Chapter 20 - Morgana

Observing the woman's attempts at friendliness, Oliver swiftly discerned that she wasn't someone to be trifled with. The expressions on the faces of both prisoners and guards who bore witness to the unfolding events confirmed this fact.

As Morgana took a bite of bread from his plate, Oliver found himself strangely amused by her audacity and the air of danger. Despite the grim setting, her actions conveyed a sense of camaraderie that he hadn't expected. He realized that forming connections, even in such a harsh environment, might be essential for his survival.

And Oliver was once again surprised by the allure Morgana exuded, her every movement commanding attention. The flicker of candlelight across her features revealed a beauty that transcended the dismal surroundings, and her confidence added an undeniable magnetism to her presence.

She had a little dark skin, which wasn't common for the people of Behemothia, so it was rather easy for Oliver to guess that she was an immigrant. With her lecherous ass and curvy body, she looked like equally beautiful to Gwendolyn, who was the most gorgeous person Oliver saw in this prison.

With a cautious smile, Oliver wiped his hands on a piece of cloth before extending it for a handshake. "I'm Oliver. And no, I didn't kill a noble. My situation's a bit more complicated than that."

Morgana shook his hand firmly, her gaze penetrating as if trying to gauge his honesty. "Complicated, huh? Well, that's a start. We're all here for different reasons, and if you want to survive in this place, you'll need allies. We've been watching you for a while, and you seem different from the usual lot."

Oliver's curiosity was piqued. "Watching me? Why?"

Morgana leaned in slightly, her voice lowered. "You angered that stuck-up warden bitch, didn't you? It was quite funny to see her plotting against a man, and-"

With a sudden, swift motion, she struck the plate, sending it flying from Oliver's grip. Simultaneously, her actions propelled him to the ground, executed without a hint of hesitation. As soon as Oliver fell on the floor, knowing that this woman is anything but friendly, she suddenly started to grind her pussy against his crotch area and sat on him like she was trying to intimidate him.

"Aren't you a brave little man? If I did this to someone else, they would start crying," Morgana said, as she found Oliver's behaviour interesting.

"You better give me some proper food for all the things you ate from my plate," Oliver said without showing any concern about her forceful acts, which brought a laugh to Morgana's face.

"Haha~ you're quite a funny man, I like it," She said and touched his face and squeezed his cheeks. "Fine, I will feed you if you become my pet, you bark when you want food and you bark whenever I give you an order, what do you say?"

"No thank you! I don't have any fetish like that, besides, you should be careful," Oliver's words were followed by a surprising action as he bit her hand. Unexpectedly, her expression transformed into one of arousal, leaving Oliver puzzled. He couldn't ignore the sense that this woman was far from ordinary.

"Just like that, my little pooch! I will pet you later, but you should be punished now, you shouldn't bite your owner like this," Out of nowhere, Morgana's demeanour shifted drastically. With a tight grip on Oliver's hair, she unleashed a flurry of punches upon his face, her actions devoid of any trace of mercy. A wild, almost manic expression contorted her features, casting an aura of unease upon both guards and prisoners nearby.

Despite their shared desire to intervene and aid Oliver, a sense of powerlessness pervaded the onlookers, rendering them unable to take action. Although most of them just wanted to help him, so they could slide into his pants.

"You... shouldn't... bite your own master's hand, you got it?" Releasing her last punch, Morgana just sighed as her behaviour suddenly changed from an angry mad woman to a calm and caring one, as she stood up and gave Oliver a hand.

"Mad bitch!" Observing her amidst the flowing of blood from his own nose, Oliver couldn't help but recognize that she was anything but ordinary. The force behind her punches was far from normal, and he understood that he needed to witness her resonance. Her remarkable physical strength hinted at a potentially potent resonance, even without noble blood flowing through her veins.

Morgana's face lit up with a smile as his words reached her ears. However, her joy quickly turned into sudden alarm, causing her to leap backwards as if anticipating an impending threat. Her instincts proved sharp as a plate unexpectedly veered towards her from an unexpected angle. Murmurs rippled through the gathered crowd, growing hushed as their attention shifted to the source of the projectile.

