Chapter 39 - Chapter 39: Birth of The White Lie

Alejandro's POV

"Alejandro, don't leave me tonight," She

pleaded. We were inside her room, she sat at the edge of the bed and I was crouching, our faces opposite to each other and a few inches apart.

"But I-"

"Please stay. Please," Her eyes begged more than her words.

Her hands caressed my face and she brought me closer to her. When our lips touched, I could feel myself melting against her. Then my body was burning hot.

I was kissing her. And she was kissing me. It felt good. It felt right. She grabbed my shirt with both her hands. I pulled away slightly and gazed into her deep brown eyes.

"Camila," She stared deeply into my eyes and I could swear my heart was going to explode. I was staring at her lips and her eyes back and forth.

Her lips were so pink and they tasted sweet. They were moist and tasted like strawberries and chocolate.

Then they suddenly pressed against mine again, my arms carried her, and her legs wrapped around my waist.

Without breaking the moment, I laid her on the bed and crawled on top of her. Our lips kept brushing against each other as she straddled her legs around me. I broke the kiss for a second, only to capture her lips again.

Her body moved against mine with every touch we shared. One of my hands moved down towards her butt and squeezed it gently. They felt so soft like a newborn's cheeks.

My lips left her and began to explore her body with my tongue. I nibbled at her jawline. She moaned softly as I ran my fingers across her breastbone. I then lifted her dress and met with her dark panty and flat stomach that I licked so tenderly

"Alejandro, " She whimpered.

I went back to her neck, leaving small kisses along the way. I found her earlobe with my tongue and sucked on it.

"God, Alejandro," She let out a low moan. My tongue continued to do the magic until Suddenly, she stopped me, pushing me with all her might.

I was caught off guard and almost fell off of the bed, "What's wrong?"

"You!", a frown formed between her eyebrows, "How could you do this to me!"

"What did I do?"

"You lied. You know she's dead but you lied!" She screamed. Tears forming on the edges of her eyes.

"I didn't mean to. I just didn't know what to tell you!" Panic surged through me and I was sure she saw it through my eyes.

"You know what? Don't keep lying to me! Just go. Leave!" she yelled, looking away from me as she was crying harder by the minute. My attempt to get near her only earned me another scream, "Go, just fucking go!"

"Alejandro!" the voice formed echoes inside my head. I finally opened my eyes, my mother being the first person I saw.

"Mother,"

"Are you okay? Were you having a nightmare son?" her hand patted my shoulder as she asked

A flashback of the dream hit me like a tidal wave. From the intense moment, where she told me I betrayed her and then threw me out. Why did it have to end like that?

"I would not call it a nightmare. Don't worry, Mother," I blinked my eyes as my eyes were still sleepy.

"Okay then. Don't you have to go to that mansion today?

"Yes. I will go after breakfast,"

"Alright then," She sighed and hugged me. I returned the hug tightly.

"Be safe there, don't get caught," She pulled me from the hug and looked at me, "Okay?"

I nodded. I was the only son she had. Every time she saw me going to that house, she was not at ease.

I knew it wasn't because she was afraid I would get killed or something, but because she was worried about me getting hurt. I was once in the worst state of emotions thanks to that dreadful fate and Marcus.

I have to go early today. See you later, son, "

"Alright, Mom."

She kissed me on the forehead and then left the room. I got myself up and went straight to the bathroom. After a while, I turned myself into Juan Montenegro. Dark long hair, brown eyes, and short beard.

He was quite attractive.

It didn't take me long to get ready, I wore my usual clothes. White T-shirt, dark jeans and boots. I looked myself in the mirror once more and just... Wow.

Juan Montenegro was one hell of a handsome man. I adored him sometimes even more than Alejandro himself.

Despite all that, part of me was still in huge depth of thought. What was I going to tell her? How would she take it once she found out that her mother was no longer among the living? I was so lost in my mind that I didn't notice someone standing beside me.

"Good morning, boss. How are you this morning?" It was one of my It workers, Derek. He was only 23, tall, slim, and always wore a bandana to his long hair and glasses. He was the youngest yet the fastest and smartest one in his team, might I say.

"I'm good," I cleared my throat, "Any news?" He became more serious at hearing the question. Of course, it was regarding the business matters. He was one of the best researchers when it came to computer technology.

"Well, with the new technology of Artificial intelligence, we could improve the workability of our investments. I also suggest we make an app..."

"Stop it right there," I pointed my finger at him, "Artificial intelligence,"

He looked at me, confused.

"Yes! Artificial intelligence!" I gave out the biggest smile ever, "I need you to do something for me,"

He furrowed before asking, "What is it, sir?"

"Create some photos of this woman," I took my phone, opened the gallery, and showed him the picture.

"Well, that's a piece of cake. Tell me how you want them to be and it will be done before you know it."

"Good,"

For now, let it be that way.

*******************

On a normal day, pruning the flowers, life couldn't get any better or worse. When you see a flower bloom, one could never imagine that such beautiful creatures existed.

That's the reason why I enjoyed taking care of them. Despite belonging to the devil, they were innocent and pure.

However, today wasn't normal. Not even taking care of this beautiful garden was able to push my mind into thinking of someone else.

The sun was almost setting, the flowers were the most beautiful at this moment. I took a look at all the flowers and I stopped at the one rare flower species that brought so many memories.

A deep, velvety chocolate dream, its petals delicate and cozy. As I bent closer, it released a warm, sweet aroma that was like a hug from her.

The chocolate cosmos flower. A flower that used to be her favorite.

"This flower," I turned around at the sound of the old guy, Armando, another gardener I worked with, "It's like a piece of her spirit lives in these petals,"

His cracking voice expressed sadness, "As rare as this flower is, she was the rarest and the most precious creature I ever met,"

"Who?" I asked him, curious. Was he also reminded of the same woman?

"The previous lady of the house. She died three years ago. No one knows what killed her exactly, "

My heart sank. I was fighting so hard to control the tears that were furiously forming themselves inside.

I managed to hold them back. Armando then added,

"She was weak. Day by day, she lost her energy even more. When they went to the hospital, she didn't have anything,"

"What did they say was the cause of her death?" I asked impatiently

"Heart failure,"

I was caught by surprise. And that's because the last time I checked, the cause of her death was hypertension.

"Thank you for telling me, Armando," I said.

I turned around and slowly left the place. My mind was in turmoil. I felt like I couldn't breathe properly. All of a sudden, I felt dizzy and nauseated.

I sat on the bench near the entrance of the garden. With my head in my hands, I tried to calm myself.

After some time the nausea disappeared. But then I felt something wet running down my cheeks. I touched my face and discovered that I cried. And not just tiny tears, but a hell lot of tears.

I covered my nose to contain the sobs. Then I realized: I wasn't alone. She was sitting beside me watching me as I cried,

"Are you okay?" She finally asked.
