As soon as the skeletons and wolves attacked the camp, everything became chaos, with units rushing to protect their lords and others rushing to attack the invaders. Theo took advantage of this chaos to launch some magical fire attacks towards the huts, at which point Nore was terrified because she thought he would kill all the players there. Even though he didn't need to explain himself, he decided it was best to avoid misunderstandings.
"The women are not there, I warned them beforehand to leave the huts, and I told my units to escort them and only use force if some of them try to rebel and flee." Theo explained and saw the look of relief on Nore's face when she heard him.
"Sorry to doubt you. But I didn't know if you would actually spare them just because I asked." Nore said.
"They are alive for now because they can be useful, if their usefulness is reduced to zero, and they don't want to make a silent agreement, all that will be left of them is a skeleton." Theo made Nore understand that his will and appeal didn't matter to him.
He certainly didn't want to have a bad relationship with one of her subordinates, but he also made her position very clear, these women would live or die according to her wishes. Despite this, he did not intend to become a heartless killer who would kill anyone for no reason.
The players who were in the huts ran away as soon as they smelled smoke or saw the fire, some were terrified, others were angry that their camp was under attack. The units were then ordered to attack the intruders as soon as the camp leader saw that they were zombies, skeletons, and wolves.
The battle then intensified, but as skeletons do not feel fear or pain, they had the advantage over the humanoid units, and as a result, they were dominated and killed. The wolves remained in the rear, hunting those who turned their backs on the battle and tried to escape, and that is why they only had one casualty during the entire attack.
When it was all over, the women were escorted to Theo's side, and the men were left unconscious and tied up by the skeletons, then tied to some wolves to be taken to Theo's camp more quickly. The women willingly agreed to accompany him, as in addition to saving them, they also saw and spoke personally to Nore.
After that, the return trip was much faster, as the wolves already knew the path and didn't need to worry about possible attacks from enemy units. It didn't take much more than an hour to get back, and when they arrived, the women were impressed to see the structure of the wall that Theo had built in the camp and then the people living there.
Just as they were impressed, he left the men near the mausoleum, leaving them under the supervision of Amethyst and Alika. Letting them use the bathtub and eat before getting to the main business, combat, and magic tests, each with a supervisor.
When they were all ready, they began testing with Alika and then moved on to Kornel, one of them was proficient in armed combat. She had been a police officer on Earth, but retired because she became pregnant and gave up her career. Of the other women, none had much magical power or even an affinity for magic, and they were even worse in combat.
While they were doing these tests, Theo used the bathtub and stayed with Copper for a while before leaving his house and going to Alika to get the results. As soon as he found out everything, he called the women and told them how everything would work from now on.
"You have already done your tests, and besides Izabel Cruz, none of you have much value to me at this moment. But I will give them a chance to show that they can be useful in something, even if it is in the future." Theo began.
"Come forward and tell us your jobs or training on Earth. After that, I will decide those who can stay and those who must leave, I can't support more people who didn't help here." He finished.
In order, they introduced themselves and said everything they knew and did on Earth. The only ones who caught Theo's attention were Lara and Mariana, a chef and a stylist, respectively. They were jobs that he could use right away, and then they would only be more useful, when they had abundant resources they could sell ready-made dishes to the survivors, and more stylish clothes made with the materials acquired here.
Theo called the three women to the front of the group and offered them jobs if they would make the pact Nore had made. They all accepted because they realized that they could soon have lives like the ones they had on Earth in the past. Comfortable, safe, and with a job to keep them sane.
The others were all jealous that they couldn't stay, but they understood why he was doing this. Many players didn't have food to eat, so having to support other people without getting anything in return was simply a death sentence for everyone.
After resolving the pact with those who would stay, Theo told the others how things would be and that they could only get out alive if they made the pact of silence, and they all agreed without blinking. They just wanted to keep their lives since they couldn't stay here, and everyone quickly made pacts.
When the last woman made her pact, it was starting to get dark, so Theo used the system menu and created three new houses for her subordinates and told them to share them with the others for that night. In the morning, everyone who would not stay would be accompanied by one of the ghosts until they moved 5 kilometers away from the camp. On this journey, they would be safe, and from then on, they would be on their own.
With that resolved, Theo decided he was too tired to still train with Alika, so he had dinner in his room, and after that, he went to sleep with Copper. But he realized that his friend was almost reaching adulthood due to his size, and this would allow Theo to lead him into attacks against players because he would be strong enough to not only protect himself. But also cause serious damage to other units or the same players.
