Chapter 1 - God Strikes A Cute Little Gal

"Shucks! It hurts!" A woman's voice echoes around.

"Who flipped the switch and killed the lights? It's all dark up in here. Low-key creepy vibes, man." She said, her eyes fluttering open.

"Look doctor! Lin Siyu is awake!" A pleasant cry came beside the girl.

The girl could vaguely see the surrounding lights, but felt her conscious blur.

"Man, am I peeping at a 144p screen or what?" she mumbled to herself.

"Cause this quality ain't impressing anyone, for real."

"Xiao Siyu, Xiao Siyu! Are you ok?" A loud voice rang in her ears.

"Dang, did they install a wind turbine by my ears or what? It's like crazy loud out here!" Lin Siyu said, shaking her head.

After a few seconds, she felt her consciousness come back to normal and looked at the familiar/unfamiliar woman in front of her.

"Whoa, what's a gorgeous gal doing chillin' in my room?" Lin Siyu whispered.

The sound of her whisper carried to the girl next to her, who immediately burst into tears.

"Woo! Xiao Siyu, don't you remember your older sister, Lin Zhirou!"

With tears streaming down her face, an old man with a long white beard came in from behind and took Lin Siyu's pulse.

"Her body is fine, though she might have some memory loss." The doctor said, stroking his hand down his white beard.

"Thank you, doctor." Lin Zhirou said and bowed.

The doctor shook his head.

"No need to thank me. It's my profession, after all." After speaking, he turn and left the room for the two sisters.

"Older sister? Memory loss?" Lin Siyu muttered, her brows furrowed in confusion.

Her mind was a tangled web of thoughts, making it difficult to concentrate.

She was lost in a game when lightning struck her house, causing her to slam the keyboard in shock.

As if the universe was conspiring against her, her computer blew up right after, and a series of unfortunate events quickly followed.

It was as if fate had already decided her destiny: a tragic end.

Lin Zhirou took a deep breath, wiping away the tears that had stained her cheeks.

"Xiao Siyu. You've been unconscious for days. We were so worried about you."

Sitting up slowly, Lin Siyu scanned the room, taking in her surroundings.

As she looked around the room, the mixture of modern and antique furnishings left her feeling perplexed.

"Where... where am I?" Lin Siyu asked, her voice shaky.

"And who might you be? 'Cause I'm drawing a total blank here, no recollection whatsoever."

Lin Zhirou's expression turned sombre.

"You're back at home. We're your family, Xiao Siyu. I'm your older sister, Lin Zhirou. You also have another sister, an older brother."

As she looked at her sister, Lin Siyu's expression changed from confusion to shock.

"Fam? But I'm drawing a blank... none of these rings a bell. Is this, like, a prank or what?"

She wanted to say I don't have a family, but she wanted to check something first.

Lin Zhirou shook her head, and tears welled up in her eyes once more.

"No, Xiao Siyu, it's not a joke. You were injured in an accident, and you lost your memories. We've been taking care of you, hoping you'd wake up."

Lin Siyu touched her forehead, trying to process the information.

"An accident... memories lost..." Her head ached, a sharp pain pulsating through her temples.

"Take it easy, Xiao Siyu," Lin Zhirou comforted, placing a hand on her sister's shoulder.

"You'll regain your memories. Just focus on recovering for now." Lin Zhirou said. "There was also this book that was found on you. Although I don't understand what it is, it should be a book written by the immortals."

Putting the book on the side of the bed, Lin Zhirou walked out of the room, giving her sister some space.

Lin Siyu got up from the bed after hearing the door shut.

She held her hand against her head and took slow, deliberate steps towards the closest mirror.

Her hair was a beautiful mix of silver and blue, cascading down her back in elegant waves.

Her eyes, a pristine white, seemed to hold a magical allure, like forgotten tales of old.

The robes she wore were a beautiful silk, the kind that looked almost too delicate to touch.

The embroidery on the fabric was so delicate that it seemed to reflect the flourishing artistry of the past.

"Shit, did I get reincarnated into some ancient place?" Lin Siyu said, looking at her appearance.

"Dang, I'm totally on fire! Wish I could've rocked this look in the old world, though." She muttered to herself, spinning around in the mirror.

"Huh, this lady's figure is totally poppin', too!" She said, looking at a certain place below.

[Booting Gamified Cultivation System!]

"Shucks! I just woke up with my own system in place, all good and dandy?" She hummed.

"Hey sweetie, whatcha do huh?" Lin Siyu asked the system.

[The system makes your life gamified.]

"Well, duh! I could piece that together just from your name." Lin Siyu complained.

"Alright, you gotta have a status page, right? I mean, you can't be a gaming system without one!"

Lin Siyu looked at the system for a while and sorted out a few questions.

"Yo, how do I rack up that Exp? Do I gotta take on some funky monsters or what? And like, how do I level up my skills? Oh, and it's saying I got 0.1 Qi, but my realm is none?"

The system froze for a moment, digesting her request.

"Hmm, got it. I've got two more things to ask. Is my spiritual root anything fancy? And how do I fire up my bloodline?"

[Your spiritual root is yin and yang, which is the essence of creation. For your bloodline to be turned on, you must bathe in pure moonlight 12 times.]

"Whoa, this gal gets it." Lin Siyu said, putting her hands on her hips.

Turning around, she walked to the side of her bed and picked up the book her sister had left.

She opened it curiously, wondering what it could contain since she had it when she fainted.
