That was... amazing more trees and snow; I want to die. The disappointment didn't last long though because we could hear it even when snow was everywhere. The beats of drums. Can you hear that world? It's music; that means we're saved. Thank you, God, for giving us another chance to live.
"i can cry right now; we're saved." I was filled with hope again, so much hope.
"Don't get too excited; the demonic energy is coming from there..."
"why do you have to ruin everything? let a man dream for once." Now my hope was gone; demons here meant that we were going to for sure die. Oh, screw it, they're the only hope for us to survive; we might as well just risk it.
"let's go there anyway; we have no other choices left."
"Are you crazy?! If we go there, who knows what they might do?"
"either stay here and rot or come with us for demon steak."
Looks like that convinced him; good.
We were now walking towards the noise of drums beating. Noticing a few things when we were walking there. For starters, there were trees that were stripped of their skin all around us. Every single tree had been stripped to reveal their inner layers. And many things were hanging from the trees.
"This was a horrible idea; I should have just stayed behind." Gramps was now shaking nervously with a hint of terror in his eyes.
"Stop whining; it's not so bad... yet."
"let's just hope we don't regret this."
When we got closer and closer to the noise, sticks were hung on a tree. No matter the size of the stick, every single stick around us was hanging. What's even creepier is that when we got farther inward, dolls were hanging. All of them were hung by the neck, just like humans hang themselves.
The eyes of each doll were gorged out one by one, and every one of them was on the ground covered in snow.
"M-maybe w-we should turn back; it's not too late to save ourselves." If the stripped bark was not enough to scare him, then this did.
"The old man is right. I don't think this is a good idea anymore." Why is a demon agreeing with him in this
"no, we are continuing; there's no point going back now." If I were to be honest, we were going into something that could kill us. But there's no other option left.
When we nearly reached our destination, everything was now a little more normal; the trees weren't stripped to the brim; they had bark on them, and the best part was no hanging sticks on any of the trees. The sad part was that there were still hanging humanlike dolls on them.
"maybe it isn't so bad after all..." I'm lying, this is bad.
"No, this is still really bad."
"Stop whining and let's just move on; we don't want to still be here till night falls."
Moving on, we walked for a couple of more minutes, and everything was now finally normalish. There were now trees that were a little more lively, and now the trees were just dead. No more hanging sticks, and finally, no more dolls with their eyes gorged out. Everything was like before we got here.
"i have never been more glad to see dead trees and snow in my life." I was now feeling more relief than ever before.
"That's odd; I don't feel any Demonic Energy anymore. As soon as we got past those hanging dolls, the Demonic Energy disappeared."
Peeking at a distance, I saw a small, shadowy silhouette of a person in the corner of my eye. I think we're saved; there's finally hope for us.
