Chapter 1 - : Enter Star Rise University

This world is always competing for fame. Well, what comes with fame you ask? Money, happiness, respect, love, being known, and more money.

From pro gamers and streamers to idols and celebrities. Everyone wants to be famous and if you are not famous, well you're going to live a poor life, but if you are famous your gonna live a lovely life of luxury.

Star Rise University is a famous private school for young rising stars or just stars in general. Many people want to attend it, I mean who doesn't want to live a life with fame and money?

'I don't want to be famous.'

I thought to myself as I finished reading a magazine I found lying around the couch. Being famous isn't all that good. People pray for your rise and downfall as well and isn't that just annoying?

'You try your hardest and yet not everyone acknowledges you.'

I thought to myself again as I looked at a letter from Star Rise University I got out of my hotel room doorstep. I didn't know how they got my address and room number, but this university is top-class.

I second thought about accepting my letter, but I am in need of money.

I started to sign my life away to Star Rise on the "Please sign here to accept" part.

….

A couple of days later they sent me another letter, but this time it came with a watch. The watch seemed advanced and cool. It came with a screen and I picked up the instructions manual for the watch. "1. Click on the button beside the screen to activate the watch. 2. Click on the "Followers" tab to see your followers and click on the "Wallet" tab to exchange and receive digital cash. 3. You must not lose this watch or else you will be expelled for security purposes. 4. For news and media click on the "Media" tab. Who knows you might see yourself online some day and for your status you also click on the "Media" tab and go on to status. 5. Have fun and stay popular."

I speed-ran through the instructions and I looked at another paper with rules on it.

"1. Again you mustn't lose your watch or you will get expelled. 2. You must have a phone or a device to post to our social media platform called "Star Rise Media" You will get expelled if you don't have a device in a week. 3. We will be responsible for physical bullying and injuries, but cyberbullying and gossip aren't our problem. 4. Everything we do is mostly digital, except for attending class. Class must have a physical attendance. 5. If your status hasn't increased in two months, then you will get expelled. 6. Your grades are important too, lower than a C after a month is also an expulsion. 7. Have fun on your journey to fame."

This school is too focused on looking good. Their system is quite brutal and strict, but it will have to do.

"If don't do that you get expelled and if do this you also get expelled, can this school get even more annoying," I muttered to myself as I put all the papers inside a backpack.

'Did they forget to give me my schedule or was I just careless and lost it while rummaging through these papers?'

I couldn't have lost my papers, right?

I wasn't even on campus and I was already in deep trouble. I tried to look for it all over the couch I was sitting on.

'Shit, where is it, where is it?'

My mind raced as I looked around my entire living room, just for a goddam piece of printed paper.

Ding

It finally clicked. I grabbed my phone and opened up the school's website and I signed in. I put my information in the digital form and there it was. My schedule was right there in front of my eyes.

'No wonder why they were so focused on not having a phone.'

This is the opposite of most schools. Most schools make you spend less on your devices, but this school seems to promote it.

The time was 7:00 in the morning and school started at 7:30, so I needed to go quickly.

Hastly, I grabbed my backpack and cell phone. I wrapped the watch around my wrist and tightened it, so it wouldn't get loose.

I dashed out of the hotel I was staying at and ran through the streets of the lovely district of Los Angeles, California. The weather is always as hot as ever. Careful of wearing black cause you might catch on fire. I might be exaggerating a bit, but the hot climate isn't gonna change, until winter.

Google Maps, helped a ton on my journey to find this school, and as soon as I turned the corner.

"*Bam*"

I fell back hard and rubbed my head.

"Oww…damn it"

I didn't know what I hit, but it seemed soft and hard at the same time.

"Do you even look where you are going, mister?"

I looked forward and saw a girl with blue hair and light blue eyes in the same position as me. She looked around 14 or 15, but I couldn't tell.

"What do you mean? Couldn't you watch where you're going?" I replied.

"I was gonna start a live stream soon and you ruined it,"

"What do you mean, "start a lifestream soon" You didn't even start yet."

"How would you know you low life"

"Maybe there is a reason why you are wearing colored contacts and a wig or is it dyed,"

"It is dyed for your information and put some respect my name."

"I don't even know who you are."

First impressions tell everything and I could already tell this girl was a massive bitch.

"How could you not know me for I am the one and only, Lovecraft,"

"Lovecraft? Isn't he a writer? What is your real name?"

"I won't tell a nobody my real Identity."

I sigh knowing that this squabble needs to be done quickly before I am late.

"Listen you do you, Lovecraft, but don't get in my way. I need to go to school."

I looked at the watch it was already 7:20.

I got up and ran in the direction of the school while leaving the girl behind.

"Geez, what was his problem? How could he not know me, a famous streamer from Canada? Sure I may have more of an American accent, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't recognize me."

The girl stood up and grabbed her stuff before running in the same direction as Felix. 'Shit I need to go to school before I am late. I heard a new student will arrive too, so that would be nice.'

The girl arrives at the school which seems pretty big from up close but seems so very small from a distance.

She walks inside and the hallways are pretty crowded. She maneuvers herself around the crowd and uses a familiar watch on her wrist to open her locker and put her stuff in before taking out her class notebooks.

She looks at her watch taps on the Media, tab, and opens her status. She is a streamer-ranked student, which is pretty much higher, than a gamer or a donator.

She walks towards her classroom and a tag on the door says "Mrs. Dorothy" She walks into the classroom and sits in her seat which is to the right in the third out of six rows, also known as the middle row.

The teacher walks in with a stack of papers and puts them to the side while she is about to announce something.

"Alright class, I know all of you guys have heard about the new student coming into our school. He will be joining this class and I want all of you guys to treat him nicely"

'I wonder what he will be like. Maybe kind, smart, and good-looking or rough and bold' the girl thought to herself.

"Alright guys I will introduce you," she says as a familiar blonde-haired boy walks into the classroom.

The blue-haired girl's mouth dripped as soon as she saw him.

"Welcome, Felix Taylor"

As both Felix and the blue-haired girl's eyes met. They both screamed.

"You are here as well," They said as a union.

Looks like Felix has a long way to go…
