On a sunny day, inside the coffee shop
"You are so lucky to have him." One of the well-dressed women at the table expressed elation.
The young woman in front of her, Sun-Hwa, splashed a proud smile with a tinge of smirk.
"He must have loved you more than himself," another woman in the group joined.
Sun-Hwa's lips curled into an infirm smile. As those women picked up a coffee cup, her caramel pupils budged to the corner, and her mind was regathering the unforgettable moment in front of her eyes.
Four months ago...
It was her first wedding anniversary.
In the slightest dark room where lights were off, she was framing a dejected smirk at the wide glass window as her forlorn eyes slackingly stared at the dark sky that had no stars or moon.
The same hopeless sigh escaped her lips. "You are reminding me my life is meant to be dark." She mournfully declared.
As she braced the white, neat bed longingly, the door opening sound turned her head.
She gasped, quickly unseated, and her miserable eyes altered to incredible shock.
"Sun-Hwa," A drunken, soft, deep voice came from the male body figure that plunged into the dark while standing right near the door.
She was quick-witted enough to figure out it was her playboy husband, the one she always loved no matter what happened.
As he stepped further towards her, his broad shoulders and small waist suited his normal, well-muscled, well-shaped body, all reflected in unclear shadows only. She couldn't get a clear glimpse of his face. It made her heartbeat worse.
Because today was their first anniversary, the day he outlined as her last day with him, once the sun came back out after this night, she should sign the divorce papers that he had always wished for ever since the first day of their marriage.
Without announcing, his lips pressed against hers as his hand cupped her tenter chin tightly.
At this time, she must have pushed him away because she had never wanted to be touched by a filthy man's hand, which played with other women's. However, deep inside, her heart sent a message: 'He came to you instead of spending time with others. And today was your anniversary. This must be his proposal; accept it'
"Did he change his mind?" She asked herself while his lips were passionately sucking up hers and her hands were dithering to touch his chest.
Just when his horny lips became aggressive, mixed with passion, and his hands caressed her waist chronically, her body couldn't tolerate his move. She collapsed on the bed on her back shoulder. He fell on her and interlocked her hands above her head, not willing to release her.
The next day dawned.
Her love-filled eyes admired her tired husband's sleeping beauty as the morning's glittering shades of sun came through the wide, transparent window that splashed on his backside.
As it scattered from his back, his whole body gleamed like an angel. His rosy lips seemed to be calm. That sharp, straight nose bridge and well-balanced, contoured brows suited his handsome, sexy oval face. Those messy hair bags over his forehead also distinguished him as an enchanting person.
"At last, my man loved me." She coyly smiled and pulled the bedsheet up to her neck.
Suddenly, she got a glimpse of him sucking his own lips and rolling his eyeball inside his closed eyes as if he were going to awaken soon.
Instantly, she shut her eyes and went back to sleep to not be shamed in front of him after 'making love' happened unannounced as a one-night stand.
He felt a slight headache just as he opened his sleepy eyes. He pulled his hands up to his eyes to rub them. As his dim vision became vivid, his eyes expanded in appal. "Sun-Hwa?"
It didn't appear to be a fear-tinged shock but a regret-tinged shock.
He tapped her cheek and tried to wake her up.
She twitched her performing face as if she were just waking up.
"Mmm..." She wrinkled her whole body tiredly and opened her eyes.
Seeing him tensed and searching hurriedly all over the bed and the floor, she sat up and confusedly asked, "What are you searching for?"
"Did I use protection?" He asked and looked under the bed.
That forsaken her heart in no time. He didn't love me? She frustrated.
He slacked his shoulders, and a deep, relaxed sigh escaped his lips only after he caught sight of the ripped condom pack on the other side of the bed.
He then shifted his unbothered face to her dejected face. "Don't worry, I used protection. You can't be pregnant. Don't forget, you should sign on diverse paper today." He informed her as if everything were just nothing.
He then picked up his shirt and put it on in front of her while she was deep inside, encountering imprudent shock.
"Sun-Hwa?" He dribbled from shock. Only after that was she able to move the frozen eyeball.
"Sorry, I didn't mean it. Don't take vengeance for it; you had already promised me a divorce." He declared guiltily, and his slight unnerve expected her reply.
Without screening any hatred or love, she simply requested, "I need to overcome this incident; give me some months."
Since their marriage, he has never touched her. It was his first time.
He buckled his brows. However, conceiving that yesterday night was his mistake, he agreed quickly.
He then reminded her before leaving the room, "Don't show up without the defined amount; otherwise, you need to be a secretary under me."
Back to the current sunny day...
"Yes, Han Sun-hwa. You succeed in your dream after you get him. Don't let success deprive him. You should treat him nice." Another young woman advised ecstatically.
Still, she did not dare to disintegrate the secret that her delightful smile enshrouded.
Han Sun-Hwa was a 23-year-old young woman with an elegant, well-shaped body. She owns one of the most popular business companies in South Korea, and a lot of businessmen stand in line to offer her a partnership in order to seize it and drag her down from the top.
Everyone was aware that the person behind her success was the younger son of Mr. Jang, husband of Han Sun-Hwa, Jang Dae-Hyeon, who loved her from all his heart. If she hadn't married Jang Dae-Hyeon, she wouldn't have come this far after losing her ill parents in her early 20s.
However, all of that was delineated as a hoax, except for the truth that Jang Dae-Hyoen was her legal husband.
When she was a 21-year-old orphaned girl with no place to go, Mr. Jang's family adopted her for their friendship with her parents, but under a stipulation 'she must marry their son'.
Having no choice and her inner self's desire to taste this world, she came to terms with their demand. After all, this crucial life led her to marry a selfish person who never cared about anyone but used everyone for his desires.
When she came to know all about the masked face of Jang Dae-Hyeon, she ascertained she had accidentally tackled into their trap. Only after that did she assert that she should make a life for herself no matter what.
She decided to stay behind his shadow until she reached this successful state. Literally, the hard work she had put in built that face full of herself alone, not even a tinge of anyone's.
Now, she has everything she had dreamed of except true love.
Back to the current conversation...
Sun-Hwa nodded and smiled at every compliment that invaded her two ears.
At the time, her phone on her lap buzzed. She looked down at it, reading, 'Madam, I got Mr. Jang Dae-Hyoen. Come fast.'
It was from her PA, Do Han-Se.
"One sec! One sec!" She dampened everyone's flooding compliments as she unseated quickly and picked up her handbag.
"Sorry, I have to go now." She informed them in a rush, offering a lovely smile and rushing outside, leaving them to blink in bafflement.
"Hey, guys, it's 6:00 PM now." With narrowing eyes and a sly smile, one of the young women pointed out her wristwatch to all of them.
"Ohhh...." All of them trailed shyly, and their faces reddened with shy smiles.
Han Sun-Hwa and Jang Dae-Hyoen were a blissful married couple that Dae-Hyeon framed in front of the public for his company's growth and his self-esteem.
"She must be so lucky to enjoy it every day." The same young woman complimented her with playful jealousy.
Outside of the coffee shop.
Han Sun-Hwa called her PA and instructed, "Stay there; don't lose him. I'll be there soon." She then hung up the phone and got in her white car.
In ten minutes, her car arrived at the bar.
She pulled over the white car in the parking lot of the pub. She got out of the car. With a stony face and a tightened grip on the divorce paper, she headed inside the pub.