"You sure know how to make me angry don't you?" The voice belonged to none other than Gwendolyn Ashenfall, who was standing in front of Morgana with her people beside her. It looked like two gangs were getting ready to fight each other, as Morgana's people also showed that they were ready to battle anytime.

"Bitch! How dare you throw a plate? It was a completely fine plate, you broke it," Morgana said, as she funnily looked at Gwendolyn.

"I warned you to stay away from him because he is from my faction, but it looks like I have to bash your thick skull in a wall so you understand my words clearly," Gwendolyn's eyes narrowed as she clenched her fists, her anger palpable in the air.

Morgana's lips curled into a sneer, her confidence unwavering. "You always did have a way with words, Gwendolyn. But words won't save you now. Do you think you can waltz in here with your band of misfits and claim superiority? My people won't back down, not to the likes of you."

Gwendolyn's companions exchanged glances, their loyalty to her evident in their stance. "You underestimate us, it looks like you want to get beaten up way before the tournaments start,"

The atmosphere got heated as the two factions looked like they were about to fight and Oliver was beyond elated to see the result as he knew he might be able to see their resonances, if they fight right now.

The tension in the room escalated with every word exchanged between Morgana and Gwendolyn. As their confrontation seemed to be reaching a boiling point, the air grew thick with anticipation. Gwendolyn's companions shifted their stances, muscles tensed, ready to step in if needed. Morgana's supporters too braced themselves, a mix of defiance and wariness in their eyes.

Fists were clenched, and the atmosphere was charged with impending conflict when suddenly, the grand doors at the far end of the hall burst open. In strode Captain Serena, flanked by a formation of guards, each wielding weapons resonating with a faint, pulsating energy. Their presence was commanding, and the resonance weapons aimed at the combatants seemed to hum with power.

"Enough!" Captain Serena's voice cut through the charged air like a blade. Her eyes held a steely determination, and her aura commanded authority. "This is not the place for such disputes. Lower your fists and step away from each other."

Morgana and Gwendolyn glared at each other for a moment longer, their fierce expressions refusing to waver. But the sight of the resonant weapons, held by capable guards, forced them to reconsider. Slowly, begrudgingly, they both stepped back, their tension palpable in the way their shoulders remained tense and their breaths came in shallow, angry puffs.

"I won't hesitate to take action if this escalates any further," Captain Serena declared, her gaze shifting between the two factions. "We have enough problems to deal with without internal conflicts tearing us apart, so go back both of you."

With a lingering glare at each other, Morgana's group and Gwendolyn's companions reluctantly dispersed, their seething resentment evident in their expressions. Captain Serena's guards maintained their positions, watching both parties closely to ensure they complied.

As the tension gradually receded, Captain Serena's attention shifted to Oliver, who had been observing the entire exchange with an intrigued expression. Her lips curved into a smug smile, an unmistakable mocking glint in her eyes as if she were saying, "Enjoying the show, were you?"

Oliver shifted uncomfortably under her gaze, feeling she was waiting for things to get escalated this much and he knew she would do anything to take her revenge.

"All of you make sure nothing like this happens again," Serena ordered her guards and looked at Oliver, while asking others to leave her alone with Oliver.

"Oliver, you seem quite amused-" She was trying her best to hide her laughter seeing the beaten-up face of Oliver. "You look even more handsome with your face like this, if you kneel and ask for forgiveness, I might even consider taking you back to my quarters,"

Oliver looked at her while wiping the blood that kept coming from his nose. "No thank you! I enjoy the company of these girls here, I'd rather not see your face every day,"

It was a single sentence, but it had so much effect on Serena, that her smile suddenly disappeared revealing a glimpse of hurt and anger in her eyes.

"Is that so? We will see, you will be begging this ugly face to keep you in the near future and when that happens I will kick you in the balls and throw you back into this hell hole," Serena said and left the room with an angered look, while Issac suddenly came and dragged Oliver back to the cell, as he wanted to talk with him.
