"What's this? How are you alive?"
The Nine-tailed fox widened their eyes, perceiving the image of a hero underneath their foot.
It was crystal clear who this person was.
"Yo, Kuma, so that's your name, huh? Minegishi Hibiki." Crimson snickered, "You're not even Japanese and you chose the most weeb-ish name. But that's just like you, so I can't complain," Crimson had halted the primordial's attack with his shield, all while carrying Minegishi inside his arm, "Did you really think I was gonna just give up my life without some backup plan?" Crimson bashed the fox's paw away, knocking it off balance.
"But how?! How can you survive my attack? I destroyed you with the death status effect... you should permanently be dead! With my power as a Primordial, even resurrection items are negated entirely."
"Huh, really?" Crimson scratched the back of his head, "I guess I should thank Angelica for that item then."
"Angelica? One of the Four Great Kings?"
"Yeah, she told me to try it out. It's a prototype that the West Continent is building that allows them to revive players who die within the game. Right before I left Ottenmore, she gave it to me, wanting me to try it out. I said 'Hell No' because I wasn't gonna take the risk of death. But after seeing that it works... I'm obliged to beg for these things from now on!"
"I see. That makes sense, if a Great King is building them, then it would surely be able to resist my magic."
"You think?"
"However, that was your only one. You've run out of them!!"
"Yeah... you may be right about that," Crimson looked behind him, "Inflict Magic, Spatial Warp," He teleported Minegishi away from their vicinity, "But it doesn't matter... I already saw the little tricks that you used on Minegishi!"
"That bluff won't work on me. You cannot perceive the material world once you're dead, you fool."
"With that item, Testament, I was able to! My spirit was still bound to the material world, perceiving the entire fight. The moment Kuma was in trouble, I materialized my body back into existence to step in and protect him!"
"Such an item like that breaks the laws of the world! That's impossible!"
"Then cope about it—it's not my fault that I have such strong-ass friends!"
"Die you vermin!!" The Nine-tailed fox opened its palate once more, gathering immense heat within its mouth, "Roar of 1000 Suns!!"
"From Morning to Night, from Dusk to Dawn, my shield will be lifted to shelter the weak, and my body will be used to protect the righteous who leads the world into a better light. I cast forth my ultimate spell, created from blood, sweat, and tears. Behold, Avalon's Oath!"
A Golden barrier manifested around Crimson's body, preserving him from harm. The wave of heat would consume the barrier, causing no damage whatsoever.
Crimson charged forward, holding his moonblade once again.
The Red Primordial was left shocked.
"How is this possible? A mere player... defeating me?! No! I can't lose like this, my brothers and sisters will belittle me again!"
The Fox growled in anger.
"I have no choice—I must use Primeval Red!"
The Red Primordial would sit down like a dog. Positioning its nine tails above its head, and raising its snout towards the sky.
"What the hell is it doing?!" Muttered Crimson.
"I, The Primordial Red, call out to my creator, Terra. For I am to protect this world as one of the four primordial's, please grant me strength! Bestow upon me the conceptual power to destroy all life! Bestow upon me, Primeval Red!"
"I don't know what's happening... but it doesn't look good!"
Crimson shouted, carrying onwards.
"But either way... I'm gonna finish this fight on my own!! Haaaaaahh!!"
A red gathering of mana would swirl above the red primordial's snout. It continued to swirl... and swirl... until it was big enough to put the largest mountains to shame.
"Hahahahaha! This attack erases all life in front of it! From molecules, information, the laws of physics, and reality as a whole! All becomes nothingness, and is turned into void! Even your Data Core will perish!"
"Shut the hell up, I don't care what your attack does, I'll endure it either way!!"
"You're either brave or foolish young warrior. Taste the might of my attack," The Fox would stand on all fours, positioning its head towards Crimson, "Primeval Red!!!"
The attack was launched from its mouth, destroying the sound barrier.
It moved at speeds faster than light, defying physics as a whole.
Everything that was caught within Primeval Red is turned into nothingness. From matter, magic, information, physics, space, time, mathematics, and concepts, it all was useless.
Such an ability was befitting for the Primordial that embodied death.
