Kylie stretched her limbs, preparing for her morning run through the dense forest surrounding the packs territory. As she stepped out of the house, a gasp escaped her lips when she spotted someone lying motionless on the ground nearby.
Kylie's heart raced as she carried her in her arms, rushing towards the packs medical facility.
The weight of her limp body felt heavy against kylie, but she refuses to let panic consume her. She knew she had to get her to the pack doctor as quickly as possible.
As she bursts through the doors of the clinic, kylie's eyes darted around, searching for Dr marcus. She spotted him across the room, attending to another patient, and hurriedly made her way towards him, the girl still cradled in her arms.
"Dr marcus!" Kylie called out urgently, catching the doctors attention. He turned towards her, his expression shifting from surprise to concern as he saw elviras unconscious form.
"What happened?!" Dr marcus asked, his voice filled with urgency as he rushed over to them. Kylie carefully laid her down on an empty bed before speaking.
"I found her unconscious outside" kylie explained, her voice trembling slightly "I don't know what happened, but I think she's been injected with something" Dr marcus nodded, his face growing grave.
"She was injected with wolfsbane, I need to neutralize the effects!" He said, his voice was steady but tinged with worry.
Kylie's heart sank at the mention of wolfsbane. She knew how deadly it could be for a werewolf. "do whatever you can to save her. I need to tell my brother about this" she said and leaves.
Kylie strides into her brothers room, her eyes determined and her jaw set. "Hey there big bro" she says with a hint of mischief in her voice.
"I found this girl lying unconscious outside, so turns out she was injected with wolfsbane." Lucien looks up from his spot, his face stoic "where is this girl now?!" He asks, a hint of authority in his voice.
"I took her to Dr marcus" Kylie said. Lucien leans back, his eyes narrowed as he assess the situation. "A rogue wolf on our territory?!" He raises an eyebrow his lips curling into a smirk. "Sounds like you've got a habit of bringing strays home sis" he says, sarcasm dripping from his voice.
Kylie rolls her eyes. "Question her once she wakes up" she said with her arms crossed. Lucien raises and eyebrow, a visible frown on his face. "Excuse me, why should I be the one to question her. You're the one who found her!"
"Yeah I know, but since I didn't get to go on my morning run, I gotta pick up layla from the airport."
"Alright fine, I'll deal with her when she wakes up!" Luciens voice is steely, and his eyes hard and focused.
"Oh, and one more thing brother." Kylie quirks an eyebrow, a sly grin on her face. "I'm borrowing your car. Don't worry, I'll bring it back in once piece." She gives him a wink and a playful shove before snagging his keys off the table.
Luciens jaw dropped in disbelief. As kylie heads out, she tossess him a smirk over her shoulder. "Don't wait up big bro. Remember you gotta question our little stray!"
And with that, she disappears out the door, leaving lucien shaking his head in disbelief. Lucien stares at the empty doorway for a minute before shaking his head with a chuckle.
He knows kylie's got this, but he can't resist muttering under his breath, "that girl is gonna give me a heart attack one day." Lucien shakes his head again, rolling his eyes skyward as he thinks about what kind of shenanigans kylie might be getting into.
He sighs, muttering "I gotta remember to hide my car keys from now on. That girls a whirlwind of trouble, I swear!"
Meanwhile, kylie's cruising down the road, blasting some music at the highest volume with the windows down, her hair whipping in the wind.
She's got a mischievous glint in her eyes as she zips through traffic, totally unfazed by the honking horns and raised fists.
Kylie pulls into the airport, revving her engine as she parks in the pickup area. She checks her phone, layla's flight just landed.
As kylie waited she spots a bunch of sour faced security guards giving her the side eye, probably not used to seeing a woman roll up in a flashy ride.
But she just grins at them with confidence. She decided to keep herself busy with her phone as she waited for layla but she was quickly interrupted by a security guard.
"Hey there sweetheart, nice wheels. You here to pickup a loved one, or just enjoying the view." He said and winked awkwardly.
Kylie rolls her eyes and says "I'm here to pickup a friend and you're blocking my view. So unless you wanna get flattened like a bug on a windshield, I'd suggest you move along."
Taken aback by kylie's response he says "whoa, I was just making friendly conversation. No need to get so territorial."
Kylie snorts derisively, her tone dripping with sarcasm "friendly conversation huh? I'd hate to see your idea of an enemy then." She leans back in her seat, crossing her arms over her chest as she studies the guards bewildered expression.
"Now unless you've got a boarding pass or a bag to check, I suggest you find someone else to bother capishe."
"The guard blinks, his cheeks flushing a bit "uh, right. Got it. I'll, uh.... leave you to it then." He scurries of muttering "Damn I thought I'd get lucky with her."
Kylie just laughs shaking her head. "poor guy never stood a chance." She says to herself, a twinkle of amusement in her eyes.
A few minutes later, layla is walking out of the airport terminal, a wide grin on her face as she spots kylie. She waves wildly, causing a few heads to turn in her direction.
"Yo kylie!" She calls out, she calls out throwing her carry on bag over her shoulder. "I'm back like I never left bitches!"
Kylie can't help but grin back at her friend. "hey lay! You ready to cause some chaos?!" She swings open the car door, gesturing for layla to get in.
Layla slides into the passenger seat "heck yeah!" She half yelled. Curiosity lighting up in her face. "By the way, who was that dude you were talking to? He looked kinda flustered."
Kylie shoots her a sly glance. "Oh you know, just some rent-a-cop who thought he could flirt with me. I mean seriously he literally has no game."
Layla cackles "oof poor guy. He didn't stand a chance." She tossess her bag in the back seat and settles in, getting comfortable.
"Alright let's head home, I've really missed all of you!"
