Chapter 23 - Yandere sister

Isabella's gaze was fixed upon the tumultuous scene outside the grand palace window. The once unshakable empire now appeared to tremble under the weight of panic and uncertainty, like a fragile vase teetering on the edge of a precipice. She sighed softly, her thoughts a whirlwind of concern as she contemplated the repercussions of the first princess's mysterious disappearance.

As her contemplative gaze shifted from the chaotic streets to the wounded girl seated before her, Isabella's heart twisted with a mix of empathy and frustration. The girl's face was etched with pain, and a cruel burn marred the otherwise delicate curve of her arm. Isabella's voice, tinged with a hint of exasperation, broke the heavy silence that hung in the room.

"Why, of all people, must you return from a seemingly simple mission in such a state?" Isabella inquired her tone a blend of concern and irritation. "You were supposed to eliminate my wretched sister without causing a disaster. And yet, here we are, with an injured crew and an escaped target!"

The injured girl lowered her gaze, her voice trembling as she responded. "It was... it was the explosion, Lady Isabella. The first princess and your sister... they managed to slip away amidst the chaos it caused. We never anticipated such a turn of events."

Isabella's fingers curled into a tight fist, her frustration threatening to consume her. She slammed her hand down on the intricately carved table, a sharp sound cutting through the tension. "Do you comprehend the gravity of this situation? The empress is on the brink of collapse and she is searching the whole empire like a mad woman, and if they find the slightest clue linking us to this failed attempt, we will be hunted down like rats."

A shiver ran down the wounded girl's spine as she met Isabella's intense gaze. Her voice trembled as she replied, "I understand, Lady Isabella. We are at a crossroads, but give me another chance, I will hunt down your sister and first princess, I won't let them escape this-"

Isabella's patience had reached its limit. With a swift, fluid motion, she drew her gleaming sword from its ornate sheath before the girl could finish talking. The blade caught the dim light of the room, casting a dangerous glint across the wounded girl's face. Isabella's eyes blazed with a steely resolve as she pressed the sword's edge against the girl's delicate neck.

"Enough," Isabella hissed, her voice dripping with a lethal combination of anger and authority. "One more word from your lips, and I will not hesitate to end your pitiful existence right here and now."

The injured girl's breath caught in her throat, her eyes widening in fear as the cold steel pressed against her skin. She swallowed hard, her voice barely a whisper. "I... I won't say another word, Lady Isabella."

Isabella's grip on the hilt tightened, her knuckles turning white. "Good," she replied, her tone unforgiving. "You will stay hidden until I decide it's safe for you to emerge. Your failure has placed us all in jeopardy, and I will not tolerate any more mistakes."

She withdrew the blade, the tension in the room momentarily subsiding. Isabella stepped back, her gaze locked onto the wounded girl's trembling form. "Remember this, your life hangs by a thread now. Should you dare to defy my orders or make another misstep, your fate will be sealed."

The wounded girl nodded, frustration welling up in her eyes as she lowered her head in submission. She knew after this mistake she won't be able to keep her position as the second-in-command. Isabella's sword returned to its sheath with a soft, ominous click. She turned away, her voice cold and commanding as she issued her final instructions.

"Leave, I want to be alone, make sure you don't talk with anyone on your way back," As soon as Isabella said those words, her second-in-command obeyed and left the room with a depressed look on her face.

Isabella kept looking outside from the window until she started to talk to herself with a disappointed sound.

"Why? Oliver, Why? When Victoria was out of the picture, you were supposed to be mine, why do you keep running away from me? I will change your mind no matter what I have to do, you will see that everything I did was for you," While muttering like a woman, who went mad Isabella wore her aristocratic robe and decided to meet Raven as she had a lot of things she wanted to know from her.

Isabella rode her steed through the bustling city streets. The air was thick with tension, and the nervous glances of the city's inhabitants spoke volumes about the turmoil that had engulfed the realm. Guards clad in polished armour scoured every nook and cranny, their eyes sharp and vigilant as they searched for any sign of the missing first princess.

"Stay sharp, girls! The princess must be found at all costs!" barked a stern captain, her voice carrying through the cobblestone alleys. Isabella watched from beneath her hood, her heart pounding as she felt the weight of the situation settle over her.

Amidst the chaos, the voices of the church preachers rose above the clamour. They stood on makeshift pulpits, their voices booming with fervour, proclaiming that the empire's misfortunes were divine retribution for the disappearance of Oliver, the most hated and loved man in the empire.

"Repent, for the sins of our rulers have brought calamity upon us! Only through prayer and righteous action can we hope to appease the giantess! Bring back our reincarnation of nameless giant, hand him over to the church" cried one preacher, her eyes blazing with righteous look.

She was surrounded by many commoners, as well as merchants who had so much respect for the church, as it stood like a bridge between noble society and commoners.

Isabella's grip on the reins tightened as she navigated her way through the bustling streets, her thoughts racing. She had to reach the castle to meet Raven to discuss about the future of their plan.

As Isabella travelled for a few minutes ignoring all the confusion and panic, the majestic silhouette of the castle loomed before her. Its towering spires reached for the sky, as a symbol of power and authority. Approaching the imposing gates, Isabella drew herself up and met the gaze of the guards.

"Halt! State your business," demanded the guard captain, her voice firm but tinged with a hint of cautiousness knowing she was dealing with someone special.

"I am Isabella Bloodborne, a loyal subject of the empire. I seek an audience with a second princess," Isabella replied, her tone steady despite the turmoil swirling around her. She quickly took her insignia and handed it over to the guards, as proof of her words.

The guard captain exchanged a quick glance with her comrades before nodding. "Very well, Lady Isabella. You may proceed."

As the heavy gates swung open, Isabella guided her steed through the entrance and into the grand courtyard. Her heart raced as she dismounted and handed her reins to a waiting stable hand. With each step she took towards the castle's entrance, the weight of her mission pressed upon her shoulders.

"I can't underestimate that queen, I know she is not someone who would take something like this and wait," Isabella thought as she remembered about how dangerous the situation she was in.

Passing through the ornate halls, Isabella felt the gaze of portraits pass upon her, the imposing figures of rulers who had shaped the empire's destiny. All of them were beautiful and imposing women, who were known as the "Guardians of the Behemothia" as commoners, nobles and most of the people believed that their souls were still protecting this empire from harm.

While observing all these things, she reached the towering doors of the second princess's living quarters, but in front of her was the personal maid of Raven, who was guarding the door for some reason.

"I need to meet the second princess," Isabella wasted no time on tangents; she quickly stated her purpose. The maid's reaction was peculiar—a strange expression played on her face, hinting at concealed secrets. Nevertheless, she yielded and reluctantly swung the door open. Evidently, the realization that refusing Isabella would be unwise had settled in.

The doors swung open, revealing the opulent chamber within. The room was a symphony of luxurious fabrics and exquisite furnishings, bathed in the warm glow of ornate chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. A delicate fragrance, reminiscent of wildflowers, wafted through the air, adding an enchanting atmosphere to the space.

Isabella stepped into the room, her eyes tracing the intricate patterns of the Persian rugs that adorned the polished marble floor. "Tsk, no wonder these royals don't want to leave this throne with all these things," She muttered to herself with an annoyed look, but that didn't last long as she heard a moaning voice in the bedroom chamber of the princess's chamber.

Isabella quickly understood why Raven's maid didn't look happy, but Isabella didn't really care about what Raven was doing until she heard something, that quickly increased her blood pressure.

"Ahhhhhh~ Oliver, that's it, Ahhhhhh~ lick my pussy like that, my bitch,"
