Kai offered me his elbow as he asked me with an irradiant smile shimmering through his eyes. "Are you ready, my love?"
"I've been more than ecstatic to know," I giggled, hooking my hands on his elbow.
Everyone clapped as he led us to the middle of the floor, so that we stood in the center of the gallery. On the second floor to our right, Rome started the bubble blower to reveal the first baby's gender as he announced. "This is the first baby's gender!"
Big blue bubbles floated in the air, and Kai and I were even more ecstatic. It wasn't a surprise that our most dominant and the first vamp baby to reveal itself was, indeed, a boy. Whistles and cheerful clapping echoed in the gallery for the little prince. Alas, Mr. and Mrs. Collin were beaming with happiness.
"The second baby's gender is starting now!" Ace shouted from the second floor.
To our left, from the opposite side of Rome, he activated the second bubble blower. Not a moment later, more blue bubbles sailed out of it. Once again, all our guests and family members cheered and clapped because it meant our second unborn vamp baby was a boy too.
Above us, on the balcony to the front of us, Ivan hollered. "And this will be the third baby!"
Last but not least, we patiently waited for Ivan to turn on the third bubble blower, but there seemed to be a delay. We all saw him fidgeting with it on top of the guardrail.
"We're having some malfunction issues," Ivan hollered from the top of the balcony, and everybody awed in disappointment.
"Start breaking out the bubble wands!" Evan's joking voice lingered out somewhere through the crowd, and everyone burst out laughing.
Of course, leave it to Kai's goofball cousin to say something so humorous. He is always in such a jocular mood to make jokes. Although, he may have a point.
After Ivan hit the bubble blower with his palm, it turned on and the fans started functioning. Pink bubbles fluttered out like butterflies, and I was so excited to be having a daughter.
"I'm so happy for you. You'll need a daughter you can relate to, especially when Kai and your sons make you nuts." Mrs. Collin hugged me around our baby bellies.
This is the best day ever for me. I only wished my mother was here to share it with me.
Veronica was the next to come up, and she hugged me. "Oh, my goodness, I feel so bad for this little angel. I couldn't imagine sharing my mother's womb with Chester and Kai," she teased, making Kai and Chester laugh the loudest out of everybody else who heard her.
"I'm only glad I can finally start decorating for them," I stated, rubbing my round belly.
"Yes, the fun nesting phase," Chester chuckled as he seemed to think back to when Zoey was pregnant.
"No matter how much I cleaned, it seemed like it was never clean enough," Zoey giggled as Chester held his arm over her shoulders.
"Don't remind me," Chester laughed. "Good luck with that one, Kai."
"I won't mind as long as she's happy," Kai smiled before he kissed the side of my head.
"Let's hear you say that after you rearrange the furniture a few dozen times only for them to be put back in the same exact spot they were in." Chester chuckled, and Kai had no remark, but he did laugh with everybody else.
As they were laughing at what Chester said, Sharlene popped in and hugged me between our baby bumps too. "It's so exciting that our girls and your boys will be growing up together," she commented after we hugged.
While I was still in a coma, Sharlene and Jack found out they were having a girl. Ever since Sharlene got pregnant with Jack's offspring because Rex gave them an illegal vampiric chemistry lust spell drink to distract Kai's defenses, things still haven't been the same with them, even after I woke up from my coma.
One thing Kai recently told me is that Jack had fallen in love with Sharlene because he wasn't affected by Savannah's second gift, which gave her the power of being a seductress. She had the ability to seduce any vampire who didn't have a mate or share a pure love for another female, like how a fated vampire would have with his destined mate. So I wasn't sure why Sharlene wouldn't just marry Jack already.
On that same unfortunate night of the blood moon, which is the time vampiresses go into heat to bear offspring, Jack also marked her that night with the irreversible sacred mark. Which meant she was forever bound to him from my understanding of what I've studied about it in those vampiric books. Even if Jack kisses another female, it instantly brings Sharlene dire pain. So I honestly thought it was time she settled down with him, but of course, I didn't tell her this because the situation is complicated enough as it was for her and Jack.
"Let's go check out the chocolate fountain!" Sharlene exclaimed, licking her lips.
Vampiress or not, she was craving chocolate like me. Although, Sharlene was known to eat human food even way before she got pregnant.
"You read my mind!"
Since we have been pregnant, we've been really drawn together, which I read was normal for females who carry vamp babies.
Kai chuckled at us as we disappeared into the crowd. From further away, I noticed he also went to mingle elsewhere with his friends while I hung out with Mia, Sharlene, Rose, his pregnant cousin Ava, and the rest of the vampiresses I was close to.

On Monday morning, I was already back at college. Nora was still sick, so once my classes had ended, I proceeded my way to the cafe to get some soup for her. I already texted Kai, and told him I had decided to give her a visit.
"Victoria Collin!" My name was called behind my back, and I veered around. The man who wore a business trench coat was standing on the sidewalk with me.
"Are you done spying on me?" I rudely retorted, and he smiled.
"My apologies. Mr. Whitlock would like a word with you," he claimed. "He wishes to apologize for his threat."
"As long as he stops spying on me, then all is forgiven. Please deliver my condolences for his loss. Good day to you, sir." I asserted and then proceeded to walk between the two buildings, but then I heard his footsteps following behind me. Getting annoyed, I turned around.
"Look—" A cloth covered my mouth, and then my eyes drifted into darkness as my body fell against his figure.
