Chapter 36 - Finding the Next Target

After breakfast, Theo went out to train with his rapier and also with magic, he was careful enough not to train around Nore for now. He still didn't trust her, and he had his reasons for that, the last time he trusted another player, he could have died if he wasn't quick enough.

A few hours later, when he returned, he noticed that Alika was teaching Nore, and she had a goblin staff in her hand, so he decided to give it a test. He walked over, stood next to Alika and asked her how the new student was doing.

"She won't be useful anytime soon, she has little mana and almost no aptitude for basic elements, her greatest affinity is with Air, but it's still below 50%." Alika said, not caring if her student heard her or not.

"If she continues like this, she will have little value in the camp, besides manual work and cleaning, I don't see much use, tell Kornel to train her in the afternoon in physical combat if she doesn't even do well in that, put her to take care of the birds and collect the eggs." Theo said it loudly, making sure Nore heard him.

"Yes sir." Alika replied.

Theo moved away from her but was still within range of the goblin staff's base spell, he wanted to test if she would try to attack him or even curse him after what he said. But to his surprise, she did nothing but concentrate on aiming at the target prepared by Alika, so he gave orders to Amethyst if she was also bad in combat. She should stay and take care of Copper's gardens and trees.

This was the cleanest and least tiring job there was at camp, and if this player couldn't do anything else useful, she could take care of it. It would also be a sample of how other players could be treated if they made a pact with him.

Even though it seemed like he was inhumane in attacking other players and even killing them if they refused to serve him. He still wouldn't opt for it if he had a choice, but the game was merciless, or he made others serve him, or he would serve others. And for him to serve anyone was out of the question.

As soon as he finished giving orders to Amethyst he got ready to take a shower before lunch, and in the afternoon he would have his classes normally with Alika. Upon entering the bath, he took a look at the regional chat, and there were some women asking for help and to be rescued. The men who called her to form a group and help protect themselves, in fact, just wanted to abuse their bodies. They also sent a message with the coordinates of where they were.

Theo thought for a moment about how to know their coordinates to compare them to the ones the women passed by. As soon as he wanted to know how they appeared, they were simply numbers, but they were what he needed to compare with the women's location. There were two different coordinates posted in the chat, and one of them was no more than 10 km from where Theo was if he made the right conversions. The other was too far away for him to think about doing anything.

Another thing he also discovered was that the military building could be moved if the owner wanted, but if it was at level 2, he would lose the level and not reimburse the player. For someone like him who had already invested a lot in his building, it wouldn't be worth it to want to change places at this point. Furthermore, he had also invested a lot in the place itself, making it safer, and would not leave just to have to redo his work.

He got out of the shower and asked Amethyst if she had any way of knowing the coordinates of where they were, and she replied, "No", but probably Alika or the human couple could help him with that. Thinking about this during lunch some time later, he asked.

"Can anyone here tell me the coordinates of where we are? And how do you get to a certain coordinate from here?" Theo asked.

"We elves use the stars to move through the forest, but that wouldn't help you find the place you're looking for." Alika replied.

"We of the werebear tribe don't go too far from our lands to avoid contact with other tribes or humans." Kornel responded.

"We only use maps made by adventurers or mercenaries who go out into the world and explore in all directions." The human woman spoke.

"Do you plan to save the women kidnapped by the players?" Nore questioned.

"No, I plan to attack the camp before they get too strong for me to deal with." Theo replied.

"And you plan to kill everyone?" She questioned him again.

"Only men and women will have the same options you had." He said.

"What if they refuse to make the pact? And they have no combat ability or magical aptitude, would you release them?" Nore asked one last question.

"Maybe, but have you ever thought that they might end up telling the world where my territory, and that this might end up bringing war to our home?" Theo questioned her after, answered her question.

Nore thought for some time before saying.

"I can help you get there if you free the girls after they swear they won't tell anyone about you or your location."

"I can even agree to this request after being sure of the usefulness of each one, and you won't be able to talk to them even via chat." Theo said it without even thinking about it.

After this agreement was made, they planned how the attack would happen, he and Nore would go with all the skeletons and ghosts to attack the enemy camp, and their subordinates would stay here, taking care of everything. They would send the ghost units ahead to kill as many enemy units as possible without alerting them, and then the skeletons would come in to capture everyone. As he would only kill them in his camp, he could turn them into units.
