until one day, Carmilla was trying to surprise him she want to be the first person to give him a birthday gift, since next day will be his birthday. she didn't tell him that she will come but before she rang the bell, the door wasn't tightly closed so she could hear the conversation inside

"you want me to sacrify everything for her, even my happiness?" Carleon was in his pleading voice saying that to her mother
"mom, you told me to mend my relationship with her then I do, you want me to not ignore her, then yes I did it. You want me to support her in everythin its as if I literally did everything for her until I almost neglected my girlfriend"
"then today you want to engage me with her, mom I never thought of having a family with her! this time won't and so is in my next life!" Carleon smashed the tea cup in front of his mother, he never once scold or talk back with his mother before but because of her, he did it.
Carmilla was so shocked 'so he did it all not because he really want to mend their relationship? its all was just an order from his mom?' unbeknown to her, her tears suddenly dropped.
'it's okay to cry, it's okay to ignore it' as long as she act she didn't knew it everything will be alright. she went home, she didn't give the gift
