I am next door neighbors to strange twins. I have never personally met them yet, but they don't seem to be all they are meant to be. It is strange because usually when new neighbors move in, the locals would greet them and welcome them to the neighborhood...yet no one welcomed them.

I sighed and watched the two finish moving all of their belongings out of the U-Haul and into their new home. "Is it wrong to judge someone when you first meet someone? Is it fair to judge them based off looks alone? They didn't even meet them and they are avoiding them."

I watched more and noticed the white haired girl drop a box. She was on one knee and holding her ankles. Her sister went to check up on her. I watched as the scene happened and noticed no one went out to help them. I decided to step up and leave the comfort of my own home to help the two.

I hurried out of my house and jogged over to them. "Hey! Do you two need some help?"

They looked over at me then looked at each other. The black hair girl helped her sister up and nodded at me.

"Yeah, we would appreciate it." She said and smiled.

Her sister agreed saying, "We would love the help. We only have a few more items to get out of the truck."

I nodded and started on helping them by grabbing the heavy items first. They watched as I did the heavy lifting and seemed rather appreciative. This was my one good deed of the day, helping two attractive women who seemed to be struggling since the moment they arrived yesterday.

After I got all the heavy and fragile boxes, they went ahead and grabbed the rest of the easy lifting. Within an hour, we finished unloading the truck. We sat on the couch and relaxed for a bit.

"Thank you again. We really appreciate it." The black haired girl said, showing gratitude.

"It's no issue. I just couldn't sit by and watch you two pretty much struggle for much longer. It's weird because this is a nice neighborhood. It's questionable on why no one greeted you two." I said and looked at them.

"It's alright, I don't really mind the fact that we weren't greeted. It doesn't really surprise us anymore. We weren't greeted in any of our previous neighborhoods either." The white haired girl said.

"By the way, what's your name?" The black haired girl asked.

"I'm Ryan." I answered.

"Ryan...I'll remember that..~ My name is Alice." The black haired girl said.

"My name is Lilith." The white haired girl said.

The more I looked at them, the more cold the air had become. There was something about these two that just seemed...not normal to me and the answer was probably screaming at me however I couldn't figure it out. I just left it alone for now.

"It's nice to meet you both." I said and stood up.

"Leaving so soon? Do you want something to drink at least for your hard work?" Alice asked and stood up.

"No I'm fine, but thank you. I should get back home before my pets start to chew up my stuff. If you ever need anything, I'm always next door unless I'm at work. Just stop by anytime." I said and smiled at them.

"Alright, thank you again Ryan." Lilith said and smiled at me.

I nodded and left their home to walk back to my home. 'There was definitely something up, but I can't really put my finger on it...'

I got back into my home and decided to complete my chores around my house.

The next day, I heard my doorbell ringing as I was making breakfast before heading to work. I looked at my phone to see who was at my door using the ChimeBell App. I noticed it was Alice at the door and I turned off the stove before walking to the front door.

I opened the door and looked at Alice. "Good morning Alice, is there anything you need?"

"Kinda...Lilith and I are having a bit of trouble hanging up our TV on the wall." Alice said and held her hands behind her back.

I checked the time and noticed I had two hours left to get to work. "Alright, just give me a second."

"Okay, thanks a million!~" Alice said and hurried back to her house.

I closed the door and went back to the kitchen to pack up my breakfast in containers then cleaned the dishes. After doing everything I needed for myself, I made my way to the twins' house.

I rang their doorbell once I made it and waited outside. Lilith answered the door and smiled at me. She let me inside and closed the door behind herself.

"So the TV, how big is it?" I asked as I walked to the living room.

"65 inches. It's a pretty big TV." Lilith answered as she followed me.

I looked at the TV and noticed Alice sitting on the floor trying to figure out how the drill worked. I walked over to her and crouched down. "That's not how you work a drill."

Alice looked at me and looked at the drill in her hand. "It's not turning on."

I sat beside her and gently took the drill out of her hand. "That's because it's...uhm off? You see the switch right here?"

Alice looked at the switch. The switch was set in the middle.

"That tells you it's off, but if you flip it up or down..." I said and flip the switch to 'Foward' then pressed the button and the drill began to work. "Now it works."

Alice brushed her hair behind her ear and cleared her throat a bit. "I...I knew that. I just wanted to see you do it.."

"Mhm..." I said and smiled. "Alright, move aside so I can help you put the bracket together."

Alice scooted to the side and watched me put the brackets together. She watched me like a child who's seeing something new for the first time.

I picked up the bracket and walked over to where they wanted to hang the TV up and began to measure. Once I got my measurements, I began to get to work.

The twins helped in any way they could by getting the tools I needed and even grabbing me something to drink while I worked. Once all was done, it was time to hook the TV to the bracelet. I lifted the TV with the help of the two and walked over to the wall. We managed to get the TV hooked and wired up within ten minutes.

We sat on the couch and looked at the TV. I looked at my watched and stood up.

"Well I should be heading off. I've got to get to work within an hour." I said.

"Where do you work?" Alice asked.

