Alice raised an eyebrow and looked at me, tilting her head slightly. "Have we done something wrong?"
I looked at her and scanned her body. I tried to look for any bullet wounds and any scars that could have been left from five days ago, but she was fully clothed so I couldn't necessarily find anything.
Alice blushed as she noticed me scanning her body. "Ryan...why are you checking me out?"
"I need to ask you and your sister a few questions regarding the event that transpired five days ago." I said.
Alice held her arms and looked away slightly. "I don't know...you haven't even asked how my day was yet and now you're trying to link me with a crime?"
"You aren't in any trouble, I can promise you that...but if you answer my questions I'm sure you'll be doing a great deed for all of us." I said.
Alice sighed softly and looked up at me. "Alright, fine...Come in."
Alice moved aside and allowed me to walk in her home. She closed the door and followed me to the living room.
Lilith poked her head out of the kitchen and noticed me. "Oh Ryan!~ I didn't know you were coming over again today!"
"It's not for a good reason, sis." Alice said.
"Why what happened?" Lilith asked and walked out of the kitchen.
Alice noticed Lilith's white wings were exposed and cleared her throat loudly. Lilith looked at Alice and noticed her pointing. She looked back and blushed. She made her wings disappear and blushed.
I looked at Alice then at Lilith. I noticed Lilith wiping the walls and whistling. I walked over to the living room. "Can both of you sit with me please?"
The twins walked over to the living room and sat down on one couch while I sat on the other couch. They looked at me and waited for me to speak.
"1882 Waco Lane Rd. 10-12-2X25. That address and date sound familiar?" I asked.
Alice looked at me. "N—"
"Before you lie to me, I want to tell you that you two aren't in any trouble and I mean that wholeheartedly. I need you two to tell me the truth...were you two shot and killed five days ago?" I asked.
Lilith closed her eyes and sighed softly. "Yes, we were shot, but we weren't killed. We watched the news on the incident after it happened. They never found our bodies because we never died."
"I believe you were trying to find bullet wounds on me right? Well I don't have any. As for the third person. He was a witness to the crime and the man tried to take him out, but failed." Alice said.
"How are you two still alive?" I asked.
"Uhm...well..." Alice started.
"We're vampires." Lilith said.
"What?" I asked and looked at Lilith. "Seriously?"
"Yeah." Lilith nodded. She stood up and her white wings emerged from her lower back.
"No use in hiding it anymore around you I guess." Alice said and her black wings emerged from her lower back as well.
"Vampires...no wonder the neighbors were so freaked out by you two. You were supposed to be dead and here you are still alive." I said and crossed my arms.
"How are you not freaked out by this?" Lilith asked.
I shrugged and exhaled. "I've seen way worse than vampires. I've seen dismembered bodies and brutal death scenes happen before my very eyes. Two vampires aren't gonna scare me. I do want to ask you two this, do you happen to know the man who tried to shoot and kill you both?"
"We never saw his face, but we can most definitely track him down. We fought him off as best as we could and managed to slash him on his back. We consumed the blood we took from him and we can track him now." Alice said.
"Would you mind helping me find him?" I asked.
"What's in it for us?" Alice asked.
I looked at her and Lilith. "What do you two want as a reward?"
"Well we need a male to help us revive our Alucard Bloodline. But we don't want them to be human, we need them to be a vampire because unlike other Hybrids, Vampires with human ancestry lose most of their power, most noticeably their immortality, their supernatural conditioning, and their esoteric power." Lilith said.
"You both need one?" I asked.
Alice and Lilith looked at each other then looked back at me and nodded.
"Well sorry to burst your bubble, but I don't believe there are any vampires living on Earth anymore. I don't know how I can fulfill that request." I said and stood up. "If there's anything—"
"There is a way to make a vampire!" Alice said and stood up quickly.
I looked at Alice then noticed Lilith stand up quickly as well. "What are you—"
"You can't sire him this time!" Lilith said and frowned at Alice.
"And why not? It's not like you have any experience in converting people into vampires!" Alice said, crossing her arms.
"The last man you converted was still able to be injured!" Lilith said.
"Hold on, that man that's in the hospital is a vampire?" I asked. "Why do you need me then?"
Alice grunted and grew defensive. "We don't NEED you! We just need a male vampire, nothing more!"
"Then go use the man who's hospitalized. He'll recover." I said.
"We can't! He's too weak! We need a stronger male vampire, someone who's able to turn into an actual vampire and can actually be useful!" Lilith said.
"Why are you two yelling at me? I didn't even agree to this yet. How are you two supposed to even convert me?" I asked.
"A-Aahhh...W-We have to...ahh.." Lilith started and grew embarrassed.
"We basically bite your neck and... it'll be easier if I show you.." Alice said and walked toward me.
She wrapped her arms around my nape and exposed her fangs to try and bite me, but Lilith pushed Alice off me and was now extremely jealous.
"What are you doing?!" Alice asked and frowned at Lilith.
"It's not fair you get to do all the converting! It's my turn!" Lilith yelled.
"Alright, how about you both do it AFTER we catch the suspect." I said and sighed.
