"Daddy, while you were sleeping, I made some changes in the dungeon."
"What did you do?"
When I had just woken up, Luna came over to tell me what she had done.
"I programmed the television to show only the best moments. The time distortion was hard to see clearly before, everything was happening too quickly. Also, I made some changes to the position of some trees on the first floor."
"Thank you so much, I hadn't noticed that before."
As I affectionately patted her head in gratitude, I asked why she had changed the position of the trees as well.
"There were some really tight spots, with trees too close together, blocking the way. It looked quite unnatural."
"If you think it's an improvement, did anything else happen while I was sleeping?"
Since Luna works as a raid boss, the changes she suggests in the design usually stem from her experience exploring the dungeon while battling adventurers, or as she prefers to put it, playing with adventurers. The changes to the dungeon proposed by Luna were a reflection of her unique perspective, transforming the dungeon environment into something both friendlier and more challenging at the same time.
"A group asked if we could send them the videos. According to them, it's so they can study how they were challenging the dungeon and show off the highlights to their friends."
"I'm not sure if that's feasible. Have you looked into it?"
"Yes, it's possible to download these videos. However, you need to spend a certain amount of dungeon coins to buy a specific machine or computer for that purpose. Because of this, I need your opinion on what to do."
The idea is promising, and I can use it as a way to promote the dungeon as well. The question is whether I should charge a fee for it.
"If we have enough dc, we can buy the function. But don't make it available to the public yet. And please, get Alexandra and anyone else who's available."
While Luna went to take care of the tasks I assigned, I decided to take a shower and think more about how to use this feature.
In a room we had set up for our meetings and discussions, Alexandra, Livia, Oliver, and Rick were all present.
"Luna mentioned anything to you guys already?" I asked, looking around.
"She just said you wanted to talk to us."
Seeing that they have no idea why I called them, I decided to explain the situation so far.
"Oh, that's what it's about. I just changed my app's settings as well."
"Well, the question now is whether it's possible to add a new feature to the app, and I'm thinking about charging for the videos."
"I can add additional features to the app, but it might take a bit longer."
"How about not charging for the videos, but only making them available to the group?"
"I was thinking, what if we take the best moments and use them for events? Like having a forum vote and offering a prize or something for the best ones?"
"Any particular reason you thought of this? Or what could we use as prizes?"
"Since you want to use this as a way to promote the dungeon, what's better than a competition with the best moments, using prizes to motivate people to put in more effort and get them to vote for it."
"For the prizes, how about some items from the dungeon shop? Or discounts on dungeon services for a period?"
Our conversation shifted to organizing the competition, discussing potential prizes. Each of us shared our perspectives and ideas, and we're trying to brainstorm the possibilities before deciding before making a final decision.
It was decided not to charge for the videos.
After the meeting, I decided to visit my parents and offer them a contract, allowing them to benefit from my talent as well.
I chose to bring Luna along with me to visit my parents.
Upon arriving, Luna took the initiative and called out to my parents to greet them first.
"Grandma, open the door, I've come to visit you."
Luna's enthusiastic voice echoed through the door as she knocked playfully. Moments later, the door swung open, revealing my mother with a bright smile on her face. Without any hesitation, she scooped Luna up in a warm hug and showered her with affectionate kisses.
"Good afternoon, sweetie," my mother greeted Luna with genuine warmth.
"Good afternoon, Mom," I chimed in, offering a wave.
My mother's attention remained focused on Luna as she replied, "Oh, hello, dear. What brings you here today?"
Luna giggled and pointed at me.
"Ah, Jeff! Good to see you. What brings you here?"
"I have a business matter to discuss with you and Dad. I thought it would be better to talk in person."
"Is it something serious? Is everything alright?" My mother's concern was evident as she inquired.
"Everything's fine. It's something that could be good for both you and Dad."
As I entered the house, I noticed several pairs of shoes near the entrance.
"Your brother brought his friends over to the house."
After entering, with my parents now gathered in the living room, I proceeded to explain how the dungeon works and the talent I possess.
Once I was sure my parents had a good grasp of the situation, I offered them the contracts I had prepared. Knowing they had nothing to lose, both of them accepted without much hesitation.
My mother, who was currently not working, not only accepted the contract but also expressed her interest in working at the dungeon. My father, due to his job, simply accepted the contract and said he'll visit the dungeon more in his free time.
"Goodbye, Mrs. Carla and Mr. Leonardo. We're heading out."
As we were chatting, my brother's friends showed up to say goodbye.
"How cute! Your cosplay looks amazing," one of the girls exclaimed.
They assumed that Luna was doing some cosplay, and as the girls approached Luna to talk, my brother's two friends were looking at her with an incredulous expression of astonishment and awe.
One of them even had an amazing look on his face, the kind of expression an anime fan would have when meeting their idol for the first time.
"It's not cosplay, it's real, how is that possible?" one of the boys exclaimed, his disbelief apparent in his tone.
After one of the boys said that, the girls paused for a moment and looked at him, expecting an explanation. Observing the situation, my brother decided to explain to everyone.
"This is Luna, she's a hero from my brother's dungeon. Like he said, it really isn't a cosplay. She's not even a human race. And that guy in the corner barely holding back his laughter is my brother."
As my brother introduced Luna and me, the group's expressions transitioned from curiosity to astonishment. Luna, with her usual charm, waved at them with a bright smile, her friendly demeanor helping to bridge the gap between reality and the extraordinary.
With the initial shock subsiding, our conversation flowed more naturally. They eagerly shared their dungeon experiences, asked for tips, and inquired about my dungeon, what it's like being a dungeon master, and other things.
Taking advantage of the situation, I mentioned that my dungeon had undergone some changes and asked if they had visited any different dungeons and what cool things they had found in each place they had been.
Apparently, only two of them had visited a different dungeon. This turned out to be a good opportunity to learn how others perceive dungeons and the emotions they experience.
After our conversation, they promised to visit my dungeon another time along with Matheus, and we bid our farewells.
Once the group had departed, I turned to my brother with a knowing smile and asked.
"Which one?"
"Which one what?"
My brother replied, trying to feign not understanding what I was asking, but his red betrayed him.
"Dad mentioned that you're interested in someone. I hadn't believed it, but your face gave it all away."
"I knew Dad would say something like that."
After a sigh, he looked at me and said,
"And you? Mom said you brought a girl home. Did you manage to move on from that ex?"
"It's not quite like that. I brought Alexandra, but we're just friends, and well, I'm doing fine now and decided to move on."
"What's the big deal? Mom still tells the story about you having a crush on her as kids."
We continued chatting for a while longer, with our conversation drifted into various life topics, reminiscing about the past and discussing about the present. Eventually, I decided it was time to return to the dungeon, bidding my brother farewell before making my way back.
