Chapter 1 - The Mafia's Walpurgis

The Mafia a group of people, are from all over the globe with a sense of justice. They perform unethical acts to keep the polite society going, where laws do not restrict them, for they have their sense of justice.

Revenge and betrayal ring throughout their ranks. They are the black market, mainly using cheats and fights to get their needs. There is no pity or morals; there is only survival.

These were the things that Mafians lived by, and being in such a society where the entire justice system is different from the rest of the world meant that some form of design must be established.

There is a person that's the big boss of the Mafia, called the Grand King, but his henchmen usually call the shots. Known as the High Kings, the inner council of the Mafia is the highest rank anyone can think to achieve as requirements are near impossible.

They are also the ones who keep the system preserved and operations going. First, you must have been in the Mafia as an active member for at least five years. Next, you must be in charge of at least 15 countries or an entire continent.

Lastly, you must have at least half favorable votes within the entire Mafia, not counting the inner council or the Grand King. And every three years, a particular meeting was held within the inner panel, with the Grand King leading the discussion.

It's called the Walpurgis. Usually, the meeting is quite dull, with Beast, the current Grand King, always yapping on about the current events and what needs to be done. However, the Beast's hazel eyes seemed to glow as he placed the documents on the stone table.

Beast was quite big-sized and robust for his age. The man had no hair, so Venom always laughed whenever somebody called him a lighthouse.

"Tonight, I've got some news to share. These past few weeks, we have been getting anonymous reports about a young child committing murders. And this kid finally caught my attention by killing over 50 people in one go. Thus, I want Raven to bring her to me."

Beast's voice bellowed throughout the room, followed by a silence as the young man in the corner realized he had been called.

"So… You want me to recruit a kid into the ranks?! Are you losing your mind after being in power for so long?!" yelled Raven as he slammed the oak table and shot up.

"You know it's insulting to scold the one in charge? Pipe down, Wild Feather," complained Venom, giving Raven a side-eye.

"Tch, you run an entire system built on using minors to do your bidding… Of course, you won't see the wrong in this… So stop staring at me before I peck your blue eyes out," murmured Raven, retaking his seat.

"Ooo, I'm so scared... Raven hair is going to blind me..." taunted Venom, irking Raven even further.

Beast cut the atmosphere by speaking before Raven could grab out his blade. Wolf could've sworn that if Beast hadn't intervened, Venom would be one swing away from being a memory since Raven was a boxer in his youth.

"I understand you do not want to take up this job, Raven. So shall I assign it to someone else?"

"No… I'm not saying that; I want to know your rationale for recruiting a 12-year-old to our ranks. This isn't a good morals organization, you know."

"Ah, I had a few Lords survey the Southeastern part of Asia, and since we are still looking for someone to fill in the gaps in our ranks, I think that girl would be a good candidate. And I heard you are good with kids," smiled Beast, revealing the only thing shinier than his head.

"Well, at least it is better than letting Venom do this…"

"Oi! What the hell do you mean by that?! Are you saying I'm not good enough to train brats?!" shouted Venom, pointing at Raven.

The man in charge of the flock rolled his ebony-colored eyes and cracked his fingers. Raven was about to commit murder right then, but Wolf decided to step in.

"Everyone knows that you use young females to your advantage, so I'd rather have someone as patient as Raven to do such a job. Poor girl would probably be in tears if she sees you," noted Wolf as he refused to look at the angry Aussie.

"And I'll gladly take up the job. The only favor I ask from you is to give me enough resources to keep the kid and me alive. And keep this Poisoned thing away from me," negotiated Raven with a thumbs up at Wolf and a snarl at Venom.

"Tch, I'm not a babysitter," spat Venom, turning the chair away.
