"Issac, do you know about the woman that slapped my plate? And what do you know about Gwendolyn and her power in this place?" Without going on tangents, Oliver decided to be straight and ask what was going on with this place called Havoc Bay. Oliver knew Issac should have some information considering he was in this place for so long.
Wiping tears that struggled to come out of his dried eyes, Issac looked at Oliver and decided to open up even more, even forgetting that he was supposed to hate him for being a noble.
"Are you talking about Lady Morgana?" Issac knew about what happened in the open area of the prison, so he had no problems knowing what Oliver was talking about.
"If you want to know about her, first you should know more about this place, as you can see what people in the empire call "Havoc Bay" is not just a prison, but it is a hidden mine," He continued looking at Oliver and asking him to sit down, as it will be a long story.
"I don't have any idea what we are mining but it must be something special, after all the duty of all these overwhelming numbers of guards is not ensuring our survival, they are here to protect the mine, while we are not just prisoners but also miners,"
Oliver already knew about these things so he wanted to know more, especially about Morgana and Gwendolyn, as their powers would be the most important thing to him.
"Morgana is the leader of Scarlet Circle, which is one of the factions in this prison, while-" Suddenly Issac showed a disgusted face, as he remembered about the next person he was about to talk to. "Gwendolyn is the leader of the noble faction,"
Oliver understood why he showed a face like that, as he knew that Issac hated nobles more than anything.
"So, what are these two factions doing in this place forming factions like this? What exactly is the purpose of this place?" Oliver wanted answers, but Issac didn't know any of them. He just knew everything at the surface level, just like most of the prisoner girls in this place.
"I have no idea, also I'm not interested, I just want to go back to the empire after finishing my sentence, that's why I should be different from the other men,"
"Other men?" Oliver had a confused face, as he thought they were the only people in this place.
"..." Issac went silent for a minute, as a scared look came to his face but then he opened his mouth, but the words that came out of his mouth weren't pleasant. "With me, two other guys came here when we were sent here, one of them is a prostitute who harmed a noble daughter and the other one is a butler who tried to betray his master's household,"
Oliver understood that the people sent here must have committed serious crimes, just like he was accused of, even though he was actually innocent.
"What happened to them? I didn't see them in the main yard," Oliver asked.
"They are-" Issac paused for a minute, as he wondered whether it would be wise for him to talk about things like that, but he knew hiding things would only cause more problems. "They died, more accurately they couldn't take this place, so both of them killed themselves,"
Oliver went silent upon hearing her words because he didn't have anything to say. He had a lot of questions about why and what caused this, but he knew it would be insensitive of him to ask for more information, but he could easily guess what caused them to make a decision so dangerous.
"Is that so? I'm sorry about that, Issac, you should stick with me, I will escape this place sooner or later, I have no desire to rot in this place, I just need more information about these girls, do you know anything about the resonance of two leaders?"
Issac was glad that Oliver didn't ask about the details of what happened or why he was alive, but he found it interesting that he still looked so hopeful even after Morgana attacked him. He just disregarded his words about escaping this place, since he knew that wouldn't be happening anytime soon.
"You're a brave guy," Issac muttered under his breath with a little smile knowing that Oliver would face more and more challenges because of his braveness.
"What did you say?" Oliver looked at him with a confused look, but Issac just nodded his head showing it was not something important. "Nothing, anyway I don't know about Gwendolyn, but I know a little bit about Lady Morgana, after all, I'm a member of the scarlet circle,"
Oliver wasn't taken aback by the news. What truly had the potential to astonish him was if Isaac aligned himself with Gwendolyn, exhibiting his disdain for the nobility.
"She has a very powerful resonance, even Captain Serena won't interfere with her too much, I don't know exact power since I haven't seen her use it, but I believe she has a resonance weapon hidden somewhere that she can use," Issac said.
"You will know soon when the tournaments start, things will get really dangerous then,"
Oliver was eager to inquire further as he heard something interesting about a tournament, yet an unspoken understanding passed between them. The resonance of a bell filled the air, marking the conclusion of their discourse. With a nod, Oliver retreated to his spot, while the woman, who was with them came back into the cage and went back to her place.
