Chapter 45 - Fleeing From Annihilation

"Crimson!" Carmine ran over to her injured master, getting on her knees to hold him by the shoulders, and pull him into her chest, "I'll heal you in just a second! Stay with me master Crimson!" He could barely speak after taking so much damage. It was a miracle that he was even alive.

"Relay to me your purpose." Lucifer stepped in front of Carmine, towering over her figure, his expression was vengeful.

"I am The Red Primordial, Carmine!"

"I know who you're, primordial, but I am not talking to you." Lucifer reached to grab Crimson, lifting him from Carmine's grasp, "Relay to me your purpose, boy."

"Wait! I know of him, his name is Crimson Argonaut! He is my master!"

"Hm?" Lucifer glared at Carmine, scowling, "A mortal being the master of a primordial? Hmpf." Lucifer tittered, "If I wasn't a great king, I would've thought this was some illusion. That's how ridiculous this sounds!"

"Now please, let me heal him, Crimson is at one HP! If he takes any more damage, he will surely die. Spare him, Lucifer!"

"Should I?"

"Huh?!"

"Should I spare a member of the Phantom Mutiny?" Lucifer noticed the guild symbol implanted on Crimson, exposing his position.

"Yes, he's here to show no harm!"

"Yet he's working with my enemy, Emperor, and Angelica." Lucifer pulled Crimson closer to his face, "Do you know where your friends are?"

Crimson slowly started to frown, lifting his hand to grab Lucifer's collar, "Where... are... they?"

"Emerald and Christopher are locked away—sealed within my castle. With them in my grasp, it lowers the manpower of the West Continent, considering they're in alliance with the North Continent." Lucifer chuckled, "Two of the most powerful guild members in the entire world are gone! Fate favors me more than ever!"

"Bas...tard... let them... go!"

"Let them go? Hahaha—you'll be joining them, Crimson Argonaut! With the entire Phantom Mutiny out of my way, the war will be pitiful to the likes of my enemies!"

"Please..." Carmine would get on her hands and knees, lowering her head, "Do not take away my master. He's the only reason that I am alive, and without him... I would surely end my life, for there is no reason for me to live."

"Red Primordial, why do you take a liking to this humanoid? Has his influence truly changed you?"

"Yes. He defeated me in battle."

"What?" Lucifer lifted his brow, shocked to hear such a claim, "Someone who's not a Great King, defeating a Primordial? Hahaha... Kuhahahahaha!" The King lifted his head back, laughing in hysteria, "Isn't that more than enough of a reason to seal him away?!"

"Not on my watch. Maelstrom!"

A sinkhole suddenly emerged underneath Lucifer, vacuuming him inside.

"Crimson!" It was Minegishi, he was finally up after being put to sleep, sending Lucifer into his pocket dimension located at the end of time, devoid of life and substance. That was his custom spell, Maelstrom.

"Kuma...?"

"C'mon, get up!" Minegishi picked up Crimson from the ground, holding him in his arms.

"I am coming with you!"

"Who the hell are you?" Asked Minegishi, noticing Carmine approaching them.

"There's no time to explain, Lucifer will be here at any moment!"

"Wait... Lucifer?! One of the Four Great Kings? That's who I sent away?"

"Yes. Your spell won't last for long—not to that of a Great King, so hurry!"

"Alright, grab on." Upon command, Carmine grasped his arm, "Extend Magic, Spatial Warp." And then they vanished.

"You... pest!" Lucifer emerged from the ground, slamming his feet into the terrain, "I was caught off guard, they managed to escape." He looked around him, gritting his teeth in anger, "That boy, he was also another member of the Phantom Mutiny. His spell, Maelstrom, sent me to the end of time, where matter doesn't exist, and reality stopped functioning. Time is also nonexistent there." Lucifer looked at his hand, "What a fearsome foe. If I wasn't who I am, he would've surely sealed me away, permanently."

"I've been walking through this snow biome for over thirty minutes, where the heck are those two?" Lucienne ran through hordes of mobs, hacking and slashing them into pieces.

In this winter-themed biome, it's fairly hard to survive. It's recommended for players who are comfortable with the game and mastered the basics of everything in Isekai Online. Snow and ice are common here, and trees and other nature are usually frozen.

All around Lucienne were Ice slimes, level 10 creatures.

There were also snow wolves, who were level 15, and Wendigos who were level 20. Yeti's are quite common, ranging from level 25 to 30.

But the strongest mob in the snow biome was Krampus, a level 60 boss.

And Lucienne killed dozens of them.

"Sheesh. If I have to kill another Krampus boss, then I'll start to feel bad. These guys aren't all that strong for someone like me. It's kinda like kicking a slime and watching it go poof."

She looked ahead of her, ignoring the ice slimes shooting their icicles towards her body, considering they didn't do any damage.

