The prayer was about thirty minutes long, the elder was chanting in the elvish language and Bennett could not understand a single word. From time to time he wonders if the old elf is actually cursing him or perhaps he is being offered to a demon.
"When I first received your letter years ago about the screeching owl, I thought that it didn't make any sense" said the elder elf nodding to Albert.
"He is indeed blessed by Hades" he continued.
"Have you ever encountered any children of Hades?" Albert asked.
"Not in my four hundred years of existence, I only heard a few stories from my grandfather that there was once a blessed child of Hades" the elf answered.
"What happened?" Albert asked in curiosity.
"Well, he became Memphisto" the old man answered.
Albert's jaw dropped, everyone knows who Memphisto is because he was the former Pirate King who conquered the world and unleashed a devastating chaos that killed thousands of people.
Because of Memphisto, the humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, beasts and other living creatures united to defeat Memphisto and his "Morning Star pirates".
Upon defeating the Pirate King, they have created a united force called "Watchers", all nations send their best warriors to the agency to help fight against the pirates and other criminal elements.
"Let's not delay this further, I will unlock your divine arts now. Are you ready?" the elder elf asked.
"I'm ready, your holiness" Bennett answered before closing his eyes.
After chanting another elvish line, Bennett felt something similar to being electrified and he immediately gasped for some air.
"Ho-ho, this kid will be special" the elder elf said.
Bennett's eyes widened, he is seeing things he never saw before like there's some sort of numbers at the top of the elder elf which says "Level 45" and another thing written below is the word "Elf".
He looked at his father and it shows as "Level 50" and the word "Human".
"I can see their level and race" Bennett said to himself.
He fixated his eyes next to the word "stats" and it expanded, he can see different things about himself like his level (lvl 1), speed, strength, vitality, intelligence, luck, and divinity.
There's also another word that he can see below the word stats so he minimized his stats box first then fixated on the word "Skills".
Another box opened, it shows that his only skills are sword fighting level D and divine art level B.
There are also two other words that he can see that are grayed out and don't have any level, what's written are "Blessed by Hades" and "House of Scorpio".
"Your son belongs to the House of Scorpio" the elder elf said.
"What does that mean, your holiness?" asked Bennett.
"Each Zodiac represents the twelve Major Gods, for example, Leo represents Zeus, Pisces represents Poseidon, and Scorpio represents Hades" the elder elf explained.
"Only a handful of people belong to a Zodiac house that's why, you will be treated differently upon declaring which house you are from" the elder continued.
"But the previous Scorpio was Memphisto, wouldn't it bring disadvantages to me if I mentioned that I belong to the same house?" asked Bennett.
"Smart question, it depends on your journey" the elder said.
"What do you mean by that, can you please explain further?" Bennett asked.
Albert held his son back and answered "Since he was a powerful pirate, pirates will look up to you".
Bennett saw the sadness on his father's face.
"Ho~ho, don't worry because I could tell that Bennett is a kind child. Let's not worry about something that hasn't happened yet" the elder interrupted.
"I promise you father, I will never be a bad person like Memphisto and I will always protect the helpless" Bennett said.
"Whoah, that surprised me! Why are you so mature?" Albert asked with a smile.
Bennett was glad that he was able to make his father smile but he also wonders if there is something that his father is hiding, he has read a lot of manga in his previous life and he sure knows that parents like Albert have a deep back story.
"Well, time for me to go now" the elder elf said.
"Okay, let me just talk to the helpers so they could prepare the carriage real quick your holiness" Albert said before walking outside.
"Your holiness, how did you know that I was reincarnated?" Bennett asked.
"Because all children who were blessed by God are reincarnations, I have met other children but you are the first from Hades" the elder elf said.
"How many reincarnations are there?' Bennett asked.
"I don't know, you are the twenty third child that I have blessed who was blessed by a God in my lifetime but there are about fifty other holy priests so it is impossible to keep count of how many children" the elder answered.
"Are priests not counting and sharing such details?" Bennett followed up.
"No, we don't do such a thing. It's a sacred vow not to tell anyone about the reincarnations" the elf answered.
"We can only tell the parents that a certain God has blessed their child so they won't be surprised if their son suddenly becomes so strong or wise for their age" the elf continued.
"Your Holiness, your carriage is ready" Albert interrupted.
"It was a pleasure meeting you, Bennett" said the elder elf.
"I hope one day, I could brag that I was the one who blessed you ho~ho" the elder elf continued before walking out of the door.
