Chapter 16 - Wishes

"Whoa.... This school is amazing " Kaitlyn said for the seventh time since Jocelyn nd I offered to give her a tour round the school, I can only rolled my eyes cause I don't wanna start another argument with her. 

"I can't believe a school like this exist" Kaitlyn said. Now she's been overly dramatic. I scoffed. 

"If I know, I wouldn't have spent the last seventeen years going from Canada to New Zealand " she continued as we head towards the school cafeteria, we have come to the end of our tour. 

"Well, believe it baby, " I said wrapping my arms around her neck. 

"Really? You haven't been to America before? " Jocelyn asked, coming in between us. 

"Yeah, Miss Crazy here is actually a Canadian, her dad is from Canada while her mum whom is my aunt is an American " I replied Jocelyn. 

"I've been in America before but I was one year old then, mum told me she brought me here after dad's death, she mourned him here for a year before sending me back to grandma, my dad's mum in Canada, I stayed with grandma for five years before going to New Zealand to stay with my mum's little sister who is Ivy's mum, there I met Ivy and her cute and naughty baby brother, Skyler. Ivy and I became best friends since then until grandma fell ill last two years and I went back to Canada and stayed there until now " Kaitlyn concluded her life story which was kinda boring. I yawned. 

"Am so hungry and you are a talkative Kaitlyn " I told her and walked into the cafeteria, I heard Jocelyn chuckled and Kaitlyn scoffed. 

Thank God the students aren't screaming my name as before, I think they are getting used to me being here and I like it this way. No more signing of autographs. 

Jocelyn pointed at an empty table and we all went to sit there. The school waitress came to take our orders and we ordered some Hamburgers, lobster rolls and some fried chicken. The lady wrote down our orders and walked away. 

"Seems like we are all hungry for the same food, huh? " Jocelyn said, smiling. 

"Yeah seems like it" Kaitlyn replied to her while I just nodded. My eyes roamed around looking for someone, I can't tell who though. The waitress came back with our orders, she arranged it on the table and whispered a low "enjoy" before walking away. 

"So Ivy, Kaitlyn told me about her parents, what about yours? I had love to know" Jocelyn said before biting on her hamburger. 

"Me? Am a celebrity, you can go read my bio" I shrugged. 

"They didn't say much about you, seems like you are secretive, besides I'd love to hear it from you than read that" Jocelyn said. 

"Well, I don't think I am ready to tell yet,,,, uhmmm, why don't you tell us yours" I said shifting the question back to her. Kaitlyn gave me a knowing look nd smiled. 

"Ohk.... " Jocelyn said, looking at us weirdly. 

"My dad is a business man but he's not too busy to spend time with us. My mum is a fashionista, she owns JJ beauty store, not much to tell but mum's strict. I would say I am much closer to my dad than my mum. Recently dad's in New York, his company over there has some issues so he went over to sort it out, he'll be back this weekend, I can't wait" Jocelyn paused to drink some water. Lucky her. Seeing her smile while talking about her dad makes me envy her. 

"Cool, so any siblings or are you the only child? " Kaitlyn asked, obviously, she loves gists and stories. I ignored then and concentrated on the cafeteria entrance, where are the REALs? Are they in their private lounge? Aren't they coming? I asked within me. 

"Yeah, I have siblings, two elder brothers, they are twins though, very troublesome boys" Jocelyn said laughing, I laughed too remembering my little brother Skyler. 

"I wish I had siblings too, " Kaitlyn said, smiling sadly. 

"Come on, Skyler is also your brother, you guys are like cat and rat" I said to cheer her up, I laughed and Kaitlyn scoffed. 

"That brat" she said and stabbed her chicken with a fork playfully. Jocelyn stared at us like we had grown two heads before scoffing. 

"Weirdos" she muttered. 

"Uhmm, Ivy, I noticed you looking around when we got here, I should have asked but you know me, I love gist. So who were you looking for? " Kaitlyn asked. 

"Probably her crush" Jocelyn replied nd blushed. 

"Now she's blushing again, who's this crush anyway? " Kaitlyn half yelled, nd as on cue the REALs entered the cafeteria. 

"Speaking of the devils" Jocelyn said smiling nd I bet I saw Liam winked at her. I'll ask about that later. My eyes moved to Ryan, our eyes meet but he looked away. 

