Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: Diana

With a wave of her hand and whispers drop her mouth, Diana rained down scorching flames upon the willow trees.

Willow trees are spawns of the Ancestral Willow Tree, the heart of the forbidden forest. By infesting the surrounding vegetations with it's seeds, trees will be brought to life and will act as parasites that absorbs life from the ground and living creatures around.

That's the reason why, despite this forest being so dense, it's all red and withered.

So burning this forest would actually do good for the eco system. Think of it as removing a tumor that sticks out like a sore thumb.

~After scaring a great deal of pests away~

I brushed off the dust from my clothes and made my way to my favorite spot in this forest, situated at the side of hill, an azure lake of pure clear water that springs down a waterfall. The willow infestation didn't reach nature around here and it's one of the few safe zones around in this forest and also one of the most enchanting places I have ever been to.

I took off my clothes and dipped inside the water. I looked around in case there were prying eyes and then I finally for the first time in a week I got to spread my wings without fear of being found out.

Fairies are Rare. Fairies with wings are even more rare! Only a high ranking fairy would be orned with wings after transcending normal fairy nature through rigorous training and practice.

Fairy wings are not just for decoration, they are powerful weapons. But they are also part of your body, so not moving them does make you feel sore.

I flapped my wings before I waved my hand above the water surface and whispered the "Heartwarming Words".

Heartwarming Words are normally a simple healing spell within the fire element. But it can also be used to raise temperature thus heating the water and making me a nice warm open air bath.

I dipped and splashed the water before sinking in until my entire body was under water and then I emerged back brushing the water off my hair.

I laid back enjoying the hardly earned resting time when I suddenly felt a presence.
