Chapter 33 - Dong-Han's presence

He seethed her with his glare. "He was speedy this morning to cure you; what will you call that then?"

"You are asking me a question that should be answered by Dong-Han!" She growled back.

"Then why is he mentioning 'Take care of yourself'? Asked Dae Hyeon.

"A little correction is needed. He mentioned 'too' at the end of the sentence." she dredged up.

He clenched her chin and leaned his face closer to her. Conveying intense pique, he asked, "Are you saying he wrote it for me but added a little care for you for formalities?"

She went silent.

"If that is the case, why did he hand it to you secretly?" he asked, pulling back his face.

"I repeat, you are asking questions that should be answered by him!" she said. This time, calmly.

"Okay, I will do as you say! But... Why do you keep this secret from me? and you used my weakness to distract me," he clenched the point.

Now Sun-Hwa struggled for words.

"Are you thinking that I'm ex. So... You have nothing to do with me anymore? And using my love to treat me as a stone?" He stepped questions in line, which made her hang back.

Overcoming her hesitancy, she spoke out, "Dae-Hyeonna, this has nothing to do with your love. He mentioned all about you, not about me." She paused. Stone? Am I treating you like a stone? Thought to herself, smirking behind her stubborn face. If I had thought of you as stone, why do I have to eat the claws you offered innocently? She asked herself about her inner thoughts.

"Yes, I treat you like stone because I don't want you anymore. You are the one who kept pestering me. And!"

She steadily met his glare. "It's my will whether I choose you or dump you, and you also have no right to ask whether I love someone else or chase after someone else since you are my ex!"

"Writing about me? Hah.." he sniggered. "Sun Hwa, he indirectly says he wants you to be safe. You can't even understand what he meant behind those words."

"Yes, I don't understand. I only took what he said about you. Because... I.." she delayed to say the next words, blinking often and feeling uncomfortable to reveal.

"You?" he asked, raising his brows questionably.

She shoved him away, now free from his ruthless hug. "Because... I love you, not him, to understand his hidden message!" She stomped her words, walking away from him quickly, leaving him to think for a moment. He appeared to have missed what she meant just now.

Did she say I love you? He asked himself and twirled his neck, only to find she had left the office. He geared up his feet and ran out.

"Sun Hwa," he gripped her hand and veered her to face him. She spun, falling onto his chest instead, but was quick to back off and stab with a frantic look.

"Did you say I love you?" asked Dae-Hyeon.

"Yes!" she stamped her wrath. "But I didn't say I wanted to live with you."

Before his gladness came out fully, her declaration pierced his heart and destroyed his smiling face.

She shook off his hand and walked away from him again.

Seeing her walk out of the entrance by showing back, he sounded, "Why?"

He received back his echo, which reverberated in the dark hall alone. She left the company without minding him.

He ran back again and glimpsed her. She was about to pass his car. He pinned her to his car door, clenched her wrists, and pressed them onto the car. "I just want to make things clear. Whether he loves you or not, that's not a matter at all. You love me; you spelled it out at last. That's what matters!" he said, overwhelmed with joy.

"Yes, but-"

His lips were sucking up hers passionately. A little bit of wildness played with his emotions, which were reflected in his non-stop sucks and tightening grip of hands as her heartbeat thudded out of her chest. As she felt his intensive kiss's warm caressing of her skin, her trembling pupils calmed down, and her eyelashes tenderly closed her eyes to welcome his lust-filled, passionate taste of lips.

Half an hour later...

They arrived at their hotel room. She took off her coat, went inside her room, and shut the door behind her, which had only an inch to slam Dae-Hyeon's nose, who backed off immediately.

He threw a chagrin at the closed door after realising she didn't give her approval but had just accepted that because she couldn't avoid his touch.

At midnight, Dae-Hyeon's phone rang while he was napping on the sofa. He awakened, sat up, and dragged his phone from the sofa table.

He squeezed his eyes before getting a clear sight of the caller's name, 'Dong-Han'. In a blink, a frown formed on his face with the thought that the fight between him and Sun-Hwa was all because of Dong Han's letter.

He slid the green caller icon and held the phone near his ear. "What?"

"Open the door," Dong Han said.

Dae-Hyeon was like, "Hah?"

The next day, early in the morning, Sun-Hwa woke up, yawning, and got off the bed in yesterday's outfit, which exposed her fairer skin. She came out of the room. squeezing her eye, the other eye got a sight of Dong-Han waving at her with a cheerful smile, and his hands were resting on Dae-Hyeon's shoulder, who was meeting her gaze, extremely annoyed.

She dropped her hand quickly and asked, "What are you doing here in the early morning?"

"I'm here to take care of both of you," replied Dong-Han, beaming at her.

She switched her gaze to Dae-Hyeon. He was just looking at her. Just a look! But Sun-Hwa was only aware of what his look was saying.

Judging her gaze at Dae-Hyeon, cheerfulness dropped, and it transformed into downcastness with a downward face. "Am I disturbing husband and wife? Sorry, I'll excuse myself," he apologised, standing up to leave the hotel room.

He struck her pupils and caught a view of Dong-Han leaving with a slack shoulder. "One sec!" she stopped him. "Are you okay with sleeping on the sofa? Because here we have only one bed."

"I'm okay with everything as long as you and Dae-Hyeon are here," his face beamed brightly, and a sparkle of light shined at the corner of his eyes as he satisfied himself by completing his first task of catching her attention.

"I'm not okay with it!" Dae-Hyeon stood up, stomping his feet.

"Why?" Sun Hwa asked.

"Where will I sleep if he sleeps on the sofa?" he asked, giving a bombastic side eye to Doing Han.

"You can sleep with Sun Hwa. Aren't you couples?" Dong Han suggested rubbing his side body over his side body like a needy dog and winking.

Dae-Hyeon pushed him away, turned to look at Sun-Hwa, and was about to open up his side opinion.

Sun-Hwa overtook him. "If you keep talking like this, the door is always open for you. You can leave immediately if you don't want my fist stamp on your face. And Dae-Hyeonna!"

She looked at Dae-Hyeon.

"You are always an unwelcome guest here. If you feel uncomfortable with him, you can go to your house. The door will open for you too." She said it heartlessly and headed to the restroom, which was in the small living room, leaving two of them standing right there with inwardly folded lips.
