"Take the crown prince inside!" the emperor ordered. As Maximus started walking with Princess Sylvia, the guards stopped her. "You cannot go inside," they said.
"Why? Why can't I go inside? I'm the guest of the crown prince," Sylvia demanded.
"We are ordered not to take you inside," the guards reiterated.
"So, this empire doesn't even know the slightest etiquette of how to treat a guest, let alone a guest from another empire?" she asked with a sigh.
"As I said, we are not permitted to take you inside, so stop putting on an act and back off unless we have to take strict actions," the guards warned. Even the crown prince had no energy to put up a fight to stop this from happening.
"Take her to the room. I will meet her there," the emperor sent a message to the guards, pushing Sylvia toward a room in a corner of the palace.
