I was working on the project when suddenly I heard a knock on the front door. I went to the front door and opened it. "What are you doing here Scarlette?" I asked as she walked through the door. "I came to see how the project is going," Scarlette said, going into the kitchen. I followed behind her, she was digging through the fridge.
I just stared at Scarlette, she looked a bit disturbed. I wanted to ask if she's alright. If there is anything for me to do for her I would do it. She closed the fridge door looking at me. "So, where's the project?" Scarlette asked, with a little smile. I gave her a smile back. "It's in my room, come on I'll show you," I said while we were leaving the kitchen.
We got up the stairs to my room. Scarlette sat on the bed and I grabbed the project off the table and then brought it to the bed. As I sat down we started to add touches to the project. After Scarlette and I finished the project I stared at her again. She still looks disturbed. "Hey, is everything alright?" I asked Scarlette, starting to be concerned about her.
"Uh yeah, I went to the mall with Tina and saw your brother, Henry with his friends. I didn't recognize him at first, to be honest. He told me that he would come and visit you," Scarlette said. "Oh really, it's been a while since I saw Henry," I said, with a chuckle. "I have a question, is Henry part of your whole family mafia gang?" Scarlette asked, curious.
"Yeah he is, Henry and I are doing what we have to because our dad is the boss and one of us will take his place when he retires," I said, looking deep into her eyes. "So what about his friends he was with, are they part of it also?" Scarlette asked. "No, those were his friends that he knew since middle school I believe. They don't know the situation, and neither do my friends except you, I said to Scarlette. She just nodded, processing everything.
I decided to try to change the subject. "Want to do something?" I asked. "Yeah let's watch a movie," Scarlette requested, with a smile on her beautiful face. I was glad to see her smiling. "Great, I'll go get the laptop," I said smiling back at her. I went downstairs to get the laptop. I got back to the room and sat right next to Scarlette on the bed. "What do you want to watch?" I asked. "It doesn't matter," she said, with a smile.
So I picked a random movie. I asked Scarlette if she wanted to keep the lights on or off. She said that she wanted them off. I got up to turn the lights off, then sat back on the bed and started the movie. Everything was perfect between us. Nothing was awkward or weird. A few times while watching the movie I kept glancing at her. She looked so perfect the day I met her. I came out of my thoughts and paid attention to the movie.
Later during the movie, Scarlette fell asleep on my shoulder. I turned my head and looked at her. Scarlette's hair was in her face. So I moved a strain of her hair behind her ear. She looked so peaceful sleeping. I closed my laptop and moved it carefully away without waking Scarlette up. I grabbed a blanket and put on Scarlette and I. After making sure Scarlette was warm. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
I heard someone crying and it got my attention to wake up. I open my eyes and turn to the side and see Scarlette holding her knees to her chest, sniffling, and tears rolling down her face. I sit up, then Scarlette turns to me. "Sorry did I wake you?" she asked. "It's fine," I said, looking at her very concerned. "Is everything okay?" Scarlette didn't answer my question. She just stared at me, with more tears rolling down her face. I got closer to her and wrapped my arms around her and pulled her a bit closer to me.
She put her head on my chest and cried harder. "Just let it all out if you need to," I said. It really broke me to see Scarlette so vulnerable like this. I haven't seen her like this before. It made me worry. "I'll always be here for you as your best friend. I will be here when you need," I said, trying not to burst into tears. Scarlette started to calm down a bit. She lifted her head off my chest and looked at me. I wiped her tears away.
"Thank you for being such a good friend," Scarlette said, "How can you be friends with a horrible person like me?" "You made some mistakes in your life, but that doesn't make you a horrible person," I said, trying to figure out why she is feeling so horrible about herself.
I leaned closer to Scarlette and then pinned her to the bed. My hands were wrapped around her wrist tightly. She still continued looking into my eyes. Scarlette was still not trying to get her wrist free. I thought it was strange because when we were younger we had this game that we would play once in a while. I started by pinning Scarlette down to the floor to prove that I was stronger. Then she'd free herself then pin me down.
"You're not trying to pin me down," I said. Scarlette didn't say anything. She tried moving her wrist to be free, but she was struggling. "Looks like you're struggling," I said chuckling. She got her hands free from my grasp then pinned me down. I was a bit scared because it was an instant when she pinned me down once she got freed. She didn't seem sad anymore. I was happy seeing her smiling. "I'm still stronger than you," Scarlette said. "But you struggled a bit though," I said, with a smirk.
While Scarlette got distracted in her own thoughts that's when I freed myself and started tickling her. It was funny she was trying to stop me from tickling. It was cute to see her try but failed. I just kept tickling her. She even rolled off the bed. "Are you okay?" I asked, worried that she got hurt. "Yeah," Scarlette groaned, rubbing the side of her head. I got off the bed to sit on the floor with Scarlette.
"Does it hurt that bad?" I asked, rubbing the side of her head. "No, it doesn't hurt that bad," Scarlette groaned. We both started laughing. It was wonderful for us being our old selves acting childish, being happy, and not worried about anything. I got Scarlette off the ground and put her back on the bed. We were sitting on the bed face to face. It felt really calming.
Scarlette leaned close to me and then kissed me. I kissed her back. I pulled her even closer to me. Scarlette wrapped her arms around my neck. I couldn't help myself, so I started taking my clothes off. Scarlette started taking off her clothes too. I stared at her, admiring her body. She kept her eyes on mine. "If you feel uncomfortable we don't have to," I said.
Before I could say anything else Scarlette pinned me to the bed. Her hand around my wrist real tight. She leaned down and started kissing me. I rearranged myself then Scarlette was underneath me. I started kissing her chest, her neck, and then her lips. After that I slipped my tongue in her mouth...
I opened my eyes and realized that Scarlette was still laying on my chest asleep like before. I wasn't sure about what happened in my dream. I look down at Scarlette and whispered, "You make me have crazy thoughts," and then kissed the top of her head. I gently moved Scarlette off my chest.
Put her head on the pillow and then covered her up with the blanket. I got off the bed and went to the bathroom. I turned the sink on and splash water on my face. I went back in the room took my shirt because I thought it was hot. I laid on the bed closed my eyes to sleep.
I woke up facing the window. The sun was shining brightly through the window, so turned the other way. I saw Scarlette walking through the room just wearing lingerie. I bit my lip trying not to smile. The black lingerie looked so perfect with her body figure. I saw Scarlette looking through my clothes. As she was putting on a pair of my joggers, I notice her bra was messed up.
I got off the bed quietly so she wouldn't notice that I was awake. I walked toward her and I fixed her bra. Scarlette was very still like a statue. I sat back down on the bed afterwards. Scarlette was putting on a shirt and then she sat next to me on the bed. I wanted say something that wouldn't have been weird, but I just kept my mouth shut, looking down at the floor.
"Is everything okay?" Scarlette asked, putting her hand on my shoulder. I turned my head to face her and then said, "No, everything is not okay and you really don't want to know what's wrong." "Oh come on, you can tell me,'' she said. "I had a dream last night," I said, without wanting to say everything else.
