Flat-Brim Samurai Chapter 34
Apollo woke up early because he couldn't sleep, thinking back to the moment he lost against Noah. ,"That won't happen again" he told himself as he walked out of the house going for a jog. He dropped his ankle and wrist weights so he ran towards the building he fought in to pick them up. He arrived at the broken building, the crumbled ground around it and the other buildings next to it were badly damaged. He used Art: Sense Enhance to see where they were and walked towards the location. The hoodie and hat he had on covered most of his face. Even if somebody saw him, nobody would recognize him.
He picked up his weights and put them on, increased the weight and started his run. No emotion stood on his face as he ran. It was only the thought of beating Noah that crossed his mind. He knew that if he grew stronger, Noah would too. He got back home and his mother was up, making breakfast. ,"What are you doing up so early?" she said, Apollo taking off his shoes. Apollo spoke ,"Just some training." He walked towards the table, seeing how his mother was cooking breakfast. His father and sister got up next and they all had breakfast together.
His father brought something up ,"Apollo, I know you're going to train harder than ever now, but please lean on us if you need help. With that out of the way, I decided that we're going to go shopping today" Apollo replied ,"Shopping, Shopping for what?" Kenji said ,"New clothes." Him and his father walked out of the house and walked towards the store. The storefront was a little rough with a sign saying "Black Spark Furnace", but they went in anyway. His father said ,"This is my old friend's shop, he's very good at both clothing and blacksmithing." Apollo was intrigued. They went inside to find a man around Kenji's age there, very tough looking and focused on his work.
Kenji approached him and said ,"Hey Anthony" ,"If it isn't Kenji, and by the way, who's that, your nephew or something" He picked up his water bottle and took a swig ,"This is my son Apollo" ,"SON, how long has it been" He said spitting out the water he'd drank ,"Too long" Anthony then said ,"I remember when we were younger and I made my first set of armor after smithing school and you were the one to wear it. It was a piece a shit too… Anyways, since then I've been refining my craft so that THAT monstrosity never happens again." Kenji told him ,"You're too hard on yourself" Anthony replied ,"I need to be if I'm gonna create good equipment, but without further adieu, whaddya need?" ,"My son needs some weighted clothing for training," Apollo added ,"It would be nice if it was primarily pants, a compression shirt and a sweatshirt." Anthony said ,"Alright well I'm just gonna do some measurements" and activated Art: Measure (Which measured the size and type of body Apollo had in order to create a suitable piece of clothing). ,"Be back in 30 mins, I pretty much got the idea."
After 30 mins of waiting, Apollo came back and was astounded ,"You already made everything?" Anthony replied ,"Well, I made these and put some runes in them in order to adjust gravity." The freaky speed of near perfect craftsmanship surprised him. ,"Try it on" Anthony said and so Apollo put it on, although he didn't like the color white, he didn't really care. He put it on and Anthony said ,"Put your aura in it" and so he unleashed his power. The green aura which carried his thoughts and intentions flowed into the clothes and started to spread a black and green pattern all over the clothes. The clothes themself turned into the clothes design he wanted. It was a mix of streetwear with a bit of techwear.
Anthony stated ,"This material is called Shifters Dreamweave, a silk from shapeshifting spiders from your family's forest. Hiroto allowed me to enter and long and behold they also had a very coveted material there for my crafting." Apollo looked down and smiled slightly, feeling at least a little bit better and said ,"This is fantastic." They said their goodbyes to each other and Apollo knew that if he needed some gear, he was going to come here. The quick yet advanced craftsmanship was unlike anything he had seen before and he kept it listed in his mind. He was told what to do and increased the weight of the clothes by putting ki into the runestones on each clothes item(Rune: Gravity Alteration). Although something like pants would normally fall down with this amount of weight, the design allowed them to stay up. Granted, even with his brand new clothes, he refused to take off the ankle and wrist weights.
Apollo and his dad then trained for a little bit at the gym nearby and ran back home in time for dinner to eat together as a family. His mother and sister admired the new outfit he had on as they ate… After dinner, Apollo went directly to bed, for he knew that tomorrow was going to start his intense training for the tournament.