*is he avoiding me? Is he still angry about the party? Ahhh now am worried*

"Wow, so Ryan is your crush, he's cute " she said almost too loud, I glared at her. I guess Jocelyn already told her about them while I was distracted. 

"Liam is Jocelyn's crush, that leaves blonde hair nd Casanova " Kaitlyn said referring to Eston nd Adrian, she bend her head a little doing some thinking. Crazy. 

"Ah hah" Kaitlyn clapped her hands lightly. 

"I'll go for Eston, he's way more handsome than the rest, nd he's hot nd sexy... Awwwn I want him" she said dreamily. Jocelyn giggled nd I scoffed. 

"Get your eyes off him, he's taken" I said chewing on some lobsters. 

"What do you mean he's taken? By who? " Kaitlyn asked. 

"I,,,, I don't know " I stuttered looking elsewhere. Jocelyn gave me a weird look but I ignored her. Kaitlyn scoffed. 

"I don't care but I'll make him mine" 

*mine* the word replayed in my head, nd it weirdly annoys me. 

The bell rang signifying the end of lunch. 

"Thank God" I muttered under my breathe nd stood up. 

"Today's lunch break is kinda long" Jocelyn said as we all to our next class. 

....4pm.... 

"Ahhh, that geometry is so hard, I don't even know a thing there" Kaitlyn cried, am sure she wasn't listening in class. 

"Seriously? That's your problem? " I asked, packing my books into my backpack. 

"Yeah, of course it's a problem, I mean, how do I solve a triangle in a circle? " she groaned frustrated, Jocelyn nd I burst into laughter. 

"It's simple, you just have to apply the formulas" Jocelyn said nd we all walked down the hall, towards the school garage. 

"So am not smart? " Kaitlyn argued, that's so her. 

"I didn't say so" Jocelyn defend. 

"Relax Kaitlyn, I'll explain the topic when we get home, now my problem is how to write a f$cking composition, I haven't composed a song yet" I said annoyed. Jocelyn nd Kaitlyn burst into laugher. 

"What? " I pouted. 

"Now who's the nut head " Kaitlyn said still laughing. 

"Shut up, at least am better than you who doesn't understand geometry of all things" I said nd that shut her up. 

"F$ck you" she said poking my waist nd I ran forward with her chasing me. 

We got to the school garage, our drivers already waiting for us. 

"Uhmm, Jocelyn can you help me with my composition? Am too busy to compose anything now" I pleaded. 

"Yeah sure.... Bye" she said nd walked into her car, waving at us as her driver drove away. 

Kaitlyn got into the car nd I almost joined her but stopped when I saw Ryan nd Stacey getting into a car with smiles on their faces. 

It doesn't mean anything right? Or are they really couples? Is that why he's ignoring me? 

No, jumping into conclusion isn't good now. I'll ask him tomorrow, I stood there watching as their car drove off. 

"Hey witch, get in now" Kaitlyn yelled from inside the car, I stuck my tongue at her before getting in nd the driver drove off. 

"What we're you doing standing out there? " She asked. 

"Nothing " I said, wearing my headphone properly nd listening to MY UNIVERSE by BTS nd Coldplay. 

..... ****..... 

"We are home" Kaitlyn yelled immediately we entered the house. Typical Kaitlyn. 

"Oh my babies, welcome" Aunt said coming out of the kitchen to hug us. 

"How was school today? " she asked amidst the hug. 

"It was fun, mum I love that school" Kaitlyn said. 

"Really? That's good, very good " Aunt said happily. 

"Aunt, what are you cooking? Cause the aroma is heaven" I asked sniffing nd inhaling the air. 

"Oh, am making some Chinese chicken salad nd apple pie" she said going back to the kitchen. 

"Hmmmm sounds delicious, can't wait to taste it" Kaitlyn squealed excitedly nd I chuckled. Even the maids around were laughing. Foodie.

"That will be after we go bathe, come on foodie, let's go have some refreshing bath" I said dragging her upstairs. 

"Girls, be down in 5mins, OK? " Aunt yelled from the kitchen. 

"Yes mum" Kaitlyn nd I yelled back at once nd burst into laughter. With Kaitlyn here, my four months won't be boring.
