Red and blue lights flashed off in the distance of a random car chase. The warehouse would be desolate if not for the officers and detectives searching the premise for any clues on the massacre that happened earlier that week. Detective Tyrell Jones had never seen such a macabre scene in his entire career. Most of the officers even had dry heaves at the very least.
" Some kind of gang or mob war I'd wager" an officer said as he picked through the carnage that hadn't been cleaned over yet.
" Some guess , but I don't know . This seems more like revenge mass murder . " Tyrell stated as he jotted a few things down in a little notebook he carried." Definitely some form of shady group involved though on the dead end of things".
Tyrell was a tall man clearing six feet easy. A goatee adorned his face and he had a shaved head and multiple scars. First part of military special forces and even moonlighting as a mercenary for some years in harsh South American jungles where he made some serious money. He wasn't proud of many things he had done , but he felt he had redeemed himself enough. Finally settling in as a body guard and detective to do some good somewhere.
" Hopefully we can figure out whoever did this because they are extremely dangerous and shouldn't be running around" officer Jason Neal stated. Tyrell simply nodded and moved on through the building searching for anything even more out of the ordinary.
Investigators filled the entirety of the building as much as they could. Most rooms they glossed over once nothing of note was found and kept to the main hallways and rooms littered with corpses. Tyrell noticed one investigator taking pictures of the floor in a specific spot and walked over to her. " Find anything actually useful" he asked stepping up and glaring at the floor.
Stephanie Klein and Tyrell had worked closely before . " Just an interesting symbol I think ." She said while still snapping some pictures of it from all angles . " Think it might be some kind of cult thing".
Tyrell knelt down and began writing the symbol in his notebook . " Could be right. Not one I have ever seen yet. Damn well better not be no Manson cultist freaks . Guys like Charlie could get anyone to do whatever they want and that wigs me out the most."
" I'm with you on that one. But what's worse these guys or the dead ones. Maybe the dead guys wrote the symbol before they were slaughtered." Stephanie looked at him now with a disgusted expression on her face from everything. This was the biggest murder case she had worked on so far. She hoped it would be the last like this , but figured there was bound to be more and this was only the beginning.
Outside seven motorcycles pulled up of the sporty kind. Definitely preferred for the speed and maneuvering over looks by the individuals riding them. All in black leather jackets and helmets decalled with a silver Chinese dragon emblem with three red claw marks running through them. A couple of officers stationed outside waved them away and pointed at the crime scene tapestry all around. The seven strangers all got off their cycles simultaneously and began walking towards the building.
" Stop where you are and freeze. " Screamed one of the officers loudly as he pulled out a gun. " This is a crime scene and you are suspicious as hell". The lead man on the mask just laughed and with a quickness not seen even by any Olympic athlete he produced a sword from his back and chopped the officers head clean off.
" What the Fu" came from another officers mouth as a small crossbow bolt from a different leather clad invader shot into his throat.
Shots were fired off by different associates of the dead heroes in blue that came out from the building. Tyrell heard all the commotion of course and made his way towards the front of the building. Bullet after bullet ripped into the seven leather clad killers , but they kept coming at speeds that were never seen by people. Tyrell watched from a distance as his mates kept dying to this seemingly unkillable threat. Must be some serious body armor he figured, but he was smart enough to know not to stick around. Instead of going after them he ran along down the hallway and scooped Stephanie up.
" Go Go Go. Everyone get the hell out we can't do anything except die dealing with them. " Tyrell said to anyone in the building that would listen. He got who he could to go with him finding an exit down the maze of hallways. He had made sure to make note of every exit he could luckily for everyone else there.
The remaining officers and detectives didn't want to let these mass murdering psychos go , but they needed more help. Escaping with all of their lives was more important right now. Tyrell had seen some serious scum in his life , but this group of seven took the cake. Worse of all was they could easily be the offenders of the murder spree that happened there before.Stephanie was hysterical in the seat next to him. He imagined all the others would be as well.
The seven blood soaked marauders cleaned out the rest of the humans that remained in the building. Moving through the hallways and taking their own investigation. The leader stopped in his tracks down one particular hallway. He removed his helmet and stared at the ground seething with anger. Mr Black was not at all excited by the sigil he spotted in blood. It was distorted enough he couldn't make out the specifics, but it was definitely draconic in origin.
".We have traitors in our ranks" he stated coldly. " The queen must be informed straight away". Three of the seven simply turned and walked away back towards their cycles. The other four stayed back and continued the investigation until they were satisfied they had found everything they possibly could.