"I'm a Detective. A Private Investigator." I said and grabbed my phone off the couch and noticed a message on my phone. "Alright I'll be heading off now."

"Okay, thank you again!" Alice said and smiled.

"No problem, I'll be seeing you." I said and walked off.

I left their house and jogged over to my house to finish getting everything ready. I got everything packed and walked out to my car, got in and drove off.

"So your next door neighbors, brand new and no one greeted them. Not even one person outside of you?" One of my partners asked.

"Nope, not a single one. It is strange because my neighborhood is the friendliest neighborhood I know. They always greet new neighbors but it's like they sensed something off about them." I said.

My partner is named Altro Vega. He's one of my favorite partners and my best friend. He's an attorney, a prosecutor, and a PI whenever he's needed. He has white hairs despite being my age, 25, because of an incident he had with one of his recent cases. He was caught in radioactive mist that one of his targets caused before the suspect died because of the mist.

"Have you sensed anything off about them?" Altro asked.

"Not necessarily. I do get chills from their home, but it's probably because of the AC. They are new so I don't want to judge them just yet." I said as I sipped my coffee.

Altro sipped his coffee and got off the wall. "I would say to check them out. There might be a deeper issue at foot. Maybe, they are fugitives."

I listened to Altro chuckle as he walked off. I shook my head and smiled. "Always has a joke or two to say..."

I looked at my phone and my commander had sent me a new case.

[Description: Suspect is said to be wearing a black hoodie, white shoes, and a mask. The suspect is said to have a tattoo on his left leg stated by the injured victim.]

I finished my coffee and tossed the cup in the trash then hurried out to my car. I made it to my car and got in then drove off.

"Detective Ryan." My informant said through my earpiece.

"Here. What can I do for you?" I responded.

"I need you to be careful as the suspect is still out there. I will keep you updated." My informant said.

"Roger that." I said and drove to the address.

I made it to the house and sighed softly. I put on my gloves and noticed another detective on the case. "Detective Ivory."

The woman looked back while her drone scanned the house and the contents inside the house. She took her cigarette out of her mouth and her second drone caught the ashes, converting it to energy for it.

"Detective Holmes. I see you're also on the case. You can help me go through these pictures. I want to try and find this suspect by the end of tomorrow...I don't have much interest in cases like these." Ivory said and stretched.

Ivory Winter, a 23 year old detective who joined the force when she was 19. Her IQ is 155 and she mainly works surveillance, but she is sometimes tasked by the commander to work on the field. Most of the time she dons her favorite black coat and has her dyed red hair in a low ponytail.

"You can't do this on your own? I mean you got here before I was even informed." I said.

"You know I hate cases like these. Besides, I don't know why they couldn't get your best buddy on this case." Ivory sighed and watched her drones work.

"Well his job is being an attorney and a prosecutor first. Besides we aren't necessarily helping either side, just bringing the truth to light. I do view it as helping Altro though since we are gathering evidence to better help his main job." I said and stood beside Ivory.

Ivory finished her cigarette and let it drop into the drone so it could convert it into energy. "Why don't you ever help be an attorney?"

"It's not as exciting to me honestly. This work is what I specialize in. My field work also includes a bit of combat if needed. Altro likes the courtrooms where he gets to bluff and debate his opponent." I said.

Ivory nodded and continued to watch her drones. There was a bit of silence between us for a while.

"So I heard you got new neighbors. How are they?" Ivory asked.

"They're alright. Twins. Nice women. I just don't know why my neighbors are so freaked out by them." I said.

"Probably because they may be some type of criminal." Ivory said half jokingly.

"Altro made that joke already, but I don't know. They are really nice girls. The neighbors will probably have to warm up to them." I said.

"Maybe.." Ivory said.

The drones completed their scanning and a digital screen popped up in front of us. We watched the footage the drones managed to capture. It showed the events of what happened.

"This feed is from five days ago. The police are really slacking aren't they..? So much for the PD Commander being happy." Ivory said.

I watched the footage and two people caught my eye. "Wait, reverse it!"

"How far?" Ivory asked.

"30 seconds." I said.

"Beta reverse 30 seconds!" Ivory commanded.

Beta reversed the footage back 30 seconds. We watched closely and I noticed the two who were shot dead was...

"Lilith and...Alice..?!" I asked in shock. "Show me the aftermath of the incident!"

Beta showed the images of before and after. I looked at the pictures of the aftermath and the house was completely empty.

"I think I know who the two who were killed, and that might lead to who is the suspect. I'll have the answers for you tomorrow!" I said and rushed off.

Ivory watched me and crossed her arms. She looked back at the footage. "He knows them..? How could he possibly know if the two are dead..?"

Ivory sighed and shrugged. "Whatever the case at least I'll have my answers tomorrow."

I rushed to the Twins' house and parked my car in my drive way and hurried over to the house. I rang the doorbell and waited.

Alice opened the door and looked at me then smiled. "Ryan, you're back~ What can we do for you?"

"I need to investigate you and Lilith." I said.
