Sarah stood there, clutching the wish card in her hands, her mind in turmoil. The encounter with the mysterious figure had left her with a mix of emotions—hope, fear, curiosity, and uncertainty. The decision before her felt monumental, and she knew that whatever choice she made would have profound consequences.
As she walked back home, her mind was filled with thoughts of Travis, their memories together, and the offer of the wish card. She couldn't shake the feeling that there was something extraordinary about the encounter, something beyond the realm of ordinary reality.
Once home, Sarah carefully placed the wish card on her bedside table, unable to ignore the pull it had on her heart. She couldn't sleep that night, her mind restless with conflicting thoughts. The allure of having Travis back in her life was undeniable, but the potential consequences weighed heavily on her heart.
"I just want to see him again," she murmured, clutching the wish card in her hand.
A long silence followed as she lay in bed, pondering her decision. Then, she finally made her decision...
The next morning, Sarah headed to the park where she met Travis five years ago. It had been a long time since she last visited this place, and as she walked, her mind was filled with thoughts of their shared memories.
Sarah paused by the bench where she and Travis first met, reminiscing about the past. A wave of emotion washed over her, and she could feel her heartache as she stood there.
She remembered that fateful day, when she first saw him and her heart skipped a beat. The way he smiled at her, his eyes filled with warmth. She never felt that way about another person before, and her entire world seemed to come to life the moment he took her hand.
Then she walked toward the abandoned building she recently bought, her heart heavy with longing. She took the stairs to the roof. It was here, in this very place, where she first kissed Travis. She recalled the feeling of his lips pressed against hers, the sweet taste of his lips, the way he held her in his arms.
It was here where they shared their first dance, the first time she truly felt whole and at peace in this world. It was here where he said he wanted to feel alive.
The wind blew gently across the roof, stirring up her hair. As Sarah gazed out at the landscape, her heart ached with longing. She leaned over the railing and closed her eyes, trying to calm her emotions.
She felt a sense of warmth, as if someone was there with her, holding her hand. As she opened her eyes, there was no one there. Yet, she felt the comforting presence of a loved one who had departed long ago.
As she stood there, feeling the warm wind blow across her face, she took out the golden wish card from her pocket. She felt the energy radiating from the card, and her mind was flooded with memories of the mysterious figure she met last night.
"Let's do it."
She turned around and began to walk down the stairs. She then made her way to the cemetery, where Travis' grave was located. She walked fast, wanting to reach the graveyard as soon as possible.
Once there, she knelt in front of his grave, feeling the weight of her decision pressing against her chest. She held the card before the grave, taking in the majestic beauty of the etchings on its surface. Then she turned it over.
"I wish Travis Evans were alive." She imagined his perfect healthy image in her mind.
A bright light flashed across the cemetery, and the wish card began to glow with intense power. An invisible force filled the air with energy, swirling around Sarah like a whirlwind.
Then, the light began to fade away, along with the card. She waited there for hours, waiting for a miracle to happen. She wants so desperately to see Travis again, to feel his touch once more.
As time went by, the sun began to set. Her heart felt heavy. Everything was just like how it was... Nothing changed. There was no movement from the grave or from the tombstone.
The sun disappeared behind the horizon. Sarah sat down by the grave. She wanted to cry, but she couldn't.
"Was it a joke all along?" She asked, remembering the mysterious figure. "Was everything just an illusion? A dream?"
The night sky above her was filled with stars, and the silence of the graveyard enveloped Sarah. The weight of her decision, the longing in her heart, and the uncertainty of the wish card's power weighed heavily on her.
As she sat there, a gentle breeze swept through the graveyard, rustling the leaves of the trees nearby. Sarah closed her eyes, taking deep breaths to calm her racing thoughts. She tried to come to terms with the possibility that her wish might not have been granted, that bringing Travis back might have been too much to ask for.
"I must have been foolish to believe that such a thing could be possible," she whispered to the night. "Hahaha... I am so stupid. That con man... Hahaha... Bastard must have played a joke on me."
As she sat there in the quiet darkness, a soft voice echoed in her mind, the same voice that had warned her about the consequences of her wish.
"Foolish, you are not," the voice said, its tone gentle and soothing. "The desire in your heart was pure, and your longing for him was genuine. But the power of the wish card is not to be taken lightly. It can only access the realms of possibilities, and sometimes, the most heartfelt wishes come with the greatest challenges."
Sarah's eyes widened as she realized that the voice wasn't just a memory—it was there, speaking to her in the present moment. She looked around, but there was no one else in the graveyard.
