At Ivy's House
"Ivy, you have to tell me what the problem is, you have been worried and spacing out since Tuesday and it even got worse on Thursday and you know it's not fair to not check up on Eston at the hospital too" Kaitlyn complained as she went up the stairs with Ivy after breakfast on Saturday morning.
Ivy had been moody since Tuesday, she didn't know how to face Eston. Something in her told her that the rejection she gave Eaton caused his illness, she partly felt responsible for it and she had mixed feeling. At the same time Ryan had been absent from school since Thursday and she had tried his number, it had not been responding. Hope he is not chilling with Stacey under the influence of his family? Because Stacey was not in school on Friday too.
"Ivy!!!" Kaitlyn butt into her thoughts
"What is it? Why are you shouting my name like I am dead?" Ivy snapped at her. Now they were in Ivy's room. Kaitlyn followed her closely that she wasn't able to shut her out
"You didn't answer my question" Kaitlyn asked again
"What question is that?" Ivy asked since she was lost in thought when Kaitlyn asked earlier
"I said you must tell me what is wrong with you and that it's not fair that you didn't check up on Eston" Kaitlyn recapped
"Oh! That?" Ivy sighed, not knowing where to start but she couldn't hide things for so long from Kaitlyn, they never hid anything from each other. "I don't even know how to start" she finally said after a long pause
"Come on babes, talk to me, you know you can tell me anything" Kaitlyn urged her to forge on
"The thing is that I don't know how to face Eston, I told him I like Ryan and I have..." she trailed off, "it's so complicated Kaitlyn
"I'll understand, just say it somehow" Kaitlyn encouraged her
"Okay, let me say it like this, Eston kissed me at Ryan's party after I had refused Ryan a kiss, don't ask me when because you hadn't arrived then. I went to the party with Jocelyn, but you know I had crush on Ryan first. I even had a bad experience on my first contact with Eston so I didn't like him at first but I don't know how I started developing feelings for him and I still like Ryan too" she paused for a while and continued. "But Ryan confessed his feelings on Monday and I accepted him, he even kissed me" she paused trying to observe Kaitlyn's reaction and before she continued Kaitlyn asked
"But, he is engaged to Stacey, why would you accept such? Do you want war?" Kaitlyn screamed
"I know but the engagement is not based on love, he doesn't love her" Ivy argued
"Who cares about love in this circle? Once the parents are involved, there is close to nothing anyone can do" Kaitlyn emphasized
"I know, but we can fight for love at least we can bring about change" Ivy explained
"I hope so. So I guess you are moody since the love of your life was absent in school for two days" Kaitlyn teased
"Stop it! Idiot, not only that, I feel bad for Eston but I can't face him" Ivy replied
"Is there anything to feel bad about? A kiss can happen between anyone, no strings attached, and you said you wanted to fight for love moments ago" Kaitlyn asked confused
"Yes, but I told you I developed feelings for Eston and we have spent sometimes together that I cherish and I felt I had led him on so since I told him I like Ryan he fell sick almost immediately, I feel partly responsible" Ivy explained
"Oh! I now understand the triangle, it definitely means he loves you dearly, I won't use the word 'like' since only love can cause illness, it's fine, he'll get over it, in as much as you are happy with Ryan, it's all good" Kaitlyn replied
"I hope so" Ivy said squeezing her mouth
"So, what about Ryan? Did you hear from him? He might not be well too" Kaitlyn asked
"I couldn't reach him on phone and I seriously pray he is fine" Ivy replied, really worried
"He is definitely fine, something might have come up with him" Kaitlyn urged her to be calm. Let's go to swim
"Nobody is going to swim" Mrs Meyers said as she opened the door to Ivy's room
"Hey mom! Have you been eavesdropping?" Kaitlyn asked with a warning look
"No, no, I just got here and I heard something about swimming" Mrs Meyers replied
"Oh! That's better, but I want to swim" Kaitlyn grumbled
"You can go swim but Ivy here has to rehearse for her competition, it's in 3 weeks time you know" Mrs Meyers explained
"Oh! Okay, we have a competition, I almost forgot" Kaitlyn said working her fingers through her hair
"You did what? I asked you to make sure Ivy rehearses and you are here saying you forgot, blocked head" Mrs Meyers said turning to Ivy, "I hope you did not forget" she asked
"No aunt, I didn't forget, how could I forget my purpose here, I need to rest my head for a while before rehearsal, could you please send someone to call me in an hours time?" Ivy pleaded as she laid on her bed
"Sure, just be fine" Mrs Meyers said, "leave her to rest" she added as she dragged Kaitlyn out of the room. "I hope Ivy is fine, her mood lately is worth brooding over" she asked Kaitlyn as they stepped out of Ivy's room
"Mom, she is fine. It's normal to be like that sometimes," Kaitlyn said running ahead of her mom and soon she disappeared out of her mother's sight.
At Ryan's House
"What's up dude?" Adrian tapped Ryan on the shoulder as he jumped on Ryan's bed
"You are always insensitive, fool" Liam said to Adrian as he sank into the cushion in Ryan's room.
Adrian and Liam had come to visit Ryan since he wasn't in school for two consecutive days. They had called his lines with no response and had decided to come see him
"Mommy's boy, what's up with you?" Liam teased knowing well that Ryan hated to be called that
"Don't call me that," Ryan warned jokingly, "I have been grounded for a week, I'll be out by Thursday" Ryan explained
"Tell me more bro, did mommy's boy get in a fight with mommy again?" Adrian asked, sitting up since the topic sounded interesting. He was the only free one amongst them, he doesn't have any mother to check his movements and his dad too doesn't care. He is as free as a bird so his friends' situations amuse him always
"Good guess, she found out about myself and Ivy" Ryan explained
"You and Ivy? Is there anything about you two? What about Stacey?" Liam calmly asked
"You know what I share with Stacey is nothing compared to what I feel for Ivy, I started out with Ivy on Monday and I don't know how Stacey's minions got to see me where I kissed Ivy so they reported to Stacey and she did report to my mom as usual" Ryan explained
"Oh! I see, the witch is at it again. But you should have denied when she asked" Adrian said
"There is no point hiding it, I like Ivy and I can't hold it in anymore," Ryan replied
"Okay, but I think Eston likes Ivy too, didn't guys you notice it?" Adrian asked Liam and Ryan
"Yeah, it is obvious but I guess he's lost to this our faster dude here" Liam said, laughing
"I noticed Eston's moves but since he can't muster up the courage to talk to her, so be it and I like her too and can't let go" Ryan said, bluntly
"In my own opinion, you shouldn't have butt in their affair, you have Stacey to build a home with and your parents would not allow you be with Ivy, you should just let Eston have her and don't hurt her" Adrian snapped
"Who says I am going to hurt her? I am not hurting her, I would be with her and I'm leaving Stacey!!! Ryan yelled at Adrian
"Dude, it's not up to that, calm down, it's his opinion. Anyways, I think I am liking Jocelyn" Liam confessed after calming Ryan down
"Jackpot! Since it's confession time, I like Kaitlyn too" Adrian said with a big grin
"You!" Liam and Ryan chorused and both bursted into laughter. Adrian had never been serious with girls, he had only looked for pu$$y to f$ck.
"What's funny?, Can I not like someone?" Adrian felt really embarrassed
"Everyone knows you can't like any girl, please let's change this topic because I have no strength to laugh" Liam said still laughing
"You never can tell, he might be serious this time" Ryan said jokingly
"You guys are very annoying" Adrian said and left the room feeling really bad and embarrassed. Ryan and Liam couldn't hold it in anymore, they bursted into an uncontrollable laughter as soon as Adrian left.
