Books and files were scattered all along the room. Tyrell poured over every bit of information he could at the police station in town. Police officers were running back and forth in a chaotic frenzy trying to figure out exactly what happened at the warehouse right outside of the city limits. Adrenaline was in full gear for every single person in the station.
" I can't find anything useful" sighed officer Kyle Conroy.
" These scum bags can't be total ghosts. They didn't give a shit at all. " Tyrell shouted before realizing it. They were all understandably on edge. Furiously he grabbed a pen and some paper and roughed out a sketch of them.
" Not much to go on besides the similar gear and the fact they were unkillable which is just insane" Kyle responded as he looked over the sketch. " That symbol might be helpful, but I haven't seen it before".
Tyrell circled the symbol of the dragon with claw marks . He had great awareness and always seemed to notice any type of details. Always a bonus with his line of work and really what mattered. Symbols like that meant something and someone somewhere would know something about it.
" Get this copied and to different stations in the area. Maybe someone has seen it. " He said really hoping for the only shot they had " These lowlifes are dangerous and need to be brought in now"!
" You saw what happened too , man. They weren't going down . I don't know what kind of armor takes that many hits without at least being able to tag one. Must be something new" Kyle anxiously stated. " What do we do against that" looking at Tyrell waiting for any answers at all.
Tyrell just shrugged at that. He didn't know besides some serious assault weapons they didn't have access to. " Probably have to get higher ordinance for this one".
The door opened and Stephanie poked her head in. " I got something for you guys" she managed somewhat of a smile in this dark time. " Just got off the phone with a friend that mentioned about similar incidents with a gang like them".
Tyrell pushed papers and books from a chair. " Glad someone could find something. We definitely need some kind of win here".
Stephanie sat down with the two officers in a slump. " It's not the best , but it's something" she went on now unable to hold back some tears. She had been able to hold everything until now. Tyrell hugged her as best as he could to console her. They all lost a lot of friends earlier on what seemed to be a routine investigation. Of course it wasn't , no massacre could ever be considered routine. Not just the initial one , but now one that also included them all.
" I'm sorry. I just can't believe what happened" Stephanie sobbed. Kyle also had tears streaming down his face and over his thin moustache. " But I was told a few different places and high end people had been hit and assassinated through the years. The M.O. was the same. Sleak black clad sporty biker gang with an odd dragon decal on the helmets. Quick , ruthless, and efficient. Never been caught . Not even a single one of them".
Tyrell scowled at that and slumped down himself." So they are all basically ghosts. They will be when we can get a hold of them. They won't be wearing armor all the time" he said going off in his own rant.
" No one is perfect especially criminals . Everyone always makes some kind of mistakes" Kyle piped in. " Just need to figure this out and we will get them".
Tyrell felt nauseous in all the chaos. Even with something to go on they still didn't have anything. Murderous assassin bikers , just what they needed. He thought to himself why they went back to the scene of the crime. Everyone there was definitely dead and the police didn't find anything of note that was left behind. " Why did they go back" he questioned to himself out loud.
" I don't know." Stephanie answered back. " That is really strange. They didn't want us to find something maybe. Or they were looking for something".
Right at that moment they all heard the sound of motorcycles outside in the distance. Stephanie's eyes went wide and she jumped up . Tyrell grabbed her arm and escorted her to a room nearby . He lightly pushed her under a desk and covered it up with a makeshift hiding spot.
" You stay here " he whispered to her as he pulled out his firearm. The station was buzzing with all kinds of sounds of the officers swarming now with weapons.
One officer screamed as the front door was kicked in and he was imbedded with glass. Kyle came around the corner towards the main room and opened fire on the black clad biker walking into the station. Kyles eyes opened wider than they ever had in his life even more than when his wife gave birth to a surprising set of twins. The biker just stood there and a blade flying at Kyle's face was the last thing he ever saw again.
Two more leather clad monsters stepped in behind the first one. Bullets pressed into them and whizzed around the building in cacophony of loud explosions. Swords slashed out quicky this way and that severing the officers inside from the mortal coil. Blood sprayed along the walls as the dragon assassins did what they were best at in an almost dance of death. Tyrell prayed for the first time in what felt like forever. The nauseous feeling got even stronger as boot steps were heard walking down the corridor. Stephanie was heard lightly sobbing and starting to hyperventilate.
Tyrell shot out of the side room and fired as he swore under his breath. He definitely wasn't prepared for what would happen next. Instead of a bullet being fired out of the gun it was a blinding purple colored light that hit the first biker dead on. A giant hole could be seen where the murderer's chest was and a loud clang on the floor as the biker now fell dead. The other two bolted as fast as they could for the front door.
Tyrell followed and took another shot , but the second one only blasted on the bikers hands off. At the doorway in the gore Tyrell watched as they shifted into creatures . " What the hell! This ain't real" he muttered as the newly formed dragons flew away quickly.
