A gem? I approached Cedric who held the heaven's paradice in his hands. It appeared to have been placed in a slot in the middle of a golden necklace.
"This..is the heaven's paradice?"
It was astonishing at most, a necklace was the greatest treasure of Solarius. Well honestly it wasn't surprising at all, she is a classy goddess with a vast collection of items and accessories.
"What does Tendon Seis plan to do with a necklace? All of a sudden nothing makes sense anymore."
Xavier scratched the back of his head in confusion, ignoring his approach on the matter he was right.
"How did you even find this temple huh windpipe? your not smart enough to notice Solarius tricks."
"What did you say!?"
Come to think of it, Cedric was right in a way. Getting through the forest was one thing but how did he get past the waterfall?
"Well come to think of it, I didn't find this place by choice."
[Xavier POV]
[Three hours earlier]
I arrived in Aethercrest two hours after I had departed from Chrollos house. I was left with only one clue on finding the lost temple of Solarius, venture beneath the deep forest of Aethercrest also known as the Shinigami's forest.
It didn't take long before I arrived at the entrance of the forest, it was a bit dark as the tall trees and their branches filled with leaves denied the penetration of sunlight which was necessary for photosynthesis, otherwise the plants wouldn't be able to grow. But somehow this forest sprouted huge trees even with the absence of sunlight and that alone was a factor that considered this forest cursed. The other factors were simply related to missing people.
I embarked on my journey into the Shinigami's forest, I wasn't really affected by the darkness nor did I grow wary of it. After all growing up my life was encased in darkness till I met Rachel, Chrollos and the members of Crimson Heart. People who actually gave me a reason to smile away the casualties of this world.
I yawned after walking through the forest for a while, it seemed everywhere was getting even more darker than before.
The leaves shuffled all around me.
That split second, it wasn't hard for me to sense the presences that surrounded me.
THUD!
A huge figure landed right in front of me, it's aura resembled that of a beast except it walked on it's two legs. From what my eyes could see it possessed sharp claws and fangs, two horns on its head, a pair of wings, a tail and hairs all over it's body. It was 10 feet in height and it's eyes glowed red in the dark.
"Whoever you are.."
It's voice was deep and distorted, it echoed throughout the forest oozing murderous intent.
"You've made a grave mistake coming he-"
It's hostile warning was interrupted by my right hand which delivered a right hook swiftly at it's face.
"Where is Solarius's temple!!"
Wind energy surrounded my fist increasing the power of my punch which sent the mystery beast flying backwards through the trees.
I felt the other presences which surrounded me rushing me all at once as I attacked one of their own.
"Huh? Where-"
My wind magic surrounded my fist again and I slammed it into the ground beneath me which in turn sent a shockwave that blew all of them away.
"Is it!?"
The beast I had knocked off it's feet quickly took off flying away and I could see it's shadow escaping.
"W-w-w-wait you bastard get back here!"
I chased it from behind, it was the only way I could come close to finding the temple of Solarius.
"Get away from me m-monster!"
In it's distorted voice the beast called me a, monster?
"A-a monster!? your one to talk!"
I inhaled swiftly gathering wind magic in my stomach.
"Compact bomb!"
From the magic I gathered in my stomach, I emitted a large blast of compressed wind energy from my mouth at the beast in the air. It knocked him off balance causing him to crash to the ground and rolling several times coming to a stop at the edge of a cliff.
The dust created from it's crash-landing settled as I approached it now able to see it's true appearance as we were out from the dark forest now being at the other end of it.
"Good grief your hideous!"
I exclaimed noticing the creatures disapproving look.
"Well no matter, your gonna tell me where the heaven's paradice is.."
The beast appeared to be shaking when I approached it but it was all a facade. The moment I reached it and crouched to stare down at it putting on a smug look on my face as a result of my current dominance, it grabbed me by the cloak and threw me off the cliff.
"AHH DAMN YOU, BASTARD!!!"
The beast chuckled wickedly as it got to it's feet, it flew back into the forest as it was one of it's protectors.
SPLASH!
I sliced through the water, succumbing to my annoyance I immediately swam in pursuit of the beast but was quickly stopped by what I noticed.
The image of a pyramid underwater, out of curiosity I swam towards it and reached out for it, my hand passed through the water like I was emerging out of it, driven by shock my whole body followed and I gasped for air after holding my breath underwater for a couple of seconds.
There it was before my very eyes, the pyramid which housed the hidden temple of Solarius trapped in a, dimension? I was confused as to how this was so but I didn't stress about it before I end up blowing my fuse.
I stepped out of the water and approached the pyramid, I didn't consider that this temple might have been booby trapped and I ended up tripping over the line to activate the booby trap. The ground that covered the spike retracted into the lower walls of the pyramid and I fell face first towards the spike.
"Oh shiiiit!!"
Before the spikes could impale and kill me, I emitted a compressed blast of wind towards the spikes from my mouth and used the compact bomb spell to catapult my body upwards into the air and towards the pyramid.
I was flung through the opening of the pyramid and I rolled many times on the floor and even down the staircase. The golden gates below stopped my momentum as I had my face in the ground.
"O-o-o-oww."
[Presently]
I scratched the back of my head as I explained to them all how I found my way to the hidden temple of Solarius.
"Then I walked through the gates and heard strange sounds coming from below so I busted in to see what's up."
They all stared at me like I was a lunatic, sure it sounded like the most ludicrous story ever but I can't help if strange things happen to me.
"Hate to be a joy kill, but now that we got the heaven's paradice we gotta get out of here before Dracon gets u-"
Helena was interrupted by the sudden roar of Dracon who raised it's head us glancing down at us, especially at me and Cedric.
"Oh? you back for round 2? be my guest!"
POW!
The Serpent's tail smacked me off my feet as I collided with the wall.
"OOF!"
I groaned as I slumped to the ground and the serpent roared losing control after being beaten by me and Cedric.
"Xavier!"
