Chapter 4 - Dae-Hyeon's sudden rush

"Why? Do you have a soft side for her?" His manager raised a brow dubiously at him.

Dae-Hyeon went back to his seat, unanswered, and scorn flowed down from his face as if he loathed her privately for some reason that he couldn't explain.

At ground floor.

"Mr. Sun-Hwa, here!"

"Here. Take this too!"

Each of the files climbed on her hand step by step as Sun-Hwa grunted to keep herself from falling backwards. And some of them put their pendrives inside her pockets.

After hurling out a grudging shy, she headed towards the elevator while some files were waiting on the table for her to get back and pick them up.

She stood in front of the elevator for a minute, folding her patient into her lips.

After three minutes,

*....*

Deep silent.

The elevator even assisted in Dae-Hyeon's worthless revenge.

She should make it within one hour if she doesn't want to get hit again. Enduring her abdomen pain and her breast weight because her hormones were producing milk, she stepped on the stairs with bit the pain in her teeth.

Miscarriage 18-month-old baby in her womb led her to all of these physical problems. She had returned from the hospital before even being fully observed by the nurse.

'Ffwhoo..'

Another hopeless breath left her dry lips; her expression got familiar to disgruntled already, and she made her way to the staircase without having any choice.

In two minutes...

She entered the meeting hall, where some interns had been waiting for those papers to arrive so that they could align the presentation.

"Shhhpa!"

She tiredly gushed out a long-held breath as she put down that lengthy mountain of files and paper that had been covered up to her forehead.

That file mountain fell over the tables in a plummeting way.

In no time, she ran back again in a rush. The tablet she had before coming here was assigned the job of cursing her abdomen pain. Even so, her body's jolt in the reflection of running downstairs, stimulated her inner self to provide much more pain.

Being pro at counterbalance, Sun-Hwa's agony was unseen from the outside.

Within half an hour, Sun-Hwa completed her task. Just as she was about to turn towards the exit after submitting the requested files and the private presentation for the CEO, Jang Dae-Hyeon, a female staff member requested, "Can you help me with copying my files? I'm currently busy here."

Everyone behaved like they forgot who Han Sun-Hwa was to the CEO after the divorce news flooded the social media and press in one night. Now they switched to treating her as a slave since they were aware that Sun-Hwa was not useful anymore.

The fact was that Dae-Hyeon proposed the divorce papers voluntarily at first, but the social media published the news in favour of Dae-Hyeon just because he was the lead person in the business world, while Sun-Hwa became broken after selling her company to him.

Sun-Hwa nodded, got the pen drive, and ran downstairs.

At the hospital...

The nurse was shocked and had no idea where Sun-Hwa possibly went. So she rushed to the doctor and informed her about the patient's sudden absence without delay.

"Did you search all over the place?" The doctor quickly unseated herself, unnerved by Sun-Hwa's upcoming reflection on miscarriage.

"She will faint in no time. Is this how you take care of patients?" The doctor shrieked and ran along with her to search all over the hospital.

In the office...

Time passed. Only five minutes to go for a meeting.

The CEO, Dae-Hyeon, entered the meeting hall with his manager, Dong-Han. He sat in the seat, which was the first seat from the entrance, while his manager picked up the file from his chair instead of taking a seat.

Sun-Hwa entered the meeting hall like a lightning strike. She handed the pendrive to the staff and walked away, bowing to the CEO, whose glimpse was about to meet hers.

"One sec, Mr. Sun-Hwa." one of the staff members said as her gaze subtly narrowed down at Sun-Hwa's back while Sun-Hwa had already passed the seating CEO and her hand was about to grab the doorknobs.

Sun-Hwa's glance turned to her, and the manager, Dong-Han, also turned to see Sun-Hwa.

"Your..." the staff's disgustedly wrinkling face towards Sun-Hwa snatched the CEO's attention.

Dae-hyeon narrowed his eyes in doubt and twirled his face to look back at Sun-Hwa. At the halfway point, his phone's vibration pulled his attention. So he chose to pick up his phone instead and put it on his ear.

Witnessing the black smock around her still circulating its posture, Dong-Han lost for breath while Sun-Hwa looked down all the way her feet roamed earlier. She was flustered instantly once she caught sight of those places that had drops of blood stains following her feet and her backside, all soaked with her blood stain. She also spotted some plain wetness on her breast, spreading all over her shirt.

Sun-Hwa was extremely embarrassed at the moment and felt ashamed to make eye contact with the staff, who were sending disgusted stares towards her.

DongHan took off his jacket hurriedly to cover her.

*Thud*

A phone that slipped down on the floor from Dae-Hyeon's hand turned Dong-Han's focus and stopped his action. With pulling a long breath in and an expanded eye, Dae-Hyeon turned to Sun-Hwa with speed, whose feet twirled to the door side again to leave the room.

Dong-Han's glance further encountered a mysterious scene: the black smoke that had surrounded her all the time earlier bombed in light speed instantly after Dae-Hyeon's alarmed eyes met her stained figure and disappeared into thin air.

"Dong-Han. the car, quick!" Dae-Hyeon shouted, took a long, fast step towards Sun-Hwa, and lifted her before she stepped outside.

He carried her in his arms, running as fast as he could as his manager followed those blood stains dripping from her leg while making a call to the bodyguard.

"What are you doing?" Sun-Hwa's jolting voice asked once she had recovered from being struck for breath, but her hands were locked behind his neck for balance. Even though she hates him, she should find a way to maintain balance to survive in his arms.

The elevator opened itself at the correct time when their feet were about to halt.

He rushed in, and the manager also followed them with the same fluster that Dae-Hyeon encountered deep inside, and he pressed the ground floor button quickly.

"Sorry for the mistake. You can extend the contract duration for this mistake." Sun-Hwa faintly informed him, and her view got further dim as she blinked to clear her vision.

As his heartbeat thudded up above his chest, Dae-Hyeon's fixed eyes were eagle-eyed only the elevator F1 button glimmering and rushingly waiting for that beam to switch down to GF.

"Don't blame me for this stain. You are doing it voluntarily." She spilt out a whisper grush before landing her side forehead over his drumming chest as if she were fainting.

"Dae-Hyeon, she fainted." Dong-Han was apprised with a sudden raised shock.

That was the only voice to which he listened, and he looked down at her eyes-closed face, which worsened his heartbeat and owned his entire fearful anguish for the first time in his life.

The elevator opened.

They rushed out as if they might bring her back alive no matter what.
