Scarlet picked her bag once lectures ended and she walked out of the classroom along with other students. She navigated her way through the bustling hallway and the echoes of their voices filled her ears as they disperse around, absorbed in their own conversations and thoughts.
Scarlet shut the voices until they got thinner and thinner, till she could once again hear that silence she needed. Unlike other days, walking without her best friend or ex boyfriend didn't bother her today. Instead, she found it peaceful. It was as if it was what she needed at the moment, but that would soon change when she got to the end of the hallway and while she stared in the sun filled open space, she caught sight of Melanie walking out of the gate with Johan and on a closer look, she saw them get into a car that was parked outside before it drove off.
