Chapter 34 - Workaholic

One hour later, Sun-Hwa was seated at the dining table as Dae-Hyoen and Dong Han made up the table.

"Why are you in an office suit?" She asked, looking at Dong-Han while Dae-Hyeon served food for her.

"I'm going to work with you guys," he replied.

"With us?" She asked. He sent a nod in response, coupled with a lovely smile, before shovelling in cooked rice.

"Eat up!" Dae-Hyeon shoved rice inside her mouth to stop her from building a conversation. She chomped and exsufflated a bombastic side eye at him once before picking up her chopsticks.

After that, they came downstairs, following one by one.

At entrance,

"Don't you want to come with me, Sun-Hwa?"

Dong-Han asked, opening the door wide for her while Sun-Hwa was about to get in Dae-Hyeon's car. Dae-Hyeon stood behind her as if he were waiting for her to get in first.

Assessing Sun-Hwa's slightest distraction and Dong-Han's latest module car, which was foremost in both comfort and expenditure, Dae-Hyeon gripped her arms, shoved her into his car, hurriedly shut the door loudly, and headed to the driver seat.

Dong-Ham shrugged with pursed lips before getting in his car. Did I ask something wrong? He thought to himself, gawking at Dae-Hyeon's car leaving the street.

At the office.

Dae-Hyeon went in first, and Sun-Hwa and Dong-Han stepped in following him. Intern Hyein, who was just unseated, turned around to bow to Sun-Hwa after sending respect to Dae-Hyeon, widened her eyes, dropped her jaw in astonishment, and additionally fainted on the floor quickly.

"Hyein," Sun-Hwa fluttered, sitting on a knee, tapping her cheek to get back to consciousness. Dae-Hyeon came running and captured Intern Hyein, who collapsed on the floor.

Dong-Han clung to the door like a lizard, with a leg hugging the door. His terrified, shaded eyes appraised the motionless Intern Hyein.

Sun-Hwa looked up at Joi, who was admiring Dong-Han, paying no heed to blink as well as breathe.

"What's written on his face, Joi? Take that water bottle fast!" Sun-Hwa shouted, knitting her brows at her.

Dong-Han dropped his leg, came to stand normally, and carried his glance up to look at Joi, who was mesmerised by his handsome look. He folded his lips inward as they curled into a gratifying smile. Am I that handsome? He dubiously questioned himself, twitching one brow at Dae-Hyeon, who was splashing an envious stare at him.

"Ahh..." Joi recalled her consciousness, fetched a water bottle from her table, and handed it to Sun-Hwa.

Sun-Hwa splashed some water on Hyein's face. Hyein's closed eyes crinkled and opened slowly as Sun-Hwa lent a hand to lift her.

"Are you okay, Hyein?"

Sun-Hwa asked, moving Hyein's hair bangs away from her eyes, which had been blocking her view, to stand Sun-Hwa's face in front of her sight.

However, as soon as her hair made its way into her view, her first sight was Dong-Han, who came standing next to Sun-Hwa, looking Hyein in the eyes.

Hyein leaned her face towards Sun-Hwa's ear as if she were going to whisper. "Is he a new intern?"

She asked loudly instead. It caused Sun-Hwa to grind her teeth with an irascible look on her face, and her feet staggered backwards while she tried to move away from Hyein.

"Ah!"

Sun-Hwa fell onto someone's arm. astonishment embedded in everyone's glance, including Dae-Hyeon. Yet, Dae-Hyeon's expression suffused resentment with awe.

Sun-Hwa looked up at the person's face at a slow pace with a muddled look on her face.

"You are alright, Sun-Hwa," Dong-Han said smilingly, helping her to stand straight.

Hyein drew her steps closer to Sun-Hwa again as her admiring gaze was still fixed on Dong-Han meeting Sun-Hwa's fluttering eyelashes. Promptly after his corner sight caught Hyein's movement towards Sun-Hwa, he dragged Sun-Hwa to his side, causing their astonishment to reach the top of their heads and explode.

"Stop scaring her, little girl!"

Dong-Han warned softly while everyone's eyes subtly narrowed in the extreme conflict comprising Dae-Hyeon.

Little girl? Hyein asked herself, frowning at him before declaring with cuts, "Hey, young boy! I'm a senior intern here."

"I'm your senior compared to everything; I'm a 30-year-old man."

"What?"

Joi and Hyein both shouted with confusion. They couldn't believe their eyes.

Yes, who can believe a handsome, charming man looking like a college guy saying he is a 30-year-old man?

"Yes, Hyein. He is more like a brother to you. So don't grow the idea of drooling over him. Even if he falls for you one day, he will die before you. So you should live the rest of your life alone in this world, Hyein. So, don't chase after him. If you have an idea, drop it for your own good." Sun-Hwa said, moving her lips closer to Hyein and longingly glazing at Dong-Han. "You have so much left to enjoy; don't lose it by falling for this workaholic man."

Sun-Hwa whispered, heading to her seat without even minding Dae-Hyeon's pucker rows at her.

"Am-Am I a workaholic?" Dong-Han's voice cracked, pouting at Sun-Hwa, who was sitting on her seat casually.

"Wow, so cute!" Hyein began to drool at Dong-Han, even before the wetness of Sun-Hwa's advice dried.

As Frazzle whirled out his lips into a sigh, Dae-Hyeon veered back to his room.

"Hmm, Hhan Hyein, How about you try out, boss? He is just five years older than you. Just five years." Sun-Hwa suggested and pressurised 'Just Five Years', which dug Dae-Hyeon's fury in no time. However, he went straight without breaking his walk.

"No, leader. We already know you were a couple. So I'll go with this old, young-looking man!" Hyein ensured, dragging a seat for Dong-Han and even tidying up the unused table next to hers for his.

"Ho-How-How did you know?" Sun-Hwa stuttered, pausing her fingers from pressing the power-on button of the computer. Dae-Hyeon went inside his place once after giving a side eye to Sun-Hwa as if he didn't mind that.

"Secret," Hyein spun to answer and spun back to Dong-Han, only to find he had already reached the table next to Sun-Hwa's.

"I'll sit here," he said, offering a shy smile and punching his buttocks on seat quickly before Hyein continued with another drooling.

"Sit back, Hyein. We can't marry everyone my eyes see." Joi dragged Hyein to make her settle back to her work.

After overcoming shock, Sun-Hwa asked, "Where is Dohan? I don't see his leave letter."

"We don't know either, leader," Joi answered after judging Hyein's wretched face.