Lucienne was too strong for something like the Snow Biome, so it made sense.

"Phantom Eyes."

The Demon activated her Phantom eyes, giving her the ability to pinpoint her desired location or weak points of her enemies. She could find a flaw in a spell, or understand how a spell works by seeing it only once.

Each member of the Phantom Mutiny has Phantom Eyes, but they all do different things, such as;

Emperor. He's the one who created the Phantom Eyes in the first place, thus, his is the strongest. Once activated, Emperor can destroy anything with a mere glance. From immortals, concepts, and matter, to even debuffs or buffs. They're known to be passive whenever he's unable to perceive an attack.

Angelica. She didn't want any Phantom Eyes at first, but Emperor persuaded her that it was for the better. Her Phantom eyes allow her to create matter and concepts, including entire Data Cores as well. She can perceive the entire world, gaining limited omniscience. (In truth, she modified them to do their own thing, but Emperor was fine with it)

Emerald. Her Phantom Eyes eradicates all Phenomena, including events. If there's an event of you obtaining a powerful weapon, her eyes will eradicate that event from history, destroying it from the flow of causality entirely.

Christopher. His Phantom Eyes allows him to weaken his opponent and their magic, forcing them to be weaker in battle. This is potent for someone like him, considering he's someone who uses debuff magic and could take advantage of weakened spells and stats.

Minegishi. His Phantom Eyes perceive all Phenomena, even if hidden. They could see through deception, transformations, illusions, and people's dualities, such as good or evil. Nothing could hide from his eyes, he could find out if someone is lying, or telling the truth, or if they're rich or poor.

Crimson. His Phantom Eyes allows him to adapt to any and all phenomena. With this, Crimson could be infected by a powerful debuff, and his body will naturally adapt to the debuff and overcome it, which allows him to endure it whenever it's used again. Whatever fails to kill him, will simply make him stronger, and he'll evolve over it.

"Wow, I'm really far away from Lucifers castle. I got some traveling to do." Lucienne sighed, wrapping her arms behind her head, "It's a bad idea to use Spatial Warp, considering I'm in this guy's territory, he might find out pretty quickly. Hmm… what to do… what to do." Lucienne looked around her, lost in thought, "Oh?" But something came to mind the moment she saw the slimes huddled up together, "I got it!"

"We finally made it out… thank god!" Minegishi, Crimson, and Carmine were back in North Continent's main lobby, lying on the floor in defeat, "We could've died if we stayed there any longer." Muttered Kuma.

"Oh my god. Crimson, Kuma, What happened?!" Mona came running to their location, sitting on her knees to hold Crimson's body, "Is he okay?!"

"I don't know." Muttered Minegishi.

"Huh? What do you mean? Weren't you with him?!" Asked Mona.

"Yeah, I was, but a lot happened… and I don't know what went down, because I was knocked unconscious."

"Knocked… unconscious?!" Mona looked at Carmine, baffled by their appearance, "Who is this?"

"My name is Carmine. I'm one of the Four Primordials and servant to Master Crimson."

"F-Four Primordial's?!" Mona lifted her brows in shock, as did the other players who heard their conversation.

"Dude… did you hear that? It's a freaking primordial… inside the Main Lobby?!" (Fighter Class)

"I know, that's freaking insane! This is like some fever dream right now." (Knight Class)

"So it is you." Minegishi frowned, standing up on his feet, "You tricked me."

"What?! I don't understand… what do you mean I tricked you?" Asked Carmine.

"You tricked me into bringing you here, so you could find our hideout, is that it?!" He balled up his fist, opening his personal hub to summon forth a blade.

"No, you have it all wrong! I'm subservient to Crimson! He defeated me in battle and took me in!"

"Hey… Minegishi…"

"Huh? Crimson, you're alright?!" Kuma widened his eyes, kneeling to his friend.

"Crimson, I'm so glad to see that you're okay!" Mona hugged his body, as did Carmine.

"What do you want to tell me? Make it quick, and try not to talk so much." Asked Minegishi.

"Carmine… is on our side…"

"Carmine? The Red Primordial?"

"Yes… she belongs to me… so don't go killing her off, Will yah?"

"Oh…" Minegishi looked at Carmine and nodded his head, "Alright. Confirmation from you is more than enough for me to trust her."

"Good… now… I think my HP is permanently at 1%, from taking damage by that damn Blue Primordial."

"One-freaking-percent?!" Shouted Minegishi.

"Yeah… looks like we'll need Angelica and her support magic. Goddamnit, I overdid it."

Minegishi chuckled.

"Yeah, you did. Sleep for now, we'll take it from here and get you patched up." Kuma patted Crimson's shoulder, reassuring him.

"Alright… you got it."

Crimson passed out, going unconscious.
