Ryan and Stacey spent the close of school together throughout the week as instructed by Ryan's mother but Ryan's heart was so divided as he didn't want Ivy to get a wrong notion hence, he tried to avoid bumping into her whenever he was with Stacey unknown to him that she already saw them together. But luck wasn't on his side either as a voice greeted him from behind when he was about getting into his car with Stacey after school on Friday.
"Hey! Ryan, how've you been lately, I rarely saw you around throughout the week" Ivy greeted him. She was with Jocelyn and Kaitlyn, they were also heading home, Jocelyn pinched Ivy but she wouldn't listen
"Oh! I have been around" Ryan replied startled.
"He's been with me, can't you see for yourself? You can't sway him for long, he belongs to me, bitch" Stacey butt in
"Oh! I see you guys are having a nice time together. See you around Ryan" Ivy replied feeling embarrassed but she tried as much as possible to hide it. Her driver drove in and stopped in front of her. She got into the car with Kaitlyn after exchanging a goodbye hug with Jocelyn whose driver came much sooner.
Ryan's countenance dropped at Ivy's last statement, she must have gotten a wrong impression and he needed to correct that impression as soon as he could. What would he do to achieve this desire of his? he thought as he drove Stacey straight to her house.
"Why are we home? Are we not supposed to be at the park to spend some time together?" Stacey asked, surprised at Ryan's behavior
"I have to get somewhere now" Ryan replied as he got down to open the door for Stacey. "I hope you are not going after that bitch, I won't let you dump me for her, never!" Stacey yelled as she stepped out of the car. "Whatever" Ryan murmured and without a goodbye, he slammed the door of the car and jumped into the driver's seat and off he drove to Ivy's house.
At Ivy's House
"Hey mom, we're back" Ivy and Kaitlyn chorused as they got in and met Mrs Meyers on the couch. "Welcome my babies" Mrs Meyers replied. "You didn't go out?" Kaitlyn asked because it was unusual to meet her mother at home at that time.
"I went out but I needed to rest so I returned early" she replied. "Oh! Okay, I'll be upstairs" Kaitlyn said as she started for the stairs. "Ivy dear, are you okay?" Mrs Meyers asked as she noticed Ivy's cold mood
"I'm fine ma," Ivy replied as she started for the stairs. "And hope you are getting prepared for the competition, you have to emerge the winner, you really have to dear" Mrs Meyers reminded her of the competition. "I am" she replied calmly and went upstairs. The competition was the last thing on her mind, her thoughts were filled with Ryan, the sight of his closeness with Stacey recently sent chills down her spine, will she really be hurt as Stacey had threatened? Stacey had clearly given her a scornful look as she butt into her conversation with Ryan and it is really humiliating, she should have listened to Jocelyn and just walk past but she really wanted to ask Ryan what was going on at least he had told her Stacey was nobody. Her thoughts were soon interrupted by Kaitlyn who barged into her room without knocking as usual.
"Hey! Idiot, what the hell is wrong with you? You have been like this since we left school" Kaitlyn asked. "It's nothing," Ivy answered. "It's really nothing and you have not changed since you got in here, please leave that Ryan boy alone, I heard he is engaged to Stacey and I am sure it is business related so even Ryan can't change that" Kaitlyn explained, "but Ryan said she is nobody when I asked him about her" ivy objected. "What do you expect him to say? The poor boy does not love her and he has feelings for you, he would not hurt you for her, but his hands are tied here, it's his parent's to decide his fate with her and Stacey is obsessed with him already, please take it off your mind and let's go downstairs to grab a snack" Kaitlyn said as she dragged Ivy out of bed, "Idiot! You are brooding about a boy, our celebrity is in love" Kaitlyn teased as Ivy changed into mufti and they both headed downstairs. "Mary, get me cookies and juice" Ivy ordered, "me too" Kaitlyn added. "Okay ma'am and just before the order was brought, there came a knock on the door.
"I'll get it" Ivy said as she started for the door and as she opened the door, her greatest surprise was there, Eston.
"Hey! Clumsy. How are you doing?" Eston greeted her.
"Eston! What are you doing here? You didn't tell me you were visiting and how did you find my house?" Ivy asked. "Too many questions clumsy, clumsy as ever, let me in at least" Eston replied. "Oh! My bad, come in and make yourself comfortable" She offered. "I sure will make myself comfortable even if you don't ask me to" Eston said as he entered and sank into the couch, "Hey! Kaitlyn, how are you?" He greeted Kaitlyn as soon as he saw her.
"Look who we have here, the almighty Eston, ever rude, do you even ever greet? I'm shocked" Kaitlyn teased as she already had a crush on him but he was always snubbing her anytime they met.
"He's a jerk you know," Ivy complemented Kaitlyn's speech.
"Clumsy! I'm not a jerk and you Kaitlyn, it's not nice to be harsh with your words to a friend" Eston retorted
"A friend? Indeed" Kaitlyn said as she sipped on her juice, their order had been served by now "Please get him a glass of juice too" Kaitlyn ordered Mary, "yes ma'am" Mary replied and in no time she was back to the sitting room. The chatted for a little while and Ivy felt relieved of her thoughts of Ryan, Eston was just in time and there came another knock on the door, this time Mary got the door and since she had seen Ryan once, she let him in.
"Ryan!" Ivy was surprised at the sight of Ryan. What was he doing at her house? She is now faced with the two boys she had feelings for, how would she put herself together?It's fine since Ryan already chise Stacey. "What's up dude? You come here too?" Ryan asked Eston. "No, it's my first time" Eston replied. Ryan felt warmth throughout his body, has Ivy shifted to Eston because of what happened earlier in school? He must clear the misunderstanding. "I need to see you, Ivy" Ryan pleaded with Ivy to give him audience. "That won't be here, we'll discuss whatever it is in school on Monday, but here is a NO NO, my aunt is around and I have no intention of getting into her trouble" Ivy explained. "So you know, you guys should just start going now because Ivy must not be seen wasting her precious time, she has to prepare for her competition" Kaitlyn added.
"Okay then, I guess it's time to leave, thanks for the hospitality" Eston said as he made out for the door. "The jerk sayd thank you again" Ivy teased, "see you in school" she added as she waved at him. Ryan reluctantly left without saying goodbye, he felt his world crumbling right before him, he hoped she would understand him when he explains himself and hopefully prayed that things would not fall apart.