After all, their entire purpose was to bring death upon everything, not just life, but everything as a whole.
But despite that;
Despite their attack being so powerful, Crimson ran right through it.
"Haaaaaaaaaahhh!!!"
He pushed through the Primeval Red with all his strength.
Such an attack could decimate entire countries, yet he continued to run... and push!
Avalon's oath kept him alive, but it was crumbling as well. He had no time to waste. Primeval Red was destroying the very concept of his barrier, slowly reducing it into nothingness.
"I'll show you why I'm known as the strongest Defender-Class player in the game, you fucking scoundrel!"
"Just die!!!" The primordial red would continue to empower her beam of destruction, bringing it to a higher potency.
Crimson was stopped in his tracks, unable to run forward anymore.
He could only struggle in one spot, feeling the destructive attack consume him.
"I'm... not... gonna die... here!!!"
"Perish!!!" The Fox once again increased the potency of her attack, this time pushing Crimson backward.
"No... I won't die... not again! Not ever!!!"
"How are you still standing? Admit defeat, warrior!"
"Go to hell you damn fox!!"
"Hruaaaaahhhh!!!"
The Nine-tailed Fox screamed, using all of her strength.
"Huuu-raaaahhh!!"
Crimson screamed, using all of his strength, but eventually... the barrier crumbled apart, shattering into pieces.
"Shit!" He yelped, holding up Sentinels Treachery to block the Primeval Red.
Crimson was launched off his feet and propelled backward as his skin and body started to tear apart.
He was being erased, conceptually, however...
"No... my power, it's diminishing!"
The Primordial's power started to lessen more and more until it completely ran out.
They were drained like a tank, fully out of mana.
After Primeval Red disappeared Crimson would tumble across the ground, bouncing up and down like tumbleweed in the desert. His body was filled with unhealable scars, permanently leaving his health at 40%.
Once attacked with Primeval Red, the remaining health that the player has is their new health bar.
Crimson groaned, laying there on the ground with his shield around his arm, and his blade on the terrain.
He couldn't move a muscle but only cough his lungs out.
"Damnit... that packed a punch. How in the hell did I survive that shit? My luck stats are average." He snickered at his own comment, slowly lifting from the ground, and sitting on his bottom, "Looks like that nine-tailed fox is drained as well. I guess we're even in terms of resilience... but there's one thing they missed."
Avalon's Oath was a powerful barrier that could be used for anything Crimson desired. It's the perfect protection where he placed his own oath within this spell. No matter how dangerous the circumstance may be, Crimson can bring Avalon into existence to ensure his safety, or to seal an opponent. The opponent could use spells of all sorts, but it would be futile as Avalon's Oath would simply eradicate the spell, rendering it useless towards the ability.
Knowing how powerful his spell was, Crimson didn't just use Avalon's oath on himself... but on The Primordial Red.
"Expose Magic, Avalon's Oath!"
The golden barrier would suddenly appear around the primordial's body, entrapping them within its confines.
"But how? Where did this barrier come from?! Since when was it placed around me?!"
Crimson slowly got up from the ground, holding onto his moonblade before dematerializing his shield.
"I used Conceal Magic on Avalon's Oath and cast it around your body before you launched your attack. You were too busy explaining how Primeval Red worked, so I took advantage of that to conceal the barrier around your body." Crimson marched forward, hanging the moonblade low in his hand, "I left just the right amount of opening so you could launch Primeval Red at me and not notice the barrier around you. Once that was finished... I managed to survive your attack, and completely trap you inside Avalon's Oath!"
"Damn you... Crimson."
"Heh, you're fairly calm, it looks like you accept defeat?"
"I have to admit. I didn't expect you to take me by surprise. I thought of you as some fool who was headstrong with no strategy... but I was wrong."
"You reap what you sow, Primordial."
Crimson stopped in front of the creature, lifting his moonblade with both hands.
"It's been fun."
"Yes... it has."
The Nine-tailed fox would suddenly burst into smoke, slowly revealing a smaller version of themselves.
They appeared humanoid.
Wait...
They were humanoid.
Fox ears, nine tails, and enormous breasts.
Not to mention, they were naked.
Crimson could only process the words, "What the fuck?!!"
