"Henry, congratulations."
"You made that look so easy."
Trago and Prospect walked over to him.
The ball of mana became a droplet floating at the center. Henry looked the same, but they could sense that his body overflowed with mana.
In their eyes, he was already a High-class, but for Henry, he was only a Low-class magus.
A High-class magus was only one class below them. Thus, they gave him more respect.
The day he reached the Master-class would be the day they would admit he was their peer. It was the social hierarchy of the world.
"Thank you."
Henry stood up with a wide smile. He was happy with his progress.
He got a vial from Trago and took the last drop of liquid mana. Later, he planned to give it to Felicia.
Afterward, he removed the lines and the circle he drew at the center of the magic circuit.
Immediately, the magic circuit darkened and returned to its previous state, except it exuded slightly less pressure compared to before.
He excused himself and left.
He returned to the apartment.
Felicia sat on the bed silently and held a mana crystal in one hand. It slowly melted and entered her palm.
It was her last mana crystal.
Since she was almost done, Henry waited.
After half an hour, the mana crystal disappeared, and she opened her eyes.
"Master, you're back."
Felicia smiled at him. She felt intense bliss these past few days. The flow of liquid mana into her body relaxed her.
"You're halfway there."
He gave her the droplet of pure liquid mana.
Felicia took it and raised the vial. She looked at it closely and saw faint signs of the mana transmuting inside.
"Where did you get this?" Felicia asked.
"It's an excess." Henry winked at her.
"Oh!"
Felicia understood what he meant. She looked at him and sensed something different. He gave off clear signs of mana.
"I still haven't hidden it."
Henry's words confirmed Felicia's guess in her mind. She was shocked and amazed.
"You're going to leave me behind at this rate." Felicia smiled a little.
She couldn't hide the pride she felt in her heart. Henry was her son.
Although he was from the past, she still raised him. The pride she felt couldn't be expressed in words.
"Your father's family's highest magus class is only at the next class after yours."
Felicia hinted at Henry that he was better than his father's family.
"Hahaha. When we have the time, let's visit them," Henry laughed.
His mother had a lot of resentment she wanted to pay back. She would show them that her son was better than all of their prodigies!
"Mm."
Felicia opened the vial and drank the liquid mana.
It dissolved on her tongue and entered her body.
The mana exploded and caused a reaction. Upon reaching the tipping point, all the mana within her body created a suction force.
Mana from the environment rushed inside the apartment and swirled around her. They dug into her pores and filled her body with mana.
This was the Low-class of Henry's era.
The process lasted for six hours.
When she finished, Felicia released a breath filled with mana. She opened her eyes and bowed at Henry.
"Thank you for giving me this chance!"
Felicia was grateful beyond words. She didn't know how to express it. Thus, she bowed.
"A good disciple knows how to follow their master's teachings. You only need to listen to me."
Henry was glad Felicia achieved this level. He initially didn't have much hope, but then she proved that she only lacked the opportunity before meeting him.
"Yes, Master. You have given me so much already. I will repay all of this in the future!"
Felicia went down the bed and kowtowed to Henry with her forehead touching the floor. She felt that this was the only correct way to thank him.
"Stand up. You're my disciple. My knowledge is for you to learn. You only need to keep showing good results."
"Yes!"
Felicia stood up with Henry's help.
After standing up, she couldn't control herself and embraced him.
"Dear…"
She cried.
Her tears dripped on the floor and made a pit-pat sound. She shook with excitement and ecstasy.
This was a future she had never imagined.
Her feelings overcame her sense of reason. She stopped caring that he was her master first.
"Mother…"
Henry didn't stop her or scold her for overstepping her bounds. He let her cry to her heart's content.
Who knew how much time had passed? Felicia stopped when she couldn't cry anymore.
Her eyes were dry, and a small pool had gathered on the floor behind Henry.
She distanced herself and looked at him with lots of emotions.
"Can you tell me about your mother in your past life…?" Felicia asked.
"Sure."
Henry didn't hide anything.
He told her everything he could remember about his mother. They were numbered, but they were still a lot of memories.
Felicia didn't pry further and listened silently. She felt her heart becoming closer to this magus from the past.
He was also a human with emotions. The way he treated his mother back then reminded her of Henry before he awakened his memories.
"You're our son."
Felicia joked.
"Yes…"
Henry's eyes became dazed. He looked out the window to the night sky. He couldn't see much because of the curtain, but he still saw a blurry image of his past mother's face.
Sigh.
He didn't lose everything. In this life, he still had a mother.
"Thank you. Tomorrow, we will visit the nearby city."
Henry was filled with gratitude. Having a mother like Felicia was more than he could've asked for. She was the light that kept his loneliness in the dark.
"What are we going to do?" Felicia asked. She already recovered after crying for a long time.
"I want to visit the nearby City Guild. We can get our rewards and buy a few things."
The two hadn't received the reward for the mission to protect the caravan. Although they didn't do anything, they still deserved some benefits as they nevertheless participated.
