The large creature made its appearance, stomping towards their location in its enormous size. It towered over the mountains, weighing more than entire islands combined.
Its appearance was that of the Nine-tailed fox.
Nine tails were behind its back with a crescent moon symbol on its forehead. Red symbols streaked through its white fur, and burning flames would emerge from its paws. It growled at the two of them as it slowly slanted its head down, showing its fangs.
"...Now what?" Muttered Crimson.
"We have no choice—we have to fight it." Shouted Kuma.
"Alright then, bring it on!! Show me what you can do, you filthy mutt!"
Upon command, the fox would swing its paw at Crimson, slamming it into his side. The initial force was powerful enough to diminish most of his life points, tossing him across the air like a leaf in a hurricane.
"Ghhh!" Crimson expressed his pain with his anguished face, but quickly recovered with a backflip, skidding across the ground, "Let's try that again you shitface!"
"Crimson, don't egg it on!" Shouted Kuma, rooted in place, "We have to strategize, all you're doing is getting yourself killed!"
"I am strategizing!"
"By doing what?!?"
"By shit-talking, of course! That always gets people on their nerves. Continue to piss them off until they show their strongest attack, and that way we'll be able to know what to watch out for."
"What kinda plan is that??"
"A crimson plan!"
The Nine-tailed fox pounced at the Defender-Class once again, swinging its paw, but this time claws could be shown protruding from its hand.
"Sentinels Treachery!" Crimson lifted his arm into the air, manifesting a shield inside his hand, blocking the strike.
The red primordial would glance at the shield in confusion as if it was intelligent enough to understand this weapon.
"What? Fox got your tongue?" Crimson bashed the shield forward, knocking the mountain-sized fox backward, "Dracona Typhon!!" With his moonblade in hand, Crimson lunged at the nine-tailed fox, thrusting the heavy blade forward.
Dracona Typhon was a strong attack that infuses Crimson's mana into his weapon or body, and once fully charged, he can rush down the enemy, being able to ignore physical and magical attacks for a short duration through the charge of the attack.
The Fox was in quite a predicament. It swung its massive tail at Crimson, but he endured the attack, jabbing his blade into the primordial's snout.
Ngruuuuoooaaa!!!
It released a high-pitch screech, smashing its face into the ground with Crimson on its snout.
"Gaaahhh-!" He wailed in pain the moment he crashed into the rocky terrain, feeling his life points drain.
"Fire Storm!" A wave of flames would engulf the terrain around them, incinerating trees, grass, rocks, and debris. Nothing would be left once the wave of flames consumed all, even the nine-tailed fox, "Huh?" But to Kuma's surprise, the fox was uninjured, "It endured an A-tier elemental spell?"
The Primordial opened its mouth, positioning its head at Kuma.
"Shit...!"
Heat started to gather within its jaws, surpassing even that of a nuclear bomb.
"Phantom Eyes!" Kuma activated his phantom eyes, giving him the ability to perceive all Phenomena, even if hidden. They could see through deception, transformations, illusions, and people's dualities, such as good or evil.
With the eyes active, he could see the effects of this attack.
But it left him shocked.
"It's the death status effect?! But its tier completely surpasses that of S-tier!"
"Kuma... take cover!!"
"I'm... gonna die."
A rising howl of terror. The destructive energy became a fiery beam that could reduce a country to ash.
It traversed the sky, heading in Kuma's direction.
("I can't dodge it... that's impossible!")
"Move outta the way you dumbass!!"
("Even if I dodge the blast, it has homing properties. It'll just track me down and kill me! It's no use in trying... I'll have to endure it somehow!")
Kuma lifted both hands into the air feeling the heatwave collide with his hands.
It pushed him across the sky, but he managed to even it out, keeping the blast at a standstill.
"Grrr...hghhh!!" Blood started to leak from his lips and nostrils as he kept the blast at bay, using all the strength that he had.
But it still wasn't enough.
Kuma lost his footing and was being pushed back.
("If it hits me... I'm dead! This attack can even kill someone like Emperor. It bypasses the resistances of a Great King... there's no way I can slip up right now!")
"Damnit Kuma..." Crimson lifted his hand, "Unfold!" He opened his personal hub, bringing forth an item from his inventory, "I guess I have no choice but to use this." Holding the item in his hand, it appeared to be a golden stone with angelic wings carved into its exterior. Crimson firmly gripped it, nodding his head, "It's worth a shot."
Kuma was feeling his strength be depleted.
He could only hold onto the blast for so long until it consumed him. At this point, he was accepting his death.
However...
"Spatial Warp!"
Crimson appeared next to Kuma, kicking him in the side to knock him out of the way.
