Chapter 29
"He's a fucking AP?" Zarracen questions voice harsh and rushed. Red eyes gleaming with the unnatural brilliance that they began to take on after slaying the White Dragon of Arcus. She was agitated. Isabella was being threatened by a parent now.
"Calm down," Isabella states looking as calm as can be as if it was natural to know your dad was out to kill you or at least his servants.
"Why aren't you distressed?" Isabella looks at Zarracen with a confusion. And then she smiles this soft forlorn smile that makes the rising anger simmering beneath her almost boil over.
"I'm happy you're worried but this is a family where something like the Shadow Exchange is normal. It wouldn't be the first death I've faced at the hands of family."
"Doesn't mean you can just go with it. If you're constantly faced with death, why are you still here."
