"Her…"
Trago and Prospect glanced at each other. They became tired in an instant after remembering Felicia.
They proceeded to tell him what happened the past three days he was not there.
It was actually four days if they counted the time Henry went in with her.
Felicia's curiosity about magic circuits started as a mild interest, and then it turned into an obsession.
At first, she had a lot of questions, which they easily answered without thinking too much.
Then, the questions rapidly became more and more complex. They found her to be teaching them and correcting them by the second day he was gone.
Before she stopped, Felicia was mumbling to herself, and her eyes were bloodshot. She wrote a lot of notes and stared at them for a long time.
It was like she could simulate the magic circuits within her head!
When she left, she was laughing like a maniac! Prospect and Trago found her to be insane already. Who knew that a newbie would become insane after encountering magic circuits?
If they hadn't seen it and she hadn't asked her, they would have believed she was simply trolling with them! Her progress astounded them.
They also thought it was because of Henry's lesson that day, but the students who heard them didn't show that much of a change. Sure, those students had improved, but it was not as drastic and insane as Felicia's.
She was a whole other breed of insane.
"Ah…"
Henry blinked his eyes and wondered if it was just a coincidence. Felicia was his first disciple, and she was also a freak at magic circuits.
It was a shame he couldn't remember a lot of his knowledge. Otherwise, he would teach her more and allow her to fully expand her wings to fly on her own and become her own teacher in magic circuits!
He saw a lot of potential within her. Although this magic circuit defending the academy was not high level, it was still astonishing for her to make a lot of sense of that part so fast.
He knew something was hidden in that part when he first saw it. It was an object he was very familiar with. As such, he desired to take it before he left the academy.
Preferably, they should never notice the change. And for him to succeed, he needed to replace it with something else or modify the magic circuit and let go of its dependence on that object.
It was a hard problem to solve, but Henry was confident in himself. He only needed time.
"She's still a long way to go, but we believe in a few years, she would overtake our knowledge," Prospect said.
He was annoyed before when Felicia corrected him, but he had to pack up his ego and accept his mistakes after she gave him a lot of examples he couldn't refute.
Trago nodded his head and sighed. It was rare to see a natural talent, but it would make one full of envy upon meeting one.
The two magus teachers consoled themself. They believed it was fine as long as Henry and Felicia stayed loyal to the academy. They would become the core resource in the future.
"Thank you for telling me. I'll remind her to relax, haha!" Henry said those words, but he was full of smiles and pride.
It was all based on luck. Who knew his casual decision to accept Felicia as a disciple would pay off like this?
Trago and Prospect smiled and watched him leave.
Henry walked to the Principal's Tower. It hadn't been two weeks, yet he already had enough contribution points.
The changes he made to the magic circuit were more than enough to let him read the books in the Principal's Library.
Once inside, Henry walked along the hallway with the portraits of the previous principals. Soon, he arrived in front of the office.
He knocked on the door.
"Enter."
The principal responded from within.
Henry walked in and saw him writing on a piece of paper.
"Henry?"
The principal paused in writing. He put his pen down and motioned for him to sit on the chair.
"What's the purpose of your visit? I have heard about your deeds already."
The principal smiled amicably at him. He had heard the modification to the magic circuit and the fight he had with Correal.
"I want to read the books."
It was Henry's goal from the start. He could finally do it.
A look of surprise formed on the latter's face. He took a long look at Henry.
"Was that really why you did that?" the Principal asked.
"I can tell that books in the academy's library are not worth reading. Only those in your office are."
Henry glanced at the books on the bookshelves with meaning. He read a few of the titles, and they contained deep knowledge.
"Your guesses are correct. These books are knowledge unsuitable for students. It's not good to read them."
The Principal's tone changed. He looked at the books with uncertainty.
After reading these books, students would become lost and attempt to do impossible things. They were great for established magi like the magus teachers, but they were akin to poison to newbies.
"I'm not a simple student."
Henry became frank with the principal. He knew the other party believed so too, so he didn't hold back.
"I know. Your master must've shown you a lot of things already. It's not a matter if you read these books."
The Principal carefreely waved his hand and smiled again.
"I'll do so then."
Henry stood up and didn't wait for the principal's response. Under the latter's watchful eyes, he took the book that garnered his attention at the start.
"The Power Levels of Sparkasm?" the Principal read the title.
Henry opened the book. It detailed every power level known to the world.
It started from the lowest to the highest. It was very detailed and explained how much power each class could exert.
As he skimmed through the words, Henry learned the power levels of this world. He understood how broken their magic system had become.
It was disgusting, to say the least.