"Huh?!" He was knocked off balance, unable to perceive what happened... until he looked to his side, noticing Crimson standing there.
Everything felt slow motion, but he could hear his friend clear as day, saying, "If this doesn't work... then tell Mona that I actually enjoyed her gigantic tits rubbing up against me. I have no regrets."
"Crimson- Crimson!!!"
The wave of flames consumed Crimson's entire body, reducing him to ashes.
His life points were depleted entirely. Data particles rose into the air, along with his soul, marking his death. The wave of flames eventually collided into the ground in the far regions, creating a massive explosion that traveled for miles.
Once cleared, it would reveal a massive spherical hole, twenty kilometers across.
The attack vaporized everything, leaving nothing in its destructive force.
Kuma would only levitate there in shock, watching his friend's data particles slowly vanish into the air, leaving nothing left of him.
"... Crimson, did you really die?"
"Yes, indeed. He has perished."
The sound of a multilayered voice was heard behind Kuma's backside, revealing the Red Primordial.
They slowly approached the Elemental-Class player, huffing through their nose, and releasing steam.
"So you do understand us?" Asked the distressed Kuma.
"Yes, every word. Did you wander into my territory, not expecting death? How foolish of you. For many years I kept this world balanced alongside my brothers and sisters; The Green Primordial, The Blue Primordial, and The Yellow Primordial. We eliminate all possible threats that could damage our creator, Terra."
"...."
"That includes the Four Great Kings as well. But, we are not ready to face them yet. We will continue to consume more land and spread our biome throughout the world, so we may grow stronger to challenge them."
"..."
"You are quiet. Ah, yes, the death of your friend. He risked his life to save you, but in the end... you'll end up dying anyway. His death was in vain, how pitiful."
"Don't talk about him like that. You don't know Crimson like I do."
"Hmm?"
"He wouldn't let some weak attack like that kill him off. Just because he died doesn't mean he's dead!"
"Could you repeat that again? Your logic seems twisted, child."
"You heard me. There's no use in repeating it! Crimson isn't gone from the game, he's gonna return... and when he does... I'll be here waiting for his arrival!"
"How foolish. You would rather create a false delusion than accept your death?! You aren't deserving of a warrior's execution! I will kill you like prey to a beast!"
"You're all talk! I know your attacks now, so come at me, and give me your best shot, I can guarantee you won't be landing another attack anytime soon."
"Hahahaha! So says the unhonourable one!"
"Think fast!" Kuma would suddenly vanish in thin air, appearing underneath the primordial, "Dark Eclipse!"
"What?! But how did you get underneath me!!"
Darkness would explode from underneath the nine-tailed fox, trapping them inside of a domain. The darkness captured all living organisms within its confines, surrounding them in pitch blackness: nobody could see, nobody could hear, nobody could taste, and nobody could smell. Within this domain, all five senses were cut off, even the sixth sense.
"Where am I?!" Shouted the primordial, clueless to its location, "This isn't a spell from the Elemental-Class, what is this?"
"It's a spell I created on my own."
Kuma's voice was heard nowhere.
Nobody could see him, nobody could sense him.
"And right now, I'm talking to you through telepathy. Your other five senses are cut off, along with your sixth sense as well."
"You...!"
"Every ten levels, a player can create their own custom spell. Level 10 you get your first custom spell, and the same goes for level 20, all the way up to level 100."
"Where are you?!"
"The spell you're inside of now is a level 80 spell I created. Your resistances are futile."
"What?"
"Like how the Great King can nullify endless resistances—we Phantom Mutiny can destroy an innumerable amount. Why do you think we're known as the strongest Guild in Isekai World Online?"
"You won't hold me here forever... mortal scum!"
"No, I don't plan on trapping you." Kuma lifted his hand into the air, revealing himself floating within the dark domain, "I plan on killing you."
"Neru!!!"
"Huh?!" Kuma would suddenly feel a wave of sleepiness wash over his body, "What... the hell?!" He trembled in the air, going back and forth... until he eventually lost consciousness, "I'm... sleepy all of the sudden." The Dark Domain would disappear, having his body collide with the ground.
"Oh, I see now." The Nine-tailed fox slowly walked towards Kuma, slanting its gigantic head down, "Your spell, Dark Eclipse, drastically depletes your Mana points when it's active. So that's why you didn't use it at first? Fufufu~! What a waste of life. You had the potential to be a great warrior if you continued to train." The Fox lifted its foot into the air.
"However, my whole purpose is to destroy those who are too strong and pose a threat to my creator, Terra. Your life ends here, Minegishi Hibiki."
The primordial would slam its foot into the ground, crushing Kuma whole... or should one say, crushing Minegishi Hibiki whole.
