Shyri's POV
When we left Xyverinos, I heard Cyvin growl," That was not smart of them to even think about saying that."
Seldra snorted," I do-"
Massive amounts of power flared from inside the room, and the temperature spiked dramatically. All the humans in there came rushing out as Thomas stopped momentarily," I think the idiots made a massive mistake! It would be best if you guys got out of here now. He reached it."
Another massive pulse of power as Cyvin yelled," We need to get out of here now! Thomas, jump on my back!"
Thomas quickly jumped onto Cyvin's back as I glanced back at the doorway; blue-white flames exploded out the door as we immediately flew towards the Rotunda. The energy in my love equipollences increased each second; it wouldn't be long until it exploded.
Aldentoa had her two one-year-old hatchlings on her back, her eyes wide in shock and fear, feeling the powerful energy stopping by her for a second," We need to get out of here!"
Aldentoa stammered," W-what is happening?"
Spirit spoke in a voice full of panic," Xyverinos, reached equipollence!"
Aldentoa's eyes widened in shock and fear as she bolted into the air as Thomas yelled," Everyone get out of here as fast as you can! Your lives are in danger!"
Immediately, they bolted out as the Second in Command yelled," Thomas, get us out of here!"
Thomas looked down at them from Cyvin's back, but a pulsing release of energy exploded outwards as Cyvin shot into the air, jumping into the air after them. Then, breaking through the roof with a single blast of Seldra's powerful wind, we got out; Aldentoa was hovering next to us as she yelled," We need to get farther! While it seems his equipollence is taking a tad longer than most, it means it will be much more powerful!"
Spirit, with gritted teeth, hissed out," I know."
We went out toward the distance as an earth-shattering explosion sent a shock wave that shoved us toward the oceans. Aldentoa, holding her two hatchlings in her claws, gasped. We all looked in that direction as I uttered," He isn't entirely in equipollence."
Enihieh spoke grimly," Far from it. This would be the beginning stage if I had to guess."
The sky was darkening rapidly due to massive storm clouds swirling above us. I began to see the formation of a massive twister; lightning was flashing above us as the blue ball of flames began to expand rapidly, and rushes of wind flung past us. The winds were nearly sucking us in towards the small sun as Seldra used his much better control of our element to shield all of us," We need to go now."
Without another word, we flew as fast as we could far away.
I thought, scared,' Xyverinos, what could they have said to push you to reach that level.'
Thomas growled," Those fools threatened to kill his friends; that caused him to snap."
An even stronger surge of energy came from behind us, turning my head around slightly while we flew; a giant orb of flames spread across the land, increasing in size and temperature and obliterating trees, the ocean nearby, and even nearby human settlements. Spears of light arced through the air and peppered the ground, destroying whatever the spears hit. The lightning continuously struck the ground as Cyvin yelled," It's condensing!"
He was right. It was shrinking now at a paid pace. We could see the devastation caused by the increase in size. The entire ground was eaten away by the beginning stages of Xyv's equipollence; boiled rock remained.
Feeling bad in my stomach, I spoke," Let us move further away! I have a terrible feeling that he is about to release the full power of an awakened angelic equipollence can do."
Spirit growled," Yeah."
Shooting through the air as fast as my wings could carry us, just as an explosion of raw energy, more potent than anything we have ever felt, washed over us as I gasped, seeing the stunning design it left behind. This was a miniature supernova. Being a reasonable distance from the ocean, I knew most of the coast and part of the ocean were gone. Knowing that anyone caught in the vicinity of the blast was dead. If Xyverinos were to find out about all the unicorns, dragons, and wyverns, his equipollence would be devasted.
The light faded from the equipollence as all that remained was a burning blue-white wyvern. Yet, even with us being at a distance, I could see traces of lightning sparking around him. Seldra gulped in fear," Look what him releasing equipollence did."
My eyes widened in shock; the entire base was eradicated, the ocean surrounding it was nothing but a crater, and the ocean was struggling to fill it up again. The shoreline was gone; nothing was left other than molten rock here and there.
The tornado died and disappeared as I watched Xyverinos collapse out cold, his blue-white fading away, the sun glinting off his scales as I noticed his body was different.
Winging around, I flew towards him as Cyvin yelled," Shyri, stop!"
Ignoring him, I landed softly on the piece of small concrete his body was on. Taking note of this, his scales seemed to gleam, nails, horns, and claws razor-sharp, and feathers seemed iridescent, the blue in them much more noticeable than before. His body was much more streamlined, and it suited him more.
Spirit, who had followed behind me, whispered in awe," Amazing."
Slyrak's Pov
Feeling a massive aura, I froze as Allit landed a brutal hit on my chest. I was sent flying back as I groaned," Ow, what in the world was that?"
Allit shook her head," I don't know. It felt like your sister's aura but infinitely more potent. Who was that?"
Krodi's voice yelled, running in," Slyrak, Allit, head to the council chambers!"
Confused, I asked her," What could this be about?"
She shrugged," No idea, perhaps about that large power surge."
Flying towards the chamber halls as Krodi opened the doors as the entire council was here surprised me. The council hadn't been in one place in over two years since the day Xyverinos was captured.
I gasped in fear," Shit, Xyverinos reached it."
Elder Storm looked confused," What did Xyverinos reach?"
Xisu and Graveonth's eyes widen from their spots next to their father and sister, respectively.
Shirlan looked confused," That aura couldn't have been Xyverinos. I mean, he was exceptionally powerful, but he wasn't close to reaching it, was he?"
Allit snorted," Two and a half years is a long time. Someone must have pushed him to extreme measures to reach it."
Elder Storm yelled out," Shut up! Yes, we called you here because of that aura. Now that we know it was Xyverinos, what should our next step be?"
I said," To keep it simple, allow him to come here. He will be very drained from reaching such a power."
Allit nodded," Yeah, I remember how drained I was from the entire thing."
All the other equipollences in the room agreed with what I said.
Elder Storm sighed," Very well. Council dismissed.
Graveonth approached me and chuckled," He said he would get out of there. We should have trusted him."
Nodding in agreement," Yeah."
Out of the majority of our group, Graveonth was the largest of us then. Despite me being a tiny bit older, Xisu was a little bit smaller than me.
Breathing outwards, I looked at Allit," Well, shall we continue our spar?"
She shrugged," May as well."
Unknown Pov
Chuckling darkly in the darkness of my home deep beneath the earth," Well, it seems those idiot humans finally made him snap."
My second command voice sighed," He is on par with me now. If we were to fight right now, I would win due to his lack of energy. So when will we begin our next stage of the plan?"
I answered with a voice full of menace," In five days. I trust you to begin it.
Xyverinos PoV
I heard Shyri's voice," Is he going to wake up soon?!"
I let out a groan, drained entirely from whatever happened to me.
I heard Thomas chuckle," Does that answer your question?"
Opening my eyes, I spoke, and it felt different," What in the world happened?"
Looking at them, I blinked, trying to focus as Enihieh spoke nervously," You reached equipollence."
I blinked once, twice, as I yelled," What!?"
Seldra chuckled a very rare sound," If you don't believe us, look around."
Looking around, I noted that we were on the only surviving piece of land on the ocean; from what I could see, the entire ground and part of the coast were gone.
Shyri, my love, chuckled," I wish I could use one of those human gadgets right now."
