Chapter 27 - Requirements of a Holy Relic

on the 9th floor, Lumos unleashed a blinding burst of radiance magic, to which Hell countered with a piercing blood magic attack. "Impressive," Hell remarked. "How did you summon your holy relic without your grimoire, or is it not a holy relic at all?"

Lumos smirked, acknowledging Hell's keen observation. "Good eye," Lumos admitted. "This is indeed my holy relic, the Divine Book of Eos."

Hell taunted, "So, that's your holy relic." They clashed swords vigorously.

As they battled, Aoi began to regain consciousness. Iris quickly approached and asked, "Aoi, are you alright?"

Aoi nodded weakly. "Yes, I am, ma'am," she replied.

Iris pondered their situation and inquired, "What should we do now? These claws keep coming."

Lumos, still locked in combat with Hell, made a decision. "Mana Domain Radiance Magic Arctic Ice!" The entire floor was blanketed in ice, freezing the blood and putting a halt to the claw attacks.

Iris was concerned. "He used that spell, but it must have cost him a great deal of magic."

Lumos continued his battle with Hell in the skies. Hell taunted him, "You're wounded, fighting me and protecting your injured comrades, yet you refuse to abandon them."

Lumos responded defiantly, "Of course not. They are my friends."

Aoi realized they needed an all-out attack. She suggested, "We need to finish this with a coordinated strike."

Iris had an idea. "I have an enhancement rune. If we combine that with your blade magic and land one clean hit, we can defeat her."

On the 10th underground floor, Roy inquired about Baron's objective, "So, what exactly is your objective?"

Baron responded confidently, "We are here for an item called the Mausoleum of Eternal Darkness, or something like that."

Roy noticed the object he was guarding and inquired further, "So, where is it?"

Baron's tone remained dismissive, "Can't you see behind me? It's on the pedestal. Unfortunately, that guardian hasn't been very cooperative in letting us get through."

Roy chuckled, "Oh, is that so?" He swiftly attacked the guardian, known as Atrotamest.

The guardian warned, "I am Atrotamest. Leave, or be destroyed."

Roy stood his ground and said, "Neither." He turned to his comrades, Astrea and Klaus. "You guys handle the guardian. I'll take care of this Baron."

Astrea and Klaus nodded in agreement, with Klaus utilizing his absorption magic to create a kinetic surge. He delivered a powerful punch, but the guardian effortlessly blocked it, sneering, "Black magic limitless."

Astrea, undeterred, used her spin magic to create a zephyr ring. "Now, saturn!" he commanded. However, the guardian had shielded itself, to their surprise.

Klaus suggested, "Maybe another piercing storm attack?"

Astrea agreed, "Yeah, it might work. But let's gather some energy first."

Klaus prepared himself, and then he unleashed a punch at the guardian, but the guardian countered with a forceful punch, sending Klaus hurtling into a wall.

Astrea asked, "Was that enough?"

Klaus replied, "Yeah."

Astrea smiled, "Alright, then. Are you ready?"

Klaus nodded, determination in his eyes. "Always."

With a combination of spin magic and absorption magic, Klaus battled the guardian, landing a final punch that sent the massive guardian crashing into a wall, causing considerable damage due to its towering height of 12 feet.

Astrea seized the opportunity, commanding, "Now, spin magic Saturn Burst!" The rubble from the crash rushed toward the weakened guardian.

Meanwhile, Roy clashed fiercely with Baron and his curse magic.
