 150-60 meter long python with a circumference of ten meters that once tried to steal Marc's prey.
Another is in a quite hot area where there was a red fiery 10 meter tall Gorilla with eight limbs, four arms and four legs.
Another is in a Cliffside area where a large bunch of birds live on various cave openings there and the one on top is weirdly a small falcon. It looked like one of those Blood Hawks he killed but this one was smaller and deadlier.
But this was one of the most annoying ones for Marc since the falcon could fly so fast he could not see it but thanks to his honed sense as a soldier he survived the first encounter, the falcon also has metallic feathers that made it able to slice prey while they are unaware of its attack.
Thankfully it seems to be only hunting that time and does not show very aggressive territorial tendencies. Since Marc seems to be able to avoid him he did not attack him anymore but rather watched his actions once he is on its territory.
Then there was the few mammal beasts that were very strong that even Bacon would have to retreat once he clashes with them.
Only these mammal beast seem to be few in number, especially the ones Marc nicknamed Shadow Leopards, three meter tall and six meter in length plus the two meter tail.
They do not have overly strong members that could fight Marc toe to toe but they are pack hunters that seemed to line with the S-rank evaluation. There is a pack of fifteen of these leopards from what Marc gathered.
They are quiet solitary and would not wander beyond their territory, the leader is strong enough to make Marc fight seriously but not as strong as those on top.