"Who are you? Where are you?" she asked, her voice trembling.
"I am but a presence, a messenger of the multiverse," the voice replied. "I do not possess a physical form, but my essence exists within the realms beyond your perception."
As Sarah listened, she felt a sense of awe and curiosity. The encounter with the mysterious figure had been real, and now, this ethereal presence was guiding her through the aftermath of her wish.
"You wished for Travis to be alive, and your desire was heard," the voice continued. "But the journey between life and death is a delicate one, his soul has already reincarnated in another world. Right now, your wish has put him in a delicate position."
"Wha... What do you mean by delicate position?" She stuttered in confusion.
"Life for a life," the voice explained. "The multiverse has its own way of balancing the scales. "He has to die in that world to be brought back to this one. The consequences of such a wish are intricate and interconnected. For Travis to return, he must leave behind the life he has in the other world, and the people he knows there will experience his loss."
"WHAT!? What the hell are you talking about? I... I didn't mean for this... I just wanted him back with me," she yelled at the voice angrily.
"Our first messenger has already warned you, hasn't he? Be careful of what you wish for... It might just come true."
Sarah's eyes widened as she realized the full implication of her wish. The more she thought about it, the more she felt a surge of emotion rising up from within. She felt like a child again, tears welling up in her eyes, her heart filled with regret, "Did I just kill him for my selfish wish?"
She stood up, shaking in anger. She doesn't know if the words coming from the messenger's mouth are true or not. She didn't care if it was a prank or reality. Right now, they just crossed the line.
"You bastards... You used me to kill Travis, didn't you? Why did you do such a sick thing to me? Answer me! WHY?" She yelled at the voice.
"Hahahaha! No, no, no, no... You can not blame us. We warned you and yet you went with your desire. And just like we promised, he will come back to life in this world. But when... that we don't know. Human child, this world needs him more than the world he is living in. You will understand one day..." said the voice.
"I don't care about your grand designs! You can't play with people's lives like this! Undo the wish right now!" Sarah demanded, her emotions spiraling out of control.
"Once a wish is made, its consequences are set in motion. The multiverse operates on its own laws, and we, the messengers, are merely instruments that convey the possibilities. We do not control the outcomes. It's time for us to take our leave..." said the voice.
Dark clouds rolled in, covering the night sky, and the first raindrops started to fall. Thunder rumbled in the distance, and the rain intensified, pouring down on the graveyard and drenching Sarah.
Tears mingled with raindrops on Sarah's cheeks as she stood there, feeling a mix of anger, regret, and sorrow. The weight of her decision and the consequences of her wish weighed heavily on her heart.
"Why? Why did I have to make that wish? I didn't want this! I never wanted him to suffer or for anyone else to suffer for my selfishness," she cried out to the stormy sky.
As the rain poured down, she felt a sense of helplessness and despair. She felt like she had lost control over her life and the fate of those she cared about. The storm seemed to mirror the turmoil in her heart.
A sudden flash of lightning illuminated the cemetery, and for a brief moment, she thought she saw a figure standing amidst the gravestones. It was a tall, shadowy figure, similar to the one she encountered before, but she couldn't be sure if it was real or a trick of her imagination.
"Is that you? Are you still here, watching me suffer?" she called out, her voice breaking.
There was no reply, but a strong gust of wind swept through the graveyard, sending shivers down her spine. She felt a chill in the air, as if the presence she had encountered before was still lingering, observing her in silence.
"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry, Travis," she whispered to the wind, her words carried away by the rain.
With a heavy heart, she turned away from the grave and began to walk back home. The rain soaked her clothes, but she barely noticed. Her mind was consumed with guilt and regret, and she wished she could turn back time and undo her wish.

[Inside the coffin]
Inside the coffin, Travis found himself in a state of confusion. He couldn't understand what was happening. One moment, he was in another world, living a different life, and the next, he felt an inexplicable pull, drawing him back to a place he thought he had left behind forever.
The transition was disorienting, and as he opened his eyes, he found himself surrounded by darkness.
[First person POV]
Where am I? What's happening? I was fighting that All For One... And now, I am here! Did that bastard use some weird Quirk to mess with me?
I tried to make sense of my surroundings, but all I could perceive was darkness. It was suffocating, need to get out of here. I punched through the darkness, trying to find a way out.
[Boooom!] Huff! Finally, fresh air. I threw another punch above me, bursting through the confined space. It's raining and everything is muddy. Where the hell... am... I?
My eyes fell on the erected gravestones.