Alice and Lilith looked at me and agreed. We left the house and hurried over to my car. We got in and I started the car.
"Okay, let's find him and quickly." I said.
"He's on River Road." Lilith said.
I nodded and drove off to River Road.
_____
I stopped my car in front of a house and took out my binoculars then scouted out for the man. Alice and Lilith also looked around and spotted the man.
"There!" Alice pointed.
I got out of the car and ran down the street. "Stop!"
The man looked back and spotted me. He grunted and ran off. I chased after him and contacted my partners and team. He took cut a corner quickly and ran down an alleyway.
"I said stop!" I yelled and unholstered my taser gun. "Taser is coming out!"
Alice appeared in front of the man and kicked his stomach. The man groaned and coughed blood then was launched into a wall. He slammed into the wall and left a hole in it. He fell to the ground, out of breath and had blood trailing from the corner of his mouth.
I slowed down after reaching the man and holstered my taser. I checked to make sure if the man was still breathing. I checked his pulse and heard him groaning softly.
"Do you need any medical help?" I asked.
"Yes..." The man wheezed.
I helped the man up and walked him out of the alleyway. I noticed a few cops, Altro, and Ivory on the scene. I handed the man over to the police.
"You found him rather quickly..." Ivory said and had her hands in her coat pockets.
"Yeah well the two who were shot and killed...they had a relative." I said.
"Oh really? Is it possible for them to come to court and help testify on behalf of the two victims?" Ivory asked.
I softly grunted and noticed a bat land on my shoulder. Ivory and Altro noticed the bat as well. "Well no, but they lent me their pet bat who is great at tracking people from just a scent of blood. I found the man using the bat."
"I see. A pet bat..." Ivory said and looked at Altro.
Altro shrugged and sighed. "I mean, we got the suspect so the means doesn't really matter anymore. Thanks man."
I smiled at Altro and nodded. I watched as everyone headed off. I walked back to my car and got in. The bat flew off my shoulder and turned into Alice. Lilith rose up from the seat and sighed.
"Any reason you two decided to hide away?" I asked.
"Well it's already bad enough that a neighborhood of people knows we aren't dead. What would it look like if the cops knew we weren't dead! We'd have to take a test in court!" Lilith said.
"You don't take a test...You testify. Meaning you tell your side of the story. Why wouldn't you want to testify though? He harmed you two. Wouldn't it be easier for you to testify?" I asked.
"No, how are we supposed to explain we have no wounds from being shot? How are we supposed to explain how we are vampires? We can't explain any of that!" Alice said.
I sighed a bit and leaned back in my seat. "I guess.. Alright I'm gonna take y'all back home."
"Okay." They both said.
_____
I drove down the street and noticed firetrucks and ambulances at Alice's and Lilith's house. The house was on fire and the three of us noticed. I stopped my car and got out with Alice and Lilith.
"Hey, what happened?" I asked and walked toward the paramedics and firefighters.
The firefighter looked back at us. "Detective. It seems like the house caught on fire after an electrical issue occured."
"Our house...All that money gone! Our clothes...our memorable items.." Alice sighed.
"Do you ladies have anywhere you two can stay?" The firefighter asked.
"Well...no." Lilith said.
I looked at them and crossed my arms. "They can stay with me I guess."
"You'll allow us to live with you?!" Alice asked in awe.
"You two don't have anywhere else to go and it's only until your house is rebuilt so why not." I said.
Alice and Lilith smiled at me then nodded happily. I took them over to my house and we walked inside. Alice and Lilith heard my dogs barking. They ran to the front and noticed Alice and Lilith.
"Hey! Coco, Scout! Stand down!" I commanded
Coco and Scout stopped and sat down. They panted and looked at Alice and Lilith closely. I walked to them and crouched down then smiled.
"These are my two babies. Coco, my Husky, and Scout, my German Shepherd. They are rather nice, but rather hyper. I hope you two don't mind them." I said.
"We don't mind, we love dogs actually~" Alice smiled and nodded.
"We don't mind them at all~" Lilith said and held her arms.
I nodded and smiled. I stood up and sighed. "Alright, let's get this over with. Let's get get this conversion over with."
"Okay!~" Lilith said and hurried over to me.
Alice walked over to me and held my hand. I led them upstairs and took them to my room. Once we walked in, I took off my jacket and set it on the chair.
"Alright, let's get this over with." I said and looked at the two.
Alice and Lilith looked at each other. They nodded at each other. They made their way toward me and grabbed each of my arms. They both kissed my neck before biting it. They sucked my blood and began to replace it with their blood. I would be lying if I said the process didn't hurt.
Alice pulled away and blushed softly. She wiped her lips and looked away. "Your blood...is really good.."
Lilith pulled away as well, blushing. "It is...I love it already..~"
I noticed their eyes were shining. It was like I had enabled them. I didn't feel any different but I felt a burning sensation on my neck.
"You should feel a difference tomorrow when you wake up..~ It's important you take a proper rest..." Lilith said.
"Alright I guess." I said and grunted softly as I rubbed my neck.
I showed Lilith and Alice to their room and decided to take my dogs outside. I felt extremely tired and ended up falling asleep outside with my dogs.
