chapter 6) arc of Henry Bowles the leader of the Dwz)
Henry sits in the middle of his couch with crossed legs and his arms resting on top of his knees. He tries to remain calm, but his heart rate picks up speed and a slight tremble goes through his body. He remembers those days clearly. Those days where he felt more alive than ever before. They were wonderful times. Those days were his happiest memories and yet he doesn't remember a single thing. No amount of searching or searching for clues in the internet can bring back those happy days. There are only memories he has with the person he once was.
Henry closes his eyes and tries to remember his life before meeting Mary Elizabeth. There is nothing, no feeling, no emotion. No memories, no feelings, nothing. The only thing Henry can do is try his best to push these thoughts away. He doesn't want to think about anything related to what he lost. Not when he finally has everything back again. Everything except the girl. She is missing.
"Hello, Henry," a quiet voice says behind him. Turning around Henry sees Henry's father approaching him with a smile on his face.
"Hey, dad." The seventeen year old replies calmly. "How've things been recently? Is school okay? Is work treating you well?" The teenager asks, hoping that it might make his father a little bit happier.
But as soon as he sees that Henry is genuinely asking him about his life, his father's grin quickly fades away. "Things aren't great, son,"
(current days) Henry Bowles being with his group Dwz invaded a community is looting their things is holding people hostage in an abandoned building and shooting them in cold blood. (current day)
"I know I'm busy trying to figure everything out," Henry responds. "That's how you taught us how to become better people and protect others".
(past timeline)
The group stands outside a house on the outskirts of the city, their guns raised at the four people inside. One of them steps forward carefully, taking careful steps until he gets to the edge of the porch. Standing next to the doorway is the woman, dressed in jeans and a tight fitting sweater. She appears relatively unharmed and even though the others stand closer together, they don't relax their stances.
Henry frowns as he watches the two interact with the group outside the house; one man standing near the front and one standing by the door. It doesn't appear to bother him in the slightest as he simply keeps speaking, telling them the location and the plan of attack. It seems to be working too. The group members are slowly relaxing, lowering their weapons slightly to the point that the gun that he held is now pointed at the dirt.
'It worked,' Henry thinks, watching as the woman finally moves inside the house with the man following closely behind her.
They're safe.
