By far only twelve lenses were made and he used them to make three telescopes to the leading monkeys who will scout out the situation.
Also he had used shed fur by the steel back boars as their arrow shafts since they looked like quills once they shed their back fur. They are even strong enough to handle the tension brought by the strong firing force of the small bows.
"You ride boars today, shoot enemy from afar. Others hide in the trees, bring lots of arrows with you." Marc said in ASL(American Sign language) to the monkeys who nodded.
The Marmosets ran back and helped in putting on armor to the 100 Steel Back Boars that are going to fight. While the other monkeys picked up more quivers with a hundred arrow each then climbed up the tall trees all around them to make a perimeter.
"Oink!" Bacon snorted on the side making Marc look and see the golden boar fully armored, then he looked behind and saw the other 100 boars also fully armed.
"Good job, now get ready in your positions. Wolves get ready to sniff anything coming near. The rest of you…!" Marc looked behind and saw the various beasts looking at him with intelligent eyes. "…You better protect my town or I'll roast all of you okay?"
"Roar!"
"Meow"
"Neigh!"
"Ruff!"
"Quack!"
"Chirp!"
The animals did not understand completely but Marc's smile made them shiver as he said his words so they somehow understood what he meant.
"Okay Tower Boars spread out!" Marc ordered and fifteen of the steel back boars trudged forward in their uniquely designed armor. They have similar looking armor like Bacon but theirs were made of thick steel alloys.
But the Howdah part was different as it was a large steel box with its four sides having a small lines for windows.
These are where the Marmosets are now stationed to shoot and each of these has four small marmosets positioned to act as turrets to hit enemy targets.
"Mwuahahaha behold my great creation!!" Marc laughed as he knew how he needed two clean strong hits to break the armor and knew even S-ranked adventurers would have a hard time breaking through the armor.
Now it is worn by a +A-class monster and now has dangerous snipers on board meant that it was a walking living artillery unit. Also the door to get inside are small so only those the size of the Marmosets could get in.
Marc also prepared for that by making the small cute monkeys learn kick boxing which they were seriously talented at.
"Okay now patrol our borders!!" Marc said as he walked back and put on his suit and just as he was done he felt another tremor come forth and this time he heard the howls of a spider monkey.
"So it is hear." Marc picked up his spear and placed it on his back along with a Frisbee shield hanging there, as well as four small throwing axes placed on his waist, then two short swords on his thigh, twenty throwing daggers on his chest, some darts on his wrist, a buckler on his right hand and a tower shield on his left hand.
"*Sniff* Ah… this reminds me of a familiar atmosphere." Marc knew that his past as a soldier is resurfacing and even when lazy he does not play when it comes to the continuation of his peace.
Marc jumped up towards the canopy and jump himself up branch to branch to arrive where the scout that alerted him about something. But as soon as he arrived he could see that there was a purple like mist appearing and spreading about a few leagues away up north.
It was not something anyone could miss, but Marc did not move since his territory has not yet been breached. But the Forest is stirring so he knew that he needed to make the big wigs here move unless it was at the last part.
Marc stood up, calmed himself down and was silent for a few seconds. It was then something was happening as his throat seemed to wiggle around but this was Marc adjusting his voice and sound.
A talent most humans have, being able to mimic voices, Marc and his past comrades in arms used to practice this to send signals and even studied different tones of animal moods.
And one of such they knew was the challenging tone which seemed to be able to agitate some wildlife in the Forest they were in before.
Marc had learned this during one of his Joint Training Exercises and they were faced with the skillful rangers of Southeast Asia.
It was a nightmare for Marc and his team to even last a day against them that he as well as his comrade learned of this skill.
Though it made him last longer he still remembered the deadly Scout Rangers and how they encircled him without him knowing.
A few moments later Marc opened his eyes after a brief reminiscence of his past and inhaled as much as he could then held it in until his face went red then opened his mouth.
*ROAR!!!!*
This was one thing that rupture his vocal chords before but thankfully he was able to recover after a few months as the thing he had mimicked was the roar of a predator that used its special way of roaring to stun their prey.
The Tiger, not much can be heard but the sound would reverberate and could be felt by its targets down to its bones ensuring that they will feel momentarily paralyzed for the tiger to kill its prey.
Marc now had confidence he could pull this off with his stronger body as well as his very loud voice. His roar stunned many even those under him and they felt the majesty of the King as he stood there in the canopy issuing his challenge all around.
His voice travelled far and wide that even the panicking local beast were stunned in place by the sound. Marc stood there waiting as he looked over the direction, of the purple haze, he knew who would receive the challenge and he totally did not like it.
*MOOO!!!*
On the Northeast a bellow that rivaled his own answered and Marc smiled dryly.
"So the Behemoth has answered huh?" Mark looked down and saw his monkeys recovering from his roar but instead of fear they seem to have admiration on their eyes.
"Tell the elder Rooster that to make sure they defend our area, be sure to follow the tactics I taught all of you." Marc then saw the monkey nod and leave his post briefly but as soon as it left there was another answer.
*ROAR!*
It was not as strong as the other one but it made Marc know who the other one was, another Tyrant Bear and it seemed to be very old from the sound of its roar.
"WROAH! WROAH! HUA! HUAA!!" This time another answered in the hot area with barks and screams as well as the faint sound of drumming.
*ROAR!!*
Marc did not back down and roared back again and the three again answered back but this time another was added.
*Clang! Clang!*
Mark looked further north and only knew the other thing that lived there, it was the Emperor Lobster.
Quite large about the same size of Behemoth, smaller than the Leviathan though. The large Whale that fought against the hundred tentacled Kraken.
"Another contender, good the more the better." Marc smiled and kept roaring to his enjoyment and moved closer to the Purple Haze. Hearing his Roar getting closer the challenged also converged towards where he is.
Marc did this gathering four other strong beasts the same caliber as him and the one mostly feeling the pressure is the Hill Turtle, since the Purple Haze was in his territory and now five other creatures as strong as him are converging his way.
It had never remembered something like this happening before, in the past every time the Haze appears some troublesome pest comes out and attacks everything but no ruler of a territory ever went to the ones that had the purple haze on theirs.
Even as a beast, the Hill Turtle which was just a very large snapping turtle was smart enough to understand that this challenger somehow wanted to gather these other four to his territory to face this purple haze.
Sure they can survive it but every time it appears the food and environment of the place gets destroyed thus forced others to suddenly forage during these times and hibernate for a few years to avoid the wave.
Other beasts that are not so lucky would be left to die and the cycle repeats again. In its centuries of life it made him feel that there might be something this challenger has thought off to prevent food from getting scarce.
Its eyes peered towards the purple Haze a kilometer away from it and snorted. The few beasts under its protection scattered and hid under the river bed as they felt their ruler's displeasure.
