Chapter 7 - Cade

Elvira steps towards the bathroom door, which opens to reveal kylie standing there, holding a neatly folded stack of clothes in her hands.

Kylie's dark hair is tied back into a sleek ponytail, a few loose strands framing her face.

Elviras eyes widen as she takes in the clothes kylie is offering, the vibrant shock of pink assaulting her senses.

With a mischievous smile tugging at the corner of her lips, elvira raises an eyebrow and tilts her head slightly.

"I'm not a fan of the color pink" she says, a hint of sass lacing her words. Her voice carries a confident tone, a reflection of her strong personality.

Unfazed by elviras remark, kylie chuckles softly, her dimples becoming more prominent. "No worries" she replies, her voice filled with warmth "I've got you covered"

Kylie steps aside, making way for layla to enter the room. Layla's auburn hair tumbles down her shoulders. In her hands, she holds a hanger draped with a garment.

As elviras eyes widen with anticipation, layla unveils the ensemble she has prepared. It's a black velvet and lace trim star strappy crop top with black denim shorts and black holographic platform ankle boots.

Elviras lips curve into a delighted grin as she takes in the sight of the ensemble. Gently kylie passes the clothes she had initially offered to layla, their eyes exchanging a silent understanding.

Elvira meanwhile steps closer to layla. "is this for me?!" Elvira asks, her voice filled with a mixture of awe and surprise. Layla nods enthusiastically "absolutely!"

"I can't accept this, it's too much. I just wanted a sweatshirt and sweatpants nothing too extravagant" elvira says

"Don't make me force you girl" layla says with a glare.

Elvira finishes dressing up, carefully adjusting her hair. She glances around the room, taking in her surroundings, and then turns to face kylie and layla.

"Do you guys happen to have a library in this big ass house?" Elvira inquires, her voice filled with curiosity.

Kylie, sitting comfortably on a plush armchair looks up at elvira before replying "yeah why?"

A smile forming on her lips elvira responds, "cool thanks" and she begins to gracefully make her way towards the door.

Just as elvira is about to leave, layla who had been sitting at a nearby desk calls out, her voice tinged with concern. "But you don't know where it is"

Elvira turns around, her eyes filled with determination. "I'll find it, don't worry" she reassures layla "I need the walk anyway"

Layla, now standing up, introduces herself, pointing towards kylie and herself. "By the way I'm layla, and that's kylie"

Elvira smiles warmly, truly appreciating the friendly introduction. "Nice to meet you both, I'm elvira" she says, her voice filled with genuine warmth and gratitude.

With that, elvira bids them goodbye and confidently steps out of the room, her footsteps echoing slightly in the hallway.

As elvira continues her quest, her steps echo through the grand hallway of the immense house. The sound bounces off the polished marble floors and resonates with a distinct sense of curiosity and anticipation.

Sunlight streams through the tall, arched windows casting a golden glow upon the intricate floral patterns of the ornate wallpaper that adorns the walls.

With each step, elvira feels a sense of awe building as she draws nearer to her destination.

Approaching a tall, double wooden door with a stained glass insert depicting a serene scene of rolling hills and shimmering brook, she takes a moment to admire the craftsmanship before gently turning the brass handle and stepping inside.

As the door swings open, elvira is enveloped by the beautifully designed room. It's a vast space, lined from floor to ceiling with towering, mahogany bookshelves that stretch across the entirety of its walls.

The shelves are filled to the brim with books of various sizes and colours, their spines creating a mosaic of knowledge and stories.

Dust particles lazily dance in the air, lured by thin rays of sunlight that sneak through the partially drawn velvet curtains, adding an almost ethereal quality to the room.

Shelves stacked with books towered over her. The scent of aged paper filled the air as she ran her fingertips along the spines, her eyes scanning the titles in pursuit of knowledge about hybrids.

Battered leather and faded ink met her gaze as she reached the end of the row, coming to a halt before a section seemingly frozen in time.

Just as her fingers brushed the edge of an ancient, weathered book, a soft echo of whispers caressed her ears, beckoning her closer.

The book seemed to emanate a potent energy, as though it were alive. With a mixture of anticipation and traidation, she extended her hand, fingers trembling as they needed the surface.

Finally, her fingertips gently brushed against the books spine, sending shivers up her arm. With a mix of urgency and reverence, she gripped the book firmly, rescuing it from untold years of isolation.

She makes herself comfortable on a sofa and delves into the book, she discovers the dark and sinister truth about cade, the first ever vampire.

Not only was cade immensely powerful and cunning, but his insatiable thirst for blood knew no bounds. His malevolence was unparalled, and he reveled in causing chaos and suffering.

Cade possessed the ability to manipulate minds, effortlessly compelling even the strongest willed individuals to do his bidding.

With his hypnotic gaze and terrifyingly persuasive techniques, he orchestrated a legion of followers who would stop at nothing to fulfil his every desire. To sustain his immortal existence, cade would mercilessly prey upon innocent supernaturals, consuming their life force in a frenzied feeding.

He took pleasure in the terror he instilled in his victims, slowly draining them of their vitality until all that remained was a lifeless husk. The darkness within cade was matched only by his sadistic nature.

Hunting the nights, he would actively seek out those who dared to oppose him, subjecting them to unending torment and eternal damnation.

Cade reveled in the pain he inflicted, forever etching his malevolent grin into the annals of vampire lore. The book unveils cades diabolical deeds, revealing the extent of his brutality, his insidious charisma, and his lust for power.

It serves as a chilling remainder of the the terrifying legacy he left behind, the echoes of evil echoing through the ages, as subsequent generations of vampires inherited his predatory instincts and dark thirst.

Suddenly, a shiver ran down elviras spine, instinctively making her look up from the book. The room seemed to grow colder, as if a ghostly presence had silently drifted in.

Ignoring the goosebumps on her arms, she turns her gaze back to the book, intending to discover more about cade.
