A group of legends who seek for a greater world are all in a moment of rest from the adventures they have been on.
Majority of the party, the mysterious hero, the princess heroine, and the young boy who is tagging along for the ride for the sake of there being a lighthearted character within the group, all leave the inn to go out exploring the town they have arrived to at night, in order to gather more information about what next to do for their adventure.
However, the escort knight of the party who exists to serve the princess heroine, and the assassin woman who was once aquatinted with the mysterious hero, are both left behind to hold down the fort, and protect their valuables.
The two don't know each other very well, but after the series of adventures they have been on recently, they can't help but feel a sense of comradeship, and maybe even friendship.
With nothing else to do, they lower their guards at last and rest together within the house.
The knight is usually the serious type, but with nothing to be serious about right now in the moment, he feels like a child who is being lead through a holiday.
The assassin, who is more free spirited, feels the same way.
Her laidback personality and his lack of control despite usually knowing what to do in all situations, makes the female assassin the one in control over the situation instead, for she embraces breaks such as these.
The moment the rest of the party is out of the door, the the female assassin begins to search for a means of playing around, "What you wanna do till they get back?", she asks the knight, crossing her arms in a playful manner.
"I'm going to sit here at the dinner table, close to the front door, and keep my eyes and ears out for any hostiles.", he stays with a sense of initial certainty and duty.
"Come on, loosen up a little. We don't have to worry for zilch, so we may as well play around until they get back?"
His certainty wavers for a moment, for all his life he has taken orders, and whenever someone that he is comfortable around says differently to what he intends, he naturally starts going along with their flow, being a slave to fate.
However, due to his previous order being of a higher value, he quickly returns to his previous self, and becomes dutiful once more, "I'm afraid I cannot.".
"Why not?"
"Because of potential threats that could appear. I'm sure I've mentioned this before."
"If you always care about what COULD happen, then where's the time for yourself to do what it is you actually want?"
"…What I want does not matter.", he doesn't know what it is he wants, he simply follows orders, and won't bother 'wasting time' thinking about reasons behind what it is he does.
The female assassin, who has already passed the phase that he is currently up to in life, thinks of a way to dominate him in this situation and get her way.
The knight sits at the table, and senses that her presence, although familiar, has a hint of venom behind her snake-like aura.
He decides to look away out of discomfort.
She then comes up with a way to get him to open up to him, which is a matter of atmosphere.
By providing an atmosphere that will force him to pay attention to the 'orders' she gives, he will become more willing to play with her, no matter how unused to it he to having a break.
From experience, the best way to grab a man's attention and change the atmosphere in her favour, is through the art of seduction.
However, she can imagine that seducing someone like him will only get her thrown out of the inn, to shiver in the cold, so she'll have to prevent him from getting any ideas of fighting back simultaneously, which is the hardest type of man to seduce.
'Well, even if I fail, it's good practice.', she shrugs and thinks to herself.
